What Anime Are You Currently Watching / Recently Finished?

@Supernatural-Knight The difference between Haruhi and Yuri is that Haruhi is an eccentric team leader who wears a ribbon in her hair and would do anything for the SOS members where as Yuri is an eccentric team leader who wears a ribbon in her hair and would do anything for the SSS members. The difference between Yuki and Kanade is that Yuki is a grey-haired stoic girl who eventually shows some emotion where as Kanade is a grey-haired stoic girl who eventually shows some emotion. The difference between TMoHS and AB! is that TMoHS is one of my top-three-favourite anime where as AB! is one of my top-three-favourite anime. ;P

1. Just checked MAL and AP for both of Haruhi's seasons and Angel Beats!, and neither have "shounen" as a genre, so that side of your argument doesn't exactly hold. ;P
2. Those reasons were the ones just off the top of my head, and prior to going to bed.
3. Even if the similarities were coincidence, there sure were a lot of them...

Any ways watch a bit of AoT dub, still question the changes to script at seeming odd and irrelevant places. if what was there originally made sence and fit why change it?

As for Haruhi, the ratings are in

Season 1 is a 7.0
Season 2 is a 6.0
Movie is an 8.0

Yes the movie was more epic/touching than both seasons combined however, I'd like to point out that it wouldn't have been able to pull that off had we not of gotten to know the chars in both seasons.

Thoughts on the Haruhi series

Haruhi, I like her except that one scene in one of the eps where they were making that movie, she REALLY pissed me off at that point, otherwise she's tolerable and I like her. I also like the other chars too, yes even Kyon & Yuki. (The other guy I don't care for too much tbh but, he's alright)

I thought it was all well done and needs a 3rd season PLUS another movie like disappearance. The novel is still on going so, I can hope.

As for my last comment about it, I honestly think the Haruhi series is over rated. Now, before you shoot me let me finish. Had I of watched it when it first came out, I might not be saying that right now because, Haruhi does something that just wasn't done back then, sure it's been done in a similar fashion but even now it still does somethings that no other anime has done before. Still, for me, at this point in time I am saying, it's over rated. lol Even so! It's worth watching but, I do recommend you be able to have a good grasp of time travel, workld theories and then some before watching it otherwise it'll confuse you. lol (I was able to keep up with 99.9% of what was said/shown/explained) So, again, even though I think the Haruhi series is over rated, I still say I really enjoyed it, it's a must watch in a way and needs more to it! I might be forgetting soemthign but, if so I can always come back and mention it later. lol oh and, unless you've seen the movie, DON'T click on this spoiler.

It was awesome! I expected to see Mikuru in a reindeer outfit with Haruhi riding on top of her teasing her (Saw a pic, fan made I guess) but never did. Also, I did NOT see that coming, the person who was behind it all, dang, took me be surprise. I feel for them tbh, I could relate to how Kyon was thinking about them. Sad really. Anyway, twas a GREAT movie and I LOVED IT!

@Supernatural-Knight No, I'm saying they're similar for being group leaders who mess with their underlings but would do absolutely anything to make sure they're okay, plus the other things I mentioned. It's okay though, I can now see you're just in denial that a character you really don't like is showing strong similarity to a character from your favourite studio. There there.

Hells yeah I want to nitpick. Just because it's of shorter length doesn't mean you're not trying to make everyone watch it regardless. ;P

@Natsuru-san "Haruhi is overrated." Too late, shots fired. Though, that doesn't necessarily mean it's not good; Monogatari for instance is overrated, but it's still really good. Clannad however...

@Supernatural-Knight, yeah Hajime no Ippo is very harsh during the fights. One reason why i like it. Makes it realistic. In what tournament is Ippo currently and what round is he in?

2ndly, As I said, don't knock it till you try it, though in your case Maddy, since this isn't yuri and is only boy x girl relationship here, you might not like it either way.
3rd & lastly, As I said, don't knock it till you try it and as for myself, I watched it because it interested me. I have VERY different views on stuff like incest, gay/lesbian/bi etc. than most do and to sum them up, Natsuru approves of such stuff and doesn't feel/think there's anything wrong with it. If you watch this OVA (providing you can handle the boy x girl/incest relationships) then you might can see the charm and more of this OVA.

 

If you don't mind me cutting the conversation, I've just started Princess Jellyfish. I think I have a fondness for three-year old anime. I'm surprised how good the first episode is. Really feels like it gets across what WataMote tried to without being depressing. Also, Hana Kanazawa, my favorite Japanese VA, plays her. Anybody else watched it? (I will try out the dub, too, so don't be too mad at me.)

Tried to find the full version of eps 10 & 11 as there are 12 eps but 10 & 11 were edited into ep 10 but can't find it to watch online. (Stream wise) This is like, the, third anime where I can't find it online to watch.. Whoever said the internet has everything, lemme know cus I'd sure as hell like to pay them a piece of my mind and say otherwise. lol

 

Finished up to episode 14 of Futari wa Pretty cure Max Heart and also caught up with Pokémon, Bleach and Naruto: Shippuden dubs and the new release anime, glad I have a lot of free time

I'm re-watching Haruhi Suzumiya and Welcome to the NHK, and going through The Future Diary for the first time. The Future Diary is pretty good, but Haruhi and NHK are really good.

 

Finished re-watching Tower of Druaga series. Still as awesome as ever
Also marathoned Problem Children Are Coming from another world, aren't they yesterday. I want moar! (Srsly, 10 episodes? You kiddin' me Japan?)
