Ended What Are You Thankful For?

So I still don't know when this day actually was, it was yesterday right? I just want to make sure first because I really am jealous that you lucky bastards get turkey this time in the year.
I'm thankful to a lot of people over the 3 years I've spent here, some have stayed and others have left. So the way I see it, screw the ones that left since they aren't going to see this anyway.

@Sporadic Thanks for keeping this community running, I know it hasn't been easy or cheap but we are making progress, slowly. Without you I don't know what I would have spent the last couple of months doing, I really enjoy this community and the thought that we could have lost it all kind of scared me back then. You've got a generally good taste in anime [except for your view of Baccano,] and your harsher posting style of yours where you simply don't care what others thinks is always amusing to read. Never change.

@BK-201 Thanks for always putting up with my long conversations about whatever nonsensical crap I think of next. We've certainly watched a lot of shit over the last year since I got you addicted to shorts and man I don't regret watching a single thing. Okay maybe stuff like Ai or Sayuri I regret watching but still it has been fun. You've got a godlike ability when it comes to finding these things so without you I wouldn't have been able to watch numerous titles. I chat with you more regularly than most of my friends in life, so I really am grateful to know you.

@Mafiacow Hell yeah Aussie shenanigans, I'm ready any time for them. Thanks for being that awesome obsessed with cat people, haruhi loving, god complexed, gore loving, shit taste having closet Catherine loving weirdo. I can't imagine how different the forums would feel if you weren't always there to leave your opinion on shit taste and the like. Your responses never leave me bored.

@Batosai thanks for all the anime specific chats we've had. Have to admit, I never thought I'd enjoy writing a huge message for over an hour discussing an anime, let alone multiple ones. We've had some good series we've watched and it is all thanks to you. I can't imagine myself having watched Ippo or most of the other sports series I've seen if you didn't help convince me to give them a shot. I also didn't think I'd really give Naruto a chance either but you managed to get me there eventually. I've had a lot of fun with your picks, Initial D was still a great choice to discuss.

@Noobs Although your times have changed and that impacts how frequently pour times overlap I am still thankful to you. Your posts typically put the largest smile on my face out of everyones on here. I've genuinely laughed at the stuff you've posted the most out of the entire sites content. You're great fun to chat to and I still credit my stay with this community to you and that Strawberry Sundae discussion in Last Person all those years ago.

@Heizengard thanks for putting up with my long winded discussions, glad to see that you manage to enjoy them. We might have gotten out to that rocky start but hey better to get that stuff over with in the beginning right. I enjoy reading your posts about the new releases, you don't have too bad of taste when it comes to them so I typically end up following your advice upon if I should check something out. So far I think you've saved me from watching at least 4 shit shows, I don't know how you managed to keep watching a few of them.

@Metazoxan Thanks for the debates and overall thoughts on anime. I'm always up for discussing something and when your opposition is as passionate as you are with the fact finding it makes it a hell of a lot more enjoyable. You've never let me down when it has come to our difference of views on a series/character, it certainly livens things up around here. I find myself trusting your taste in anime more regularly these days since some of those new releases you've recommended I've rated highly, soon I may even listen to you when it comes to watching virtually any series, that is as long as you're up for discussing it.

@Staff thanks for everything you do around here, I might not know the specifics because I don't regularly chat to a lot of you but regardless you all help the site continue to run so I am very thankful to any and everyone that this includes.

To all the other members of this community thanks for being a part of this site, it is because of you all that we can call this place a community. That being said I wish a lot of you would post even slightly more often, seriously we have over 2000 "members" but the same 30 of us post daily, the hell society? Pick up the slack.

Just adding in a quick thanks over all to everyone in this community. To all the members that have stuck it out with us from the multiple name switches (JD, JDR, DT/DTR, JDO) it has been a long ride but we are finally home with a familiar name and rebuilding the site practically from the ground up. To all the staff that have been working diligently to make this site the best that it can be. We're finally doing better than we were on DTR, it's been a long recovery but we're doing better on every end; activity, donations/adsense, etc.

This site would be nothing without each and every one of you. Thanks for everything.

@BaconMan8910 thanks for all your work as a CM. I know your schedule is kind of busy right now but I will always be understanding of family and personal life coming first.

@Batosai thanks for being a great friend. Out of everyone here I've known you the longest. Going on what, 6 or 7 years now? I enjoy the conversations we have even if we've both been a little more busy lately. Especially our talks about TWD in general. I appreciate all the work you put into TMC as well, I couldn't run it without you.

@BK-201 outside of the film club and your staff duties we don't really talk a lot. But when we do I enjoy our discussions about movies and anime we share a common interest in. Thanks for running the film club, your taste in movies really makes you the best candidate to run it.

@Crazy Potato I wouldn't know what to do around here if you weren't helping out with the graphics design end of the site. You continue to constantly impress me with your work and its a real pleasure talking with you on Skype.

@Dirtie00 your work ethic around here is great. I value your contributions to the uploading end and the work you did helping with setting up the format for the way videos are displayed on the site. We have a similar sense of humor about some things which makes you easy to get along with.

@Heizengard thanks for using your free time when you have good internet to help with uploading for the site. It's not easy work and you've made a point to keep going no matter what. And for that I'm always willing to work around any schedule you have. Also, thanks for being there to talk in Skype all the time about anything even if it's just to vent.

@IssyBee we haven't really talked much outside of staff related stuff. But you have a great work ethic and thoroughly impressed me with how quickly you can get things done. Keep up the good work.

@Jaysp656 we never really talked much before I started running the site. And when we did it was typically to discuss site related stuff. But after that we've had our fair share of talks that I have enjoyed. I really value all of the work you put into this site and everything you have done, I seriously could not be doing it without you.

@Keiichi-Morisato you are one of the people I enjoy most on the site. I can relate to you about almost everything; our similar tech enjoyment, college debt, jacked off work history, red heads, music, the list goes on and on. Thanks for all the uploading you've been helping with too, I know internet stability isn't always 100% but you make the effort and put in the work and for that I am grateful.

@Kiri we haven't always gotten along. Pretty far from it most of the time on DT. But since taking over the site I've changed my overall attitude towards everything. Not just the sites well being in general but also in terms of how I talk to people and carry myself. My responsibilities on DT when stevey was still around were too important and I always had the sense that I could get away with anything so I was always quick to troll people, openly critique the site and cause disputes with others, even if I didn't view it as malicious or antagonistic, it was. I want to say thank you for being a larger part of this site and accepting the assistant admin position regardless of our history. You have put in a lot of work here and for that I am grateful.

@Laxgirl16 I'm sooooo damn glad you came back to the site after taking a break during the DTR days. You were an amazing uploader with a great work ethic on JD.net and you continue bringing that same momentum on JDO. You are super easy to get along with and more than willing to help other CMs if needed. I wish we could just clone you and have a dozen beast uploaders. You're a chill person to talk to the few times we've talked in Skype. And I'm thankful you still have the same enthusiasm for this site as you did for JD. net

@Lince we don't really talk too much. but you do have some interesting opinions in some of the discussion threads. Thank you for all the work you do for the site. You're always willing to step up when needed to do extra work, club director, forum moderator, content embedder. I really appreciate everything.

@Mark Denn you're pretty new around here so I don't know anything about you yet. But you stepped up to help with the news posting when I needed someone and for that I am grateful.

@Miss Elegent Serenity another of my favorite people on the site. We talk pretty much everyday and I never get bored. You're always there for me when I need someone to talk to, vent to or just let out my frustrations. You know where I'm coming from and can relate to all of my relationship history. Some days when I'm over analyzing everything or am just plain feeling down I really look for your advice to help get my mind straight. You've always wanted to put in a lot of work for the site and every time I give you something extra to do you more than amaze me. Thanks for all the work you put into the site.

@RodRule you're hilarious in the Skype chats and always have me laughing. It's really enjoyable talking with you on occasion. Thank you for all of the uploading you do for the site.

@sayWut my nigga. My brother from another mother. If we were the same age I would say we were split at birth because of how damn similar we are. I wouldn't hesitate coming out to England one of these times and partying it up seeing the town. We talk a lot on Skype and I really enjoy it. You put in unmeasurable amounts of time and work and even money into this site and that's something I can't say thank you for enough. The work you do generally goes over my head but it's an area of the site I'm dedicate to learning more about. I'm glad we have all these people who are so dedicated to this site and seeing it grow, thank you for everything.

@Severus thanks for putting up with my shit over the years. Working together on the site you were usually one of the people that saw me frustrated first and I wasn't always kind about it. So thank you for sticking around and continuing to help. You're a big part of this site.

@ShadowLinks thanks for all the work on the site. Without your help and the programs you made we would be taking 3 times as long uploading and embedding. Time is money as they say.

@Shogun13 one of the members from the before time, in the long long ago. Thanks for sticking through with the community all of these years no matter all of the hurdles it has been through. There was things going on with this site that i never knew, before I joined, and you've been here for pretty much all of it. I always enjoy Shogun's story time in Skype and hearing the history of the community. I seriously need to start copying your tales over to the sites wiki page. There hasn't been a lot of review work for you to do but hopefully after expanding the review section to the site and outside of the forum and some proper advertising we can change that. Thanks for everything broski.

@Sir-Maddy you're just enjoyable as hell to be around. I enjoy reading your posts and laughing at the things you have to say to people. You have a similar "dont give a fuck" posting style to myself and that makes you easier to talk to about things. You do an amazing job at your news posting. I know you've been busy with work / school so your schedule is a little weird. But I'm always willing to work around that if you continue putting in the effort.

@steveyk what can I say? You gave me a huge chance on this site as a staff member, taught me everything you knew about uploading, editing and encoding. Even though we would argue about site things it was just because I cared about what happened here. I'm glad we could bicker about something and then 2 second later be perfectly cool with each other. Thank you for giving me such a big opportunity on this site by handing me everything when you stepped down. I'll make sure that this community continues for many years to come. Thank you for everything.

@Supernatural-Knight you're one of the coolest people on the site. You're humble, down to earth and a very passionate debater. I really enjoy reading through your opinions of anime and discussing shows with you. One of the reasons I'm trying hard to catch up on some anime is so I can continue having discussions in the new releases club. It's a fun place to post and one of the few areas on the forum that has dedicated back and forth discussions about anime. So thank you for keeping your club alive for all these years and making it a fun place to discuss anime. Thanks for all the work you put in as a mod. I know that there isn't much to do on the forum but its nice having our moderator team lead by someone like yourself.

@VeritasOdiumParit thanks for your .25 cent a day ad revenue You're a cool person to talk to on Skype and always provide something interesting to talk about. Even though its usually some rambling about something completely random lol.

@Walshy where my t-shirt designs? You were always one of the cooler people back on JD.net and I'm glad that you stuck around to grace us with your fantastic graphic design work. I understand that you've been busy lately and that's cool. Just shoot me a msg on Skype sometime.

@Marhuto thanks for always being one of the most active people on TMC. It's always a pleasure and an enjoyment watching and discussing anime with you. I'm sorry that I haven't been doing more with TMC like I was last year but with running the site now and working I find myself with little time. But December will have a nice themed set of activities and plenty to watch.

@Metazoxan thanks for being another person who stuck with us from the JD.net days. You're one of the older members even by JD.net standards and I'm glad you kept coming to the site even after all we have been through. You're a great person to discuss anime with and are by far one of the best debaters the community has ever seen. We agree on a lot of things anime wise but it's fascinating when we don't agree on something because I love seeing the discussion unfold from both points of view. Sorry I haven't been as active with the manga club lately. I will try making a point of retuning to some active reading soon.

@minisiets another person from JD.net I'm glad stuck around with us. I always respected you back on JD and was one of the staff rallying behind you and Kusa for you two to become moderators. I'm glad you're more active on the site again and especially in the Skype chat. I always look forward to what you have to say.

@Natsu-Dragneel Thank you for keeping the anime cafe open and active after what's his name left the site inexplicably left (I think it was rainshadow or something along those lines). The anime cafe is always a fun place to watch and discuss anime with others and you have continued keeping up with that even on JDO. You always have some awesome opinions of anime and I enjoy reading them every chance I get.

@Negi-Springfield thanks for being an active presensce in this community. Sorry your personal life got busy and you had to resign from your media moderator position. If you ever get to a point where you have more free time the position will always be there for you.

@Ovyda not sure if you'll even see this because I haven't see you on in awhile. I've known you about a year less than Bato. I always enjoyed our discussions on Skype when you were on. And you were one of the people who would always put up with me when I was pissed off. We occasionally would fight but I'm glad we could always put all of that in the past.
