The official website for Kodansha's Afternoon magazine and titles announced on Monday that the original animation DVD bundle for Ryū Mizunagi's seventh Witch Craft Works manga volume has been cancelled due to production issues. However, the same video contents have been transfered over to an original animation DVD that will be bundled with the eighth manga volume. The new bundle's release date and other details will be announced in Monthly good! Afternoon magazine, the website, and the editors' official Twitter account.

The staff apologizes to everyone who already placed pre-orders for the original bundle. The regular edition of the seventh manga volume will still ship on July 7 as planned.

The manga centers around Honoka Takamiya, a boy whose classmate Ayaka Kagari is talented in sports, excels in classes, and is attractive on top of everything. The "Princess" also happens to be a powerful witch. As Honoka discovers during the "Tower Witches" incident, Ayaka's purpose in life is to protect Takamiya at all costs.

Vertical licensed the manga for North America. The manga inspired a television anime series that premiered in Japan on January 5 from J.C. Staff. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
