Finished Don't Close Your Eyes a while ago. It's been a while since I have updated what I've read. I want this thread to keep going. I love hearing about what others are reading. Here is the list of the other books I finished.

    1. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton which is a re-read for me. This is my favorite book in the whole entire world. I read this after Don't Close Your Eyes.
    2. Don't Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout.
    3. The Memory Book by Lara Avery.
    4. Delirium by Lauren Oliver.
    5. Annabel by Lauren Oliver. (Novella)
    6. Hana by Lauren Oliver (Novella)

Right now I'm currently reading Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver which is the second book in the series. So far this book series is really good.

Now reading: Natchez Burning. It's a very big ol' book. It'll take me forever to get through it.

Reading? Nah I'm past that, now I'm writing one! ;)
(Now research? There's plenty of that.)

This is where it really pays to have a personal library of physical books at hand. My desk looks like a research lab. I pulled out books like "Mistborn" in order to get a feel on how it had it's cast of characters interact. I pulled out "Dune" as that was my target for insane backstory. I can't stop the feeling on how dry that one is sometimes. Pulled out all my Clive Cussler novels for the action packed scenes.
Game of Thrones I pulled out as a measuring stick on how dark and gritty my scenes could get. Basically I didn't want to reach that threshold so it was useful to know if I had to tone it down.

I even pulled out my Star Wars Encyclopedia so I wouldn't forget all the fancy science gizmos that could inhabit the future (with my own twist of course)

I've published a book. Currently writing a book. Then need to write the sequels to the other ones. I understand completely. I don't need physical books to enjoy a book or research on it. That's why I have an e-reader. I read on it more than physical copies at this point.

    That's neat!

I used to read so much my teachers even told me to stop. I always wanted to make my own mark. All those crazy stories I came up with as a kid never left my mind. I can't explain it but in a way I kept those childhood fantasies. I never grew up, if I could show someone the things I think of I know people would be interested. I want to channel it into a medium so others could see it. Decided to stop dreaming big and do it for real.

It won't be easy, I really wish I paid more attention in English class. There's regular writing and then there's writing for an audience.
There are certain things I gained over the years, confidence and patience. It's also really fun playing God on some of these characters so I won't be bored. ;)

Share it with the world! Writing is one of the best ways to be creative in my opinion. It's also a good way to express yourself. Lol it is a lot of fun. I torture mine in certain ways. In Asumi's Revenge I feel awful for my antagonist. He has split personalities. His bad side is normally in control. When he tries to switch back it causes strain on his body. One instance when his son is born the good half of him stayed in control. He didn't want his bad side to hurt his child. His ending is going to be epic.

I just finished Tru Blue by Melissa Foster yesterday. Right now I'm currently reading Tex by S.E Hinton. I will probably be finishing it tonight. If I do I will edit the post.

    Finished Tex.

Currently reading volume 4 of Monster Musume: I <3 Monster Girls.

I bought the first volume thinking that it was the original Monster Musume series. Turned out to be a collection of in-universe short stories by various authors. I'm enjoying it. :3

Started Attack on Titan: Lost Girls. It's a short series that, I believe, goes more into depth about Annie's story.
