No being thankful is simply being happy or feeling gratitude for anything. There are no requirements on what you can be grateful for. You can be grateful to your parents, teachers, friends, strangers, ect. As for this thread if there is anyone in particular that you can think of that has been helpful or friendly feel free to mention them. Or just address the forum in general for being awesome.

Well this makes me think that I should really be more active on other things other than the elimination thread lol

I'll keep this nice and simple. I'm very thankful to all the Moderators, Admins and Staff memebers for managing site. I know there have been many struggles in the past but I'm glad you all have stuck together and kept the site moving forward. To all the people that have helped me out with either anime/manga suggestion or just in general and also to the rest of the members for coming and supporting the site. Lastly I'm thankful I have a "steady" job and my family with me.

 

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! I may not know many of you too well, but I'm thankful that there's such a large community still here. My involvement with you guys started on the first days of Dubtopian Review, and I've had a ton of fun. I want to first say thanks to everyone who accepted my random friend invite back in the early DTR days! I was trying to follow Red's example and welcome everyone to the community. I know I'm probably the worst suited to be that kind of community member, since I'm really not that interactive online, but I still enjoyed the messages I got and tried to reply to everyone!

I've enjoyed discussing manga with @Metazoxan and I'll probably be back to that during winter break. I was busy rereading Aku no Hana when I had the chance, but I finished it, so I'm pretty open again.

@Supernatural-Knight, I want to say thanks for creating the club that helped me get into a lot of anime that I might have otherwise glossed over. I'm not watching too much this season, but I'll probably be free next season.

I haven't been on in a while, but RPing with @Miss Elegent Serenity, @MateusseDarkslight, and the others was a great time. Hope you guys beat the king!

I'm thankful for the various chats I've had with @Jaysp656, @Crazy Potato, and all the rest on Skype, as well as some of the people I've only talked to once or twice (Sorry for never talking to you, @Blazer!) in the forums. I even got to add some of you on Facebook and now you know my SUPER SECRET IDENTITY!

Big thanks to @Keiichi-Morisato for informing me on Japanese culture, @Sporadic for hosting The Midnight Channel (I'll join one sometime!), and @BK-201 for managing the YouTube channel and even featuring my review, which has been one of my biggest videos! Thanks for adding my podcasts, too. I've been editing more and might send them your way.

I know we've probably lost some people in the switch, and I'm sure to have left out a few people, but I'm glad to have met everyone that I did and that so many are here now, be they new or veterans. So thanks to every Dubtopian and JustDubsian out there! Here's to more activity in the future!

Outside of the community, I'm the most thankful for my girlfriend and family. They have to deal with me and I can't thank them enough.

My best friend, who goes by "Odnetnin" online, has been my friend for the longest time and I don't think I see that stopping. He's the only person I can spill my guts to and feel like he understands. He's also the guy who plays games with me on my channel and brings the brunt of the entertainment, so I have to be thankful to have him there, too.

I'm thankful that I finally got a bit of time to sit down and beat a few games that I'd been meaning to. Bayonetta and Professor Layton and the Elysian Box were a couple, and I'm getting close on Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Fire Emblem: Awakening. 45 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles with no end in sight.

I have to be thankful to my friend Oliver who lives on my floor. He's given me an excuse to rewatch a bunch of great anime in between classes. We've gone through Bake, Neko, and Nisemonogatari, as well as Madoka. Currently on Magi.

Lastly, I'm thankful to my friend "Beako" who marathoned Boku no Pico and the sequels with me and made me laugh harder than I thought possible. It was a fantastic ride. One of a few great online friends I have, and he's always there to talk to about anime. I've been able to straighten out my likes and dislikes in anime thanks to him.

 

I have been meaning to write on of these up for a couple of days, I'm now finally getting around to it.

First off let me say this, when I first started on the DTR forums posting and interacting with all of you, I had all ready been lurking around the JD community for like 2 or 3 years I think. Though at those times I barely looked around the forums and for the most part just watched a bunch of anime. This was and am still not all that comfortable around people, even though it was online and no real like face to face contact or anything I still had that uncomfortably when reading threads or looking at the chat. When I heard about DTR I decided to finally join the community. Within a week I found interacting on the site a lot easier, this even reflected onto outside of the community as well. For this I am thankful to everyone in the community.

Now on to some individual thanks. In no particular order.

@Sporadic Thanks you for letting me be a part of the JDO staff. It is truly an honor to work on here. You put up with how slow I have been lately on getting things up. All the technical help and putting up with teaching me the the workings of the CM stuff. Whenever we get the chance to talk that is not about JDO stuff it's always a treat cause you always have something interesting to say. To top it all off without you we wouldn't be here right now. So thanks.

@Otaku Gundam Wolf Thank you for all the computer advice you gave me.

@Jaysp656 Thank you for all the help and advice you have given me, whether it be on computer stuff, music things, Gimp and PS. I know I can usually get some good advice from you. Whenever we talk I can usually assume that the conversation is gonna be a good one, and I usually assume right. I know there is probably some more I could add to this just can't think of anything else at the moment. Of course thank you for all you do for the site.

@VeritasOdiumParit Thank you for some interesting conversations. Whether on games, anime or anything in general. A conversation with you is usually a good and interesting one. Thank you for all your mod glory. All hail the judging mods. Waiting judging everything, watching everyone.

@Dirtie00 Thank you for all the help with all of my stupid questions. Your a cool dude to talk to, the conversations are always interesting. Oh and of course your gif. collection, it seems you have one for almost anything. Thank you for all the work you do on here.

@Dungeon-Master Thanks for being a interesting and entertaining DM. The RP chat is always lively when your in there. Your just overall fun to watch in the chat.

@Keiichi-Morisato Thank you for some awesome conversations. For the great entertainment you provide, and last but not least you fill up my bookmarks with some great stuff. I would also like to thank you for what you do for the site.

@Nimander Thanks for always being a great source for ecchi recommendations. You are always fun to talk to when your on Skype. You also fill up my bookmarks with some great stuff.

Nikd I don't know if you have an account on the forums or not so I am just gonna have to tell you about this. Thank you for some really great and interesting conversations. You keep the Chatango lively, and no matter what's going on in there you are usually always there. You are cool dude to talk to, we have had some great conversations, whether they are just funny crap or serious. Thanks man. The chats gonna be a bit quieter while your gone. See ya when you get back.

@Crazy Potato Thank you for all the tips and help you have given me on graphic designs and such. I know I'm still not all that good yet but I can honestly say I would not be at the level I am now if it was not for you. Your a great dude to chat with. I hope to have more great conversations with you in the future. Also Thank you for all the stuff you do for the site, your stuff always great.

@Eclipse I know we have not talked in awhile, but I would just like to thank you for the great conversations on video stuff and games we have had. I have not had the time to watch any of your videos in awhile, but I hope to get to watching some soon. I hope you can make what your doing with the videos bigger one day, if that what you wanna do with them.

@Miss Elegent Serenity Thank you for everything you do whether it be for JDO or for the RPers. Without you at the head I don't know if the RPers would all talk like we do or even talk at all because without you there might not even be any RP's for the RPers. I don't know if I can thank you enough for everything you do. To top it off whenever we talk your always awesome. So thanks for just being the awesome RP president you are.

@RenTheBoring Thank you for being the awesome Ren that you are. The conversations are always fun when your around. Not to mention your great taste in music. Though I might have a permanent imprints of newspapers all over. THEY WHERE ALL WORTH IT!

I know, it is repetitive but there all true. To anyone I missed thank you all for everything. Thank you to the community for being as great as you are and getting better everyday. You'll have to excuse me if this comes off as a little awkward, I'm not too great with this kind of thing but in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to give it a shot.

First of all, I wanted to give a shout-out to the JustDubs site itself for being awesome. In all honesty, it's one of the very few forum sites that I've ever gotten involved with in my life, and it's definitely my favorite by far. I don't do too well in social situations either online or off, but I feel completely at ease here on JDO and that's something I very much appreciate and even treasure on a personal level. So really, I want to say thank you to all of the great people in the JustDubs community who made me feel welcome and posted a lot of cool and interesting things to talk about that kept me invested and coming back for more.

Secondly, a huge thank you to the RP Club which not only got me into JustDubs in the first place, but got me started on one of my favorite hobbies: online roleplaying. I've had more fun times and memorable adventures with all of you than I can even count, and I'm looking forward to doing it even bigger and better as we keep moving forward. Thank you to everyone who got me into roleplaying, showed me the ropes and weaved epic tales together with me and the other roleplayers that are worthy of song and praise. In other words: you are the only people that I would gladly ride out into glorious battle with any day.

Now, time for some individual thanks in no particular order.

@Sporadic For doing such a great job of running JDO, despite all the trouble you had to go through to make it happen. I don't know all the details, but it's my guess that this site would have gone down in flames if it wasn't for you. So thank you for, you know, not letting that happen.

@Heizengard For introducing me to the Text-Based Roleplaying site and by extension, the RP Club and JustDubs Online. Also for being a great friend when it really counts. I don't to sound sappy even thought it's probably going to, but you really are like the younger brother I never had. And I think it's pretty safe to say that you're one of the best friends I've ever had.

@Miss Elegent Serenity For being the undisputed Queen of Roleplaying! Okay, real talk, I know that you've put an inhuman amount of time and effort into making this group as great as it is and for that, I am most definitely grateful. If I have a roleplaying addiction, I'm pretty sure that you are solely responsible for it. Thank you for working so hard while keeping up such a good attitude and being so much fun to talk to while you're at it.

@MateusseDarkslight Just for being you. That's all I've got, really. Never change, the world would be a little less awesome if you did.

@RodRule Because I don't know how you do it, but it seems like you've always got something to talk about that's bizarre, crazy and yet very interesting all at the same time. You have a way of making the Skype chat completely unpredictable, and a little more fun because of it.

@RenTheBoring Because it's a wonderful cat's life, nyan nyan nyan~!

@Shinimagami For being the mighty paragon of order in our Skype chat. Without you, I'm pretty sure our conversations would descend into utter chaos and madness. And Heizen would be a little more mean to me than he already is.

@Stereoanlange For keeping me on my toes in these latest roleplays. Somehow, I always feel like I need to write more, do it bigger and make it better after reading your posts. Which I really do appreciate, since it makes me kick up my writing a few notches just to keep up.

@The_Lullabye For being such a good shark-human hybrid daughter. Papa couldn't be more proud of you!

@Metazoxan For being a worthy opponent/arch-nemesis. We may yet meet again on the field of battle, but if we do, I hope it is as true frenemies/friendly rivals.

If I missed anybody then I'm sorry, and I'm thankful for you not being mad at me. Hopefully. Unless you really want to be.

I'm just thankful for being here and have met all of you, We all been through many changes and I've learned a lot thanks to the requests for stuff not only that but you guys also improved my graphic designing skills.
Each person I talk to on skype or here puts me at ease as I feel good talking to you. (@Sporadic @Jaysp656 @Miss Elegent Serenity @Natsuru-san @wolfy list goes on)
I can't wait to see what the future holds for us all.

I'm not good at this... I'll just say the stuff that covers online and these should cover most if not all. (Depending how you look at it and yes, DO read into it as I won't say my feelings like this, baka!)
I'm thankful for this forum we have and the streaming part of the site too. I'm also thankful to get to see @Crazy Potato 's amazing art. (The above, sigs etc.)

There are plenty of other things I'm thankful for but, the above covers most/all for online.

I'm pretty sure this is late and I have not beena round much but I have my own reasons for that.

Alas I dont think there's a time cap on what one is grateful for, I'm grateful for a lot of things. and in particular this community, its very strong everyone's nice. cheer full and all ways have something to say. and to be fair we all get along. We are a society of like minded individuals, I love the discussion on this this site, and every member is so different and that's what I like the most, the difference in us all! Yet we. together are a strong society! A community of damn good friends, and that's how I see it.

@staff well with no stafff I doubt wede all still be here, so I thank all the staff for the time and the effort to keep us all going, it takes time, dedication, patatince and being

I think of you as bro, and you've done a hell of a job to keep this site up, Of course we have staff in other departments but you pull us together and make sure were all on track and do a hell of a lot more, your the head chief on this table in my eyes. . I know i'm a little late and i'm not gonna make this something huge, it's no tradition here in Holland so i'm not used to it anyway. But i've had this at the top of my to do list in my mind for a while and finally i got to it. The 7 year No Limit aniversary reminded me of it again.

Like i said, i'm not gonna make it something big so i'm just going to thank the 2 people here who have given me the most from all the people here.

@Sporadic, thank you for being a great friend for like the past 6 years, my internet life and probably my real life too would have been different if i hadn't meet you and the other people from No Limit. Speaking of that, i meet Suri irl a few weeks ago at a concert.

@Supernatural-Knight, thank you for the talks we have. It's been a long ass time already since we started it and i still enjoy it alot. We have discussed so many topics i never really talk about, and ofcourse our anime talks. I appreciate it alot.

2 special mentions are for @Ovyda and @BennyDragonheart , i would have thanked you guys more detailed, but i don't think you 2 are on here much anymore. But you both have been great friends for me too.

And ofcourse the rest of the people on the forum and the staff who are doing great work keeping the site and forum running. I don't wanna thank people in particular cuz i'm sure i will forget some people.

@Sporadic I can't say anything that anyone else hasn't already said, and that really bums me out... But thanks a lot for all the shit you do! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be able to mindlessly wander among the forums!

@Kiri Thanks for all the shit you do as well! As far as I know you've helped out Spor a lot so you deserve some credit for that!

@Crazy Potato Thanks for all the cool shit you do with the site! The themes for each season are really awesome and I'm always waiting to see what you'll do next!

@Miss Elegent Serenity and @Supernatural-Knight You two, in addition to being great people, have ran pretty active clubs over the course of the site's existence in the forms of the New Release Club and the RP club. Thanks for all your effort in ensuring that your clubs are active!

@Natsu-Dragneel I forgot to include you up there! You've been running the anime cafe for a while and you've done a great job! Thanks for your efforts in keeping the anime cafe active! Some good memories in that club from way back when.

@Delta Thank for posting ecchi every day in your thread! A little smile from time to time is a smile nontheless! It's one of my favorite stops here!

@Metazoxan Thanks for just being here dude. As far as I know, you and Shogun have been here for forever, so thanks for sticking with JustDubs all this time. People came and went, but you guys stuck around. I really respect you for that. There's probably other people that have as well, but I'm too dumb to think of them.

@steveyk Thanks for helping out with the site as well! I don't know if you'll even read this, but I remember how you did a lot of work with the refuge site and transferring to Dubtopia and such [that or my memory sucks really badly...]. Thanks for all your help!

When it comes to specific people, I always forget about someone. Don't worry though, that's just me.

You guys make me feel like family. I honestly don't talk to you guys individually enough. I feel like here is a second family to me, because this is basically the place where I learned to grow-up due to outstanding circumstances. I'm really grateful that everyone is here. If this site were to disappear one day I would probably cry [Tears of manliness!]. So again, thanks for just being here. Just seeing this place starting to succeed again like it was way back when really makes me happy! I would stand at the prosecutor's bench with any of you at a moment's notice!

 

@Ovyda I don't know u that well and we don't really talk to each other but I've seen you around long enough/often enough that I haven't forgotten you. I occasionally think back on the past and remember you, so of course you haven't been forgotten and won't be silly. lol

... I'm not sure how I feel about that seeing as your current avi (Awesome choice btw) is in fact, a prosecuted criminal whose now serving as a prosecutor and not particularly the good kind that proves people's innocence either. lol

 

Man, I don't even know what party I'd be in if I ran. Two party system is dumb as hell.
