I didn't really see that. I liked how she went all crazy. It made her go from being an I-don't-give-a-s**t-one-way-or-the-other character, to being a good character, in my books.

Yeah, no. My self-proclaimed masochism mainly engages when something is made to annoy on purpose, like the Endless Eight. This... this is just bad... It's like they think it's cute and funny, but it's just soooooooo bad. I just kept watching, that it ended up numbing my brain to it a lot... and then my sadism was able to engage better at everything that hurt the characters.
Then, I guess I can "necessarily" lower my end rating when I finish...
Yep, you were right I think on the end of filler eps.
But, at least with Bleach, I could watch through a s**t tonne of that filler without wanting to hurt myself to ease the pain.
Oh! Just remembered! I wasn't sure if my lack of tears for the last part down below was just due to numbness, so I experimented afterwards. I started thinking about one of the two things that always get me teary (not going to say either, but both are pretty obvious to those who know me), and it worked, I was able to induce tears. So, test complete; the numbness wasn't the reason I didn't tear up.

When I first read your post, I think I could see what it was to, but now can't, and I've scoured those pages...

Clannad After Story. Ep 5. If the rest of the anime is at the level of this s**t, the max I'll give it is a 1.5.
Clannad After Story. Ep 6. Maybe it is a comedy after all... though, I don't think the parts I'm laughing at are designed to be laughed at... That cat gave me the sh***s.
Clannad After Story. Ep 7. The coarse language feels really out of place too... doesn't feel at all natural...
Clannad After Story. Ep 8. So that's it, is it? No more filler intro? You said that, right Natsuru, eight episodes? Okay, yeah, give me the Endless Eight over this any day. At least the Endless Eight doesn't make me try to tear my hair out.
Clannad After Story. Ep 9. Did they... just misplay... the easiest card they could have used on me?... I... I didn't even get a shred of the feeling I usually get for graduation scenes... Nothing...

Clannad After Story. Ep 12. Oh, so that's it, the "drug use"?... I overestimated it. The meaning for the episode's title amused me, especially their reactions. XD
Clannad After Story. Ep 13. Scrublord's gonna scrub. Wow, what a f***in' lightweight... Second turn around, and they f***ed it up even more than the first time... Like, seriously; when Angel Beats! did it, it was adorable and tearpulling, but this... this was just sh**e, and tarnishing the reputation of these scenes.
Clannad After Story. Ep 14. Her vowe reminded me, I need to repost this~ Oh Haruhi, I have just thought of a completely sick joke, like, even on my standards~ :3

Clannad After Story. Ep 15. Kept laughing at all the talk of "problems". Gave me the actual sh**s how he pronounced it "Yooshio"...
Clannad After Story. Ep 16. Oh, have I mentioned how much I hate that bloody "Dango Daikazoku" song?... It pisses me off how they're describing the parallel worlds... Was... that scene supposed to at least make me tear up?... (I... found it difficult to keep myself from laughing...)

Dubbed. It's what I went with for normal Clannad. I listened to a little of the sub when I went back to take a screencap for reasons, and it actually sounded a little painful... Oh, on the bright side, Ryou is actually saving Brittney Karbowski for me.

Majimoji Rurumo: This show looks like it's going to be funny and cute! The first two episodes were pretty hilarious. For once there's a kuudere as the main female lead and then (naturally) a perverted male lead that shows signs of basic humanity. In a world where magic exists and can do probably anything (for a price) I wonder what's going to happen next!

Spoiler: One of my favorite characters so far

Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?: This show has the typical harem of 1 dude, and multiple girls of different backgrounds. The plot twist, they aren't fighting over the dude (yet) they are fighting for his apartment! From a staging point for world domination or enslavement of humanity down to just wanting a place to call home. The problem that I have with this show so far is the Magical Girl. That's right, there's a magical girl who is known as the "cosplayer" when she obviously uses real magic. Did I mention she's also missing a brain? Worst part of the anime so far is this character. It's not that I don't like her, I just don't like it when anime producers decide that they should take away common sense and all other signs of intelligence in a character.

Hanayamata: Since I've only seen the first out of 3 episodes for this show, I won't have much to say. I really like the art style of this show (especially the faces of characters) and I feel like it's going to go in an upbeat and happy direction. I only expect the plot to go so far, but the show should have some comedy and visual effects that are pretty cool.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun: Naturally, the new episode was hilarious. The show maintains it's status as more characters are introduced that we can come to love. Having a female play the role of the prince is pretty much old news, but they ran with it well. Have to say this episode had more blood in it that I would've expected. I can't wait until they get to the romantic development.

Spoiler: Yuri Plz?

Jinsei: Ep 2. First question. How in the hell did the MC not get slapped? I think this episode showed us that it's a great idea for guys to sit under fortune telling tables. That aside, the show is progressing well. The characters are developing (especially the love birds) and the story hasn't felt dull quite yet. Since this show hasn't done the typical harem tropes I'm expecting good things in the future.

Spoiler: Best Scene in ep 2 (besides the biker shorts)

Rail Wars!: This show threw some curves at me in ep2 and ep3. I didn't expect the show to get so "serious". I say that with quotation marks because the show is obviously not dark, but the show doesn't shy away from real world threats that come into train stations. Granted there is a positive and controlled feel to them. The last 2 episodes (2 & 3) did a good job of showing drama and suspense without going over the top. Ok. Maybe having superhuman ears is a bit of a stretch, but still feasible. The mix of comedy and real world situations (maybe overly dramatized) was entertaining. I look forward to the next episode! (not because it's a swimsuit episode...ok maybe that's why..) Also the character development over the last two episodes might lead us in to something. Aoi Sakurai might be interested in a certain someone! Finally, the show is going in a good direction and never fails to show the audience all the right curves.

Ao Haru Ride: I was skeptical of this show after watching the first episode. The drama of a missed chance in middle school and the solidification of "We aren't who we once were." put me on edge for this show.

Yoshioka, Futaba is an easily likable main character who just wants to fit in and experience love. What more could anyone ask for? The problem comes in when she tries to appeal to "friends" by bashing on boys. While her potential boyfriend is within earshot! This pushes us up to current time where Futaba and Mabuchi, Kou are now enrolled in High School. Once Futaba finds out that one of her fellow students is actually Kou she gets shot down by his cold interactions. The once kind and shy Kou has changed since Middle School! Saying that he was once in love with her, but they are no longer the same as they once were!

Fortunately, the previous episodes alleviate any kinds of stress caused by Kou's cold statement. These episodes hint that Kou still has feelings for Futaba but is hiding something darker in his heart. Futaba, still in love with him, becomes aware of this. I really enjoyed the little moments that Futaba and Kou had together in these last couple of episodes. It was also nice to see Futaba realize where she stood with her "friends" and approach Makita, Yuuri. (Who was experiencing the same trouble as Futaba when she was in Middle School)

Tokyo ESP: The first episode really gets you into the show. Right off the bat there's action going on, people dying, and buildings floating in the sky. A war between Espers and Humans. Kind of made me think of the X-Men movie except this is much better. The art is great and the characters look like they are going to be interesting. The jump from the action packed ep 1 and the introductory ep 2 kind of threw me off for a bit, but you have to start somewhere. Speaking of which, I don't know if anyone has seen or read Ga-Rei: Zero, but you definitely feel it all over this show. The agents even have matching outfits! Kawaii ne? So far the show is holding up the standard of hack and slash with blood and a good art style. If all goes well we will get into some good character development and a good backstory about the glowing fish. Keeping on my toes for some references to Ga-Rei while expecting good things from this show!

Zankyou no Terror: High School kids that were part of some experiment and became terrorists...sounds good right? Well it is. When you put 2 super smart kids together what are they going to do? Make a bomb, blow up some sh*t. (That is, if they are boys) Well Hisami, Touji and Kokonoe, Arata don't fail to meet those standards. Seemingly innocent, High School Students turn out to be expert thieves and explosive technicians. (Who knows what else?) The two terrorists aren't your average martyr or religious crusader. Who knows what these two kids are after? The first two episodes shed little light on the backstory of our two protagonists, but set us up for some mind blowing development. (pun intended) The most important things that happened in the first two episodes had to be outsmarting some cops and recruiting Mishima, Lisa to join the party. Lisa, a completely innocent High School girl, gets caught up in this mess when she unexpectedly runs into Touji while he's setting up some bombs. Lisa, a victim of High School bullying, is left with two choices: 1 - Die, 2 - Become an accomplice. Not wanting to end her miserable life just quite yet, Lisa decides to become an accomplice. What will develop from this relationship? More youtube videos probably! With a smile like Summer and eyes like ice Touji and Arata are going to take Lisa and us on an explosive ride through the show Zankyou no Terror.

Hmm, at least the ungrateful s**t thanked him (he might be the only other character I like a little too...).
Clannad After Story. Ep 20. Oh jeez, not only is that Dango song bad to begin with, but I appear to have associated the proper song with stress; like, I gagged a little. Haha, I like where that bit at the end is going.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Ep 1. Oh good, playing a DVD on a large and far-away TV is sufficient to almost stop the drop in usual quality due to being old on DVD. Haha, I like how cutesy it is~ I wouldn't even mind if it stayed this way instead of going to what I'm know it's going to~ :3

The "apology for lying" was in regards to the very paragraph it was placed in.
I didn't even tear up once in this anime. Like, seriously, why does everyone say "everyone cries"?... And don't say it's because I had the you-know-what spoiled for me, because that didn't affect Natsuru's watching of it. At least the first arc or something of normal Clannad did something.

Anyaway, onto my thoughts of the overall anime. I gotta say, normal Clannad would definitely be the superior one. After Story was just boring and a pain to get through. The only two characters I sorta liked got next-to-no screentime, the rest of the characters annoyed me more than they did in normal Clannad (like seriously, MC is such an ungrateful s**t). The plot consisted of 8 episodes of filler-like stuff at the start, followed by a story I didn't really enjoy. The "comedy" (I'm so glad neither sites tag it for that) was just annoying, despite the feel that I got that it was intended to be "funny and cute". At least the romance I hated from normal Clannad wasn't done the same way here. The voice acting was pretty shite, even though I've heard worse; I guess I can blame that on my sticking with the dub. I now noticed the animation of this franchise to be pretty bad (Thanks, SK, for pointing it out). Oh, and "The feels!~ Everyone cries! No exceptions!"... I AM the exception... so, yeah... I give it 1.5/5 (where as I gave normal Clannad 2.5/5. ;P
One last thing; Clannad worst KyoAni.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go watch something that's actually tear-inducing. Tomorrow though, 'cause my brother just got home.
