You such watch this anime, koutetsujou No Kabaneri or Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress; this movie freaking epic it will blow your mind away, it the latest anime dubbed in Japanese, if you don't understand japanese you get it subbed in English, dubbing this in English it might take away for company the to do it, so stay tune.

I dont know if they have been dubbed, but the series are indeed good and should be to your liking if you really did like SAO, PP and the likes.

Ghost Hunt and Shiki were written by same author as Another (and the other was written by his wife).

Ghost Hunt has a more comedic tone, but you can still see the similarity with Another.

Shiki is a vampire epidemics in a remote village.

I haven't watched anime in a little while wondering what's new and good after watching sword art online and attack on Titan seems like a dry spell of shows at least dubbed anyways
    Any recommendations?

Hello hopefully helpful people, I am just about finished watching my comedy series Minami Ke. I have 3 episodes to go which I'm pretty sure I'll watch all of them before going to work tomorrow. Because of this and the current lack of new anime airing right this moment I will be in need of another anime to watch. I'm thinking something that is a comedy, doesn't matter what kind really as long as the selling point isn't ecchi accidents being seen as comical.
Basically you have about 13 hours to convince me to watch something or I may end up watching Oreimo out of simple curiosity. Good luck.

    @Supernatural-Knight Clannad

    The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

    Wait, I'll actually check

    07 Ghost
    Rave Master (comedy-ish)
    Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Thanks for the options @Whitefang19 but neither of those caught my attention enough while airing so I doubt I'll begin them right at this very moment.

07 Ghost is a comedy? I didn't know. Rave Master has dropped on my priorities now due to my severe dislike of FT after the mess that was FT 2014. Katekyo is one I want to watch but too many eps. And lastly
Bye Negi, you will be missed.

I actually began Oreimo and I don't know what to feel yet. I wonder if curiosity will kill the Super.

The best advice I usually give when it comes to picking an anime to watch is to just pick one and take a chance on it. Not saying this is the best method, but 9 times out of 10, it works for me. If anyone disagrees with this, don't go hating on me. It's just a suggestion.

07 Ghost has its funny moments, but it isn't tagged as a comedy. I'd say the seriousness to comedy ratio is about the same as Ghost Hunt

Rave Master came before FT, so it hasn't turned to shit. (Although the anime covers 80% of the story, like bleach).

Reborn is good, but the best parts are after the anime imo (about two arcs are missing).

"Too many eps" says the guy keeping up with One Piece.

Similar ratio as Ghost Hunt huh? Now you've caught my attention a little. Don't think I'll be watching it yet though, I might stick with Oreimo a little longer after all.

But the characters reflect how much originality FT has, the guy can't think up new characters so I probably should have watched Rave Master before FT so they wouldn't be ruined upon entering the series. I'll eventually watch it though I'm sure.

One Piece, it is easy to keep up with 1 episode a week. But getting there was somewhat hard, 500 eps I had to catch up with 5 years ago, it was a god ride mostly. Now I'm over it, I think Oda's writing has turned to crap so I can definitely believe his current writing style would last another 10 years when everything is so damn drawn out.

Do you like dark comedy, if so, Welcome to the NHK or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei are some great ones!!!
Also if you want some lighter fare, I just started the anime The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., it is a new release and is by far one of 2016's best.

The best recommendations I can provide are (Please note that some may not be dubbed):
Log Horizon, Danmachi, Btooom, Grimgar of Fantasy & Ash, No Game No Life, Overlord, GATE Jietai, Konosuba, Familiar of Zero, & Seraph of the End.
Those are a few I can suggest. Didn't want to make too big of a list. Enjoy!

Umm I think everyone should at least give Blue Gender a shot.. One of my favorite but that's if you're OK with an older anime.. Or maybe Neon Genesis Evangelion. More of psychological situations. :)
