What Anime Are You Currently Watching / Recently Finished?

    @Noobs yeah I know what you mean about the Slam Dunk match against Kainan being important but it just isn't keeping my interest very much. I chose it randomly due to someone in life saying it is their favourite series, and that was the last time I listen to them......
    When I am yawning through the match that is meant to have my attention something is wrong, and somehow the comedy is still failing for me. I'm even finding Non Non Biyori more entertaining than this.

    @Metazoxan dark and violent you say? Interesting I didn't think it was that dark. I may need to do some more research on this series before I decide anything, I choose what to watch randomly so it may be the next thing I check out or I may not watch it for years yet.

    @Mafiacow I'm finding Aldnoah Zero quite enjoyable, it definitely hooked me. The first ep was mostly build up for why future events happen, but you did watch the entire thing right? I mean from the moment that
    the princess was assassinated it got much more entertaining. Then the end of that episode which had a giant castle crash to earth incinerating people in a large radius causing major damage to everything else.
    Every ep since then has been a war between the Terrans and the Martians with tactics being used to fight them instead of manly power. Advanced tech that are seemingly impossible to beat, a conspiracy and betrayal it was pretty addicting to watch.
    As for if you'll like it, I'm not sure, the MC is pretty emotionless and I highly doubt we'll be getting any graduation scenes..... Had to say it.
    How does a show about a race of people that believe they are vastly superior and therefore should be the only species to live due to the catalyst activating sound to you? What about some PTSD? Or a show where people die if they are killed? Maybe some despair

    I may just be enjoying it more because I had low expectations for it so who knows, there aren't any cats either. The choice is yours.

    Well it's not exactly super dark especially compared to the stuff you are used to but there are some tragic moments for some of the characters especially near the end of the series and the war scenes where they are fighting enemies got a bit bloody at a couple points. Again I'm sure you've seen far darker and violent shows and it's has been years since I've seen this so my memory about it is a little weak. But if I am remembering right you should like this so if nothing else squeeze it into your free time.

    again the ending was very weird though.

    finished utawarerumono.

    how should i put it.. its an ending that is just so plain. its not that weird of how you usually think of weird ones. if anything its anything close to cheesy. xD also, if im not wrong (which i hope i am), they rushed it. although quality and animation is still there, story is rushed to end probably coz of budget.

    im planning on starting hanasako iroha but i think ill leave until next week.

    I have made it half way through Soul Eater so far I am really enjoying it. The childish like nature has really diminished since the beginning. So far the openings and ending have been pretty good too.

    Kakakakaka~ Lolnope, the saddest part was Fuko arc, but just went to shit from there onwards. Oh, and...
    My mum has bipolar and stuff, so she's had a number of suicide attempts. Yet, I felt nothing at all when Nagisa died, which is strange because it should have had increased effect, but it didn't.

    Hmmm... interesting...

    Kakaka~ "graduation scenes".
    Ooo, genecide does sound a little fun I guess...
    PTSD? Despair? Nice. Okay, I guess I'm wanting to watch it now. XD

    @Mafiacow I haven't finished it all but so far, yeah the Fuko story has been the saddest :'( but Kotomi's wasn't bad either. After I finish it I'll watch afterstory.

    so i finished no game no life today. i must say..

    its boring.

    i cant feel a thrill in this show. thats what you get if you put characters that got everything figured out. youll automatically think "nah it will be done with "mambo jomboo" detailing crap in the end. which happen to every game/fight they are into.

    Finised Nisemonogatari like 3 days ago again.

    Now I'm onto watching Sailor Moon S. Also keeping up with 2 ongoing anime, Space☆Dandy's second season and Dramatical Murder.

    I've been swithing between the two series after I finish a season. For example, since I'm watching the third season of Sailor Moon, when I finish it I'll watch Nekomonogatari.

    Probably after that's all finished and I've watched all of the available seasons, I believe I might switch off with Natsume Yuujinchou and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

    I said in a sense. Fuko was sad arc (no tears though), Kotomi was sorta sad but not as sad as Fuko. Rest was bullshit that I can't see how was sad. Worst KyoAni.

    That... is exactly what I did... breaking up Monogatari seasons with other anime with catgirls...

    Today... went to an event on campus with the anime club, all about cosplay. I went as my standard Ash Ketchum, before realising I should have brought my cat ears too... One of my friends is apparently under obligation to crossplay at some point in time, and said that he would if I crossplayed too, trying to make me wear a maid outfit. But, I smoothly showed reason that I already have, through the following logic:
    >Crossplay is the cosplaying of a character of another gender
    >I am Hideyoshi
    >Hideyoshi is a gender
    >By cosplaying as Ash, I am effectively crossplaying

    @Mafiacow Noobs said it was boring but he still rated it a 7 according to MAL, that is what I rated it. Is giving a rating of 7 really saying something is bad or boring? 7 means good and that was what I thought of No Game No Life, it wasn't bad but not amazing either, so good.
    Also that cop-out on the crossplay, I am disappointed. You had the chance to live out the embarrassment of a character from your favourite series and you denied it. You should definitely do it next time........

    As for what I watched, I watched a few black and white shorts from the 20s and 30s, they weren't that great but it is nice seeing such retro anime. It is great to see how far they've come over the years but backtracking to them every once in a while is a good reminder of how things use to be.
    Also watched eps 7 and 8 of Non Non Biyori, I shouldn't like this show but I am starting to like it even more now....... I am probably going to rate this a 7 after all.

    @Mafiacow you had the chance to experience the "moeblobs" embarrassment from haruhi by wearing the maid outfit, I could have sworn you'd jump at any opportunity to live out parts of that series. I agree with your friends, go for max embarrassment next time.

    And yes Non Non Biyori is indeed a "cute girls doing cute things" anime, that is why I said I shouldn't be liking this show. Yet somehow I am....

    Watched eps 9 and 10 of Non Non Biyori, why is this show entertaining me? Easy 7 rating for the show I avoided while airing, damn I thought I made the right choice by skipping it back then.

    and yeah i rated it a 7 becuase even though its boring, its still offered originality and a "bit" of plot. its like this series has so much promise. from how i see things, which it really is, its still the prologue. so i cant give it a full 8-10 rating if the story didnt end can i. so its a boring 7.
