Put up a fund for her outfit and then I'll consider it.

Why would you want to get both? Anytime I buy a dvd/bluray, I try to get the DVD if it's available; it's cheaper and works on both dvds and blurays (and honestly, I don't see the difference in quality).

@Nimander I'm currently reading the LN of S&W (though buying it 5 months ago, but I had almost twice the number of classes required to be a full time student, so I had no time) and it's great!

So I pre-ordered Shiki a month ago on Amazon and a penny was missing to get free shipping, so I added the first season of SnS.
They both are both DVD and Bluray.
I got SnS the next week and since Shiki was pre-ordered, it was back-ordered right away.

A month later I got an email from Amazon saying they were still trying to obtain it

Followed a few days later by "Estimated arrival date: July 23, 2014 - August 01, 2014"
I was somewhat pissed when I saw that (luckily, they shipped it the following week).
It came in the mail today.

    Anyway, here's a picture:

Also, @Supernatural-Knight If you want to watch Shiki, you can always come to my place.

@Negi-Springfield so to watch Shiki I have to travel around the world on a flight that takes more than 17 hours and a crapload of cash? I don't know, that sounds like a lot of effort just to watch something I could watch in less time than it takes to get there.
If for watching the sub audio I'd be more likely otherwise forget it.

The subs are great (I first watched it as it was airing), but the dubbed version looks good as well, either way it's fine by me (I have many friends that hate dubs anyway).
I you come, tell me before so I have time to wash everything XD
Also, I looked it up, it's a 20 hours and 25 minutes flight (and $2200 back and forth), it builds up anticipation!

    Tempting isn't?

I'm well aware, as well as I will just watch it online, it is more fun to play along sometimes.

@Negi-Springfield its not that I hate dubs but I dislike them more now than before, although the ones I've seen and enjoyed previously I still like to watch every now and then.
Oh I think you'll have the time, that 20 hours and the layover time as well as the $2200 [is this the american dollar because that is even more expensive for me then] price tag are certainly going to take me a while to overcome.

    @Supernatural-Knight I get it.
I think it's Canadian dollars (worth slightly less than the Autralian), but I may have rounded a little, so the minimum is maximum $2249.
Plus you have to be at the airport three hours earlier, that gives me about 24 hours to get ready, I'll be fine.
Aren't you the one who said they never left their province/state? What would be a better kick starter than going almost at the other end of the world?

    Because
    1. I do see the difference in quality.
    2. It's my second favourite anime, so worth the money.
    3. Konata's rule on buying anime. ;)

^ Konata's rule is 3 copies of each not two, you've got another purchase now to make I see.

That price and time to get there though, bloody hell. I'd lose more than an entire day sitting on my arse not being able to do anything after losing a large chunk of cash. I could buy Shiki 28 times for that amount.
Yep that was me [although I thought I said that in a PM somewhere]. A better kickstarter would be either an all expenses covered trip, or better yet a trip there that I would be paid for going on. That would be one hell of kickstarter.

@Mafiacow you wouldn't happen to have a picture of the DVD vs the Bluray would you?

@Supernatural-Knight I believe you said it on the game the ten of me.
Don't take what everybody takes, be different.

I've not even opened the DVD yet. I bought it before I realised the quality difference, but after I watched Angel Beats the first time and decided it was a favourite. With any DVD compared to a Bluray, the difference in quality becomes much more apparent the closer you get to the screen, which is why DVDs sometimes look almost as good when on a TV across the room from your seat.

    Kakaka~

I get it when it's full of details like in the picture below, but in an anime, can you really see it?

Yup, it's pretty much that. I pretty much refuse to watch anything lower that 720p quality unless it's a DVD on my big TV.

Well this is kinda anime related as there is an anime adaptation of the prequel game, but I ordered Persona 4 Arena.

I also put these two items on pre-order:

The two are sold separately, but can used together.

Holy crap Kiri, that Persona image.
    Took up half my screen.

Tell me how good the game is when you're done.

I'm sorry about that Maddy, but I have to use HD images. And I'll let you know the game is once I finish it.
