I rated it a 7.0 to those who don't know, this anime is linked too S;G & C;H, which I rated a 10 and a 9.0 respectively. So I was expecting bigger from this anime. The music is alright, the story is alright too but very generic and though it has a little of what S;G & C;H had being the mystery/psychological aspect, it TOO was under whelming watered down. The story is this, build a giant robot, friendship, and, stop an insane villain who, you prob won't ever see coming and I stress that, that villain was a psycho for what they did. it has it's highlights, but falls very much so short of the glory that it's predecessos have. The chars, well, rather bland too and not very interesting, unlike the chars in the predecessors these fall short too but hey, they grow on you after a while. The anime has it's touching moments (Both sad and happy ones) and it does have a few interesting chars who aren't bland (Such as the shut in whose into boy love and is a pervert and has mad technical skills) but over all, while the anime DID pick up momentum after most of the eps were out of the way, it just dragged on for too long. This could have EASILY been mad into a 10 ep anime or at least a 12-13 ep anime and would have been better because it wouldn't have been dragged out for so long. Am I glad I watched this anime? Yes, but I dare say the anime is disappointing compared to the ther two, on it's own it's alright though. Lastly, unless u've watched the whole anime, DON'T click this spoiler.

So the villain was portrayed as a nice guy, but, turns out he wasn't, yet he was so says Irey or however u spell her name. Anyway, that's one point I have a major complaint with. If the original of him was nice then why on earth did he take that Enemine experiment so far? Why'd Akky's sis have to kill him if he was going to stop and spare the people? While I don't doubt he may have had a "little" compassion for Irey, (Only because of a line the double said), I still don't believe he was ever really a good guy and his double further proved that. Also, people like that who ruin people's lives when we may only get 1 life to live, just pisses me off. Even if we had more than 1 life to live, doing shit like that to someone for that long is wrong, wrong to begin with but more so for that amount of time.

Anyway, @Keiichi-Morisato You're in the dog house mister. R;N was no where near as great as the other two and was a very generic/somewhat bland story. But, I'll let you out of the dog house in 1 hr since I'm still glad I watched it.

I'd forgotten that, if there wasn't a scene/explanation of it which I think I vaguely recall, then, yeah, bad error on the creator's part, or rather the writer's part. Still I do recall him saying he'd make her an immortal object, do you recall that? Really it's hard for me to say, if I had my sis' mem here, then I'd prob be able to better remember that scene. Also, it is possible it meant the bad guy, I dunno.

@Doomguy Not really as, I don't see how the manga has anything to do with what we were talking about. I mean, if it's based on the manga, then unless you're telling me the manga did something different from the anime then, yeah, don't really get what that has to do with anything?

Shiki is one of the few Vampire anime I haven't seen. Will look into it later on maybe.

Yes it has shinji, yes he's still a complete pansy/wuss at that point but, the 2nd half changes things completely and I NEED to get around to watching the 3rd movie sooner or later.

 

Finished rewatching Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Still a great show

Started watching Gatchaman Crowds. Very similar to Tiger and Bunny, but very weak start. Might drop it if it doesn't get interesting

 

I agree, it IS a great show.

That one just got a dub release or is still being released dub wise, I saw an interesting char in it so, I am considering watching it, hope it gets interesting. As for T & B, never seen it, but did see it somewhat in SJ.

 

Still liked this opening better for S2 of FT

I put it on hold because I'm not watching it right now and other anime have my attention, it's the same with K-on!! though both it and WHR are very different and I quit watching for different reasons. In the case of WHR and to answer your question, it's dark, slow, one of the chars who looks like a badly designed Dr. Phil bothers me design wise nd personality wise and well, this anime isn't my cup of tea. It's ok, but in very small douses. Looks like I wasn't missing out on much back when it aired on adult swim.

 

Just watched the first two episodes of Barakamon.
Expecting good things from this show pretty funny with a cute lil girl.

I just found the show to be more hype than what it was worth. TL;DR version: I don't like how any of the romance played out or how the story went. It was just "Fine" in my book. Which equals 6/10 on MAL haha.

So I had a bunch of friends over last night. I was planning on getting them all to watch Bakemonogatari; four of them are seasoned anime fans, yet haven't seen it... but those four had to cancel. We watched some Adventure Time, played Pokémon Monopoly, and then watched the first four episodes of Haruhi 'cause my friends aren't as into anime as I, so they can't really do subs at such a late time, and Haruhi was the only thing that I both prefer dub and could watch at any time. One of them was almost asleep, so he couldn't enjoy it much I don't think, but the other two DID enjoy it, both saying that they want to watch the rest. And, these are the guys I've been trying to convince to watch Haruhi specifically because I wanted them to see where I got "That's classified" from; the reaction wasn't what I expected, but was still sooooo worth~

Clannad After Story. Ep 1. If I haven't already stated it (which I doubt I haven't), I have not been looking forward to this... Oh wow, only Clannad could make bad the "smooth tumbling" that I'm usually a sucker for in songs... Ugh, that f***ing romance I hate, almost forgot it was in this anime... Okay, so much of this anime is actually painful. Like, seriously, my brain wants to cry right now (not talking about me crying, don't get your hopes up). The voice acting isn't very good, but I've heard worse. On the bright side, whatsherface might actually be saving Brittney Karbowski. Owch... just looked at AP to check characters, and saw a thing that said "starts with a large chunk of filler"... bleh.

Okay, so today had me finishing a couple.
Monogatari SS. As usual with Monogatari, I loved it. More cat screentime, more Shinobu screentime, I now like Nadeko as opposed to her beforehand being a Nothing Character, and the same with Kaiki. Senjougahara still worst girl. But... I struggle to contemplate that that's it... like, not even my standard contemplation struggles... The impression I got from others was that there was more content covered, but I didn't see it... Maybe they read the manga or something... I don't know. Anyaway, yeah, best Monogatari yet. SK, I can see what you meant with your opinion on the ending, but I still liked it. I'll respond to you and your shit taste in a bit.

Sword Art Online. It was an alright anime; nothing special though. As someone who was once really into MMOs, the world of SAO made little sense to me; there weren't really any rules in common with SAO that'd I'd ever seen in any other MMO. IMO, I highly doubt real people would be very interested in such a game, if the VR aspect and the trapped aspect were taken away. Oh, and Natsuru, sometimes your guesses of what my opinion would be of something are completely off, and other times they're right on the money. This, is one of the latter times. I enjoyed the second half of SAO more than the first half. The first half just felt like they were trying much too hard on everything, where as the second half just felt better, and it had kittehs!~ (Though, they should have given them much more screentime!) Oh, one more thing; Log Horizon is MUCH better than SAO. Natsuru, you told me I "needed to watch SAO" I think? Well, you NEED to watch Log Horizon. So, yeah... I can't see all the hype, but I did enjoy it. *just comes back to reading this* And I forgot another thing; this came in my email this morning; Now you guys gotta agree, that being half asleep and seeing this, she looks sorta like Hanekawa.

I watched the dub already a while back so continuing it in sub form since the rest is not dubbed. This is one of the many anime I'd put on hold as well as one of the many ones I've been planning on watching someday that's big on my radar and I'm REALLY enjoying it. Btw, if u hate it so much, and claim to be a masochist then I guess u must really like it then? As to the filler, call it filler but it's a necessary filler. Just, take it all in and remember it for when shit goes down later on. I think the filler stops around ep 8 but not sure and even then, it's not really filler tbh. Now BLEACH and NARUTO is LOADED with lots & lots of filler! Dats REAL filler!

I watched it while airing too mate
Once I was done watching I struggled between 6-7 and decided a 6. After that I just moved on along. The show itself did get to where you could get hyped up because of the suspense and stuff, but it just fell through for me. If I remember correctly there was also some hype before it aired because it had a connection to Angel Beats? (Producers or something maybe). Anyways, I found it disappointing so I might go back and rewatch it eventually.

Caught up on Barakamon! < Hilarious show. Moar please.
