What Anime Are You Currently Watching / Recently Finished?

If you read the manga and liked it, or even if you didn't, you should probably check it out. In case you haven't read the manga, it starts out as your regular shounen anime and then subtly changes with every arc to include better story line and character development. The animation is around a 7/10, as I've mentioned, and I personally quite like the character designs. I'd give it an overall 7.5/10. It's a pretty good anime.

 

I haven't read the manga, but I've seen the 1999 version.

Okay, here's what I've watched since last. First two before leaving for home, last SZS and a chunk of SAO on the plane, and more SAO and the rest while home. Also did some gaming today, but not much, just a little.

Vampire Knight (All of it) The ending was ok (By ending I am refering to the last part where the girl Yuki makes a choice involving Zero & Kaname) but, just really disappointed with the path that was taken. What happened to the girl (Yuki I think it was) I was happy about tbh but, seeing how this all happened to her, it just seemed like the stuff that happened to her in her past was all for nothing. :/ I kind of want a redo on that ending and for it to continue, it was an alright anime but felt like there should have been more and as if it could have been bigger/more badass.

Dream Eater Merry (Yeah I know I didn't list this one, but I started watching it after I finished the above one) Thi one was alright and pretty good, the ending was also good too but felt a bit rushed. Tis a shame there's not more to this since so much was left not done.

We Without Wings / I watched ep 2, while it was a bit better and more bearable than ep 1 and while I'm sure I could watch a 3rd ep, this anime is just a waste of my time. It's filled with mostly talking from the chars and what little talking isn't going on, well, let's just say some BAD fan service at the expenses of girls. By that I mean, guys would prob love the fan service which is pointless, not funny one bit (Example, some dumb kid decided to be mean and be a perv to a waitress and pulled her skirt down, then proceeded to her panties if I recall right.. =_= ) and all they do is FLASH it in your face. The only other thing it has going for it is some mysterious other world involving one char, maybe later on things change big time due to that world or maybe not. All I know is, unless someone whose watched ALL OF this anime, tells me honestly that, it changes from the 1st two eps and gets a shit ton better then, this is dropped, DROPPED D.R.O.P.P.E.D. I SAY!!! Oh and all this because of a certain ecchi pic I say which I figured was going to involve some crazy/funny plot/part of the anime and it'd be epic, boy was I wrong!

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal ep. 1 / Please, only 2 new eps a month is too long, every 1st & 3rd Sat of each month for the next year, I don't mind much and I'll eagerly await the next ep after next ep but at LEAST give us ep 2 already!! ;_; Ep 1 was awesome, I nearly cried a few times tis that good. (Probs the nostalgia, not sure)
Kill La Kill (Dub) Someone was able to get up the 1st 4 eps on a streaming site TWO DAYS (Or was that 7? hem..) BEFORE the DvD was supposed to be released. Now that I've finished those 4 eps, I can say, while eps 1 & 2 were slow and rather boring a good bit, ep 3 was epic and ep 4 while crazy, (and something else I'm forgetting) was still good and I'm SOO wanting more of this and NOW! Oh PLEASE hurry and get the rest of the eps up. ;_;

I am planning on watching R;N too, but we'll see how it all goes.

EDIT: Now also watching Robotics; Notes.

Because you posted the above which I'd forgotten it was airing on that day, while I missed the world premier, I was able to watch it that same day plus I ate some Taco Bell while watching it which made it better for me and none would have happened if not for you posting the above to help remind me. You also made my sis happy too since I told her about it and she watched it too. (Like me she nearly cried from how good it was and all the nostalgia) So again, Arigato Maddy. ^-^

@Natsuru-san I'd give Mayo Chiki 7/10. Enjoyable show, but nothing more. And I'm a dub-only guy

 

I see, shame you'll never watch Kämpfer or some of the other awesome sub only anime out there. For a while, it was looking like Mayo Chiki was going to be a sub only anime. I should note, from what I saw of ep 1, it sounded like they matched the lines in the sub to a T, however, the Sadist girl with black clothing and pig tails, her voice isn't best suited to her as the sub was better, the others were, good enough to their sub voices. I gave it either a 9/10 or a 10/10, been too long cant remember anymore but the only reason I rated it so high is because I wasn't able to predict what was going to happen next. That in turn made the anime SOOO MUCH more fun, exciting, funny, enjoyable and so on. Had I of been able to predict it, well, it'd prob have been around your rating I'd wager. Btw, Kill La Kill now has a dub and is out.

 

So I might drop Persona 4 the animation. Seems a little childish at the moment (5 episodes in so far); minus the murder. Also just watched the first episode of Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion.

1. Free! (So many people raved about it when it first came out..so I thought i'd see what the fuss is about) It's okay so far...maybe it'll get better later? I'm only on Episode 5.
   
   
2. Haikyuu! I'm not really into sport anime, despite this list atm lol, but so far so good. I really like the characters in this one. I'm on Episode 4.
   
   
3. GLASSLIP well, I really enjoyed the first episode..and found out there was no first episode. x.x It's brand spanking new so its still airing. (I'll wait until all the eps come out) Episode 1
   
   
4. The Comic Artist and his Assistants. I kinda don't like it..and I kinda don't mind watching it. The main character, forgot his name, annoys me a bit but.. I still watch it from time to time. (Episode 4)

@Doomguy I'm sad you didn't like it, but hey, different strokes. I'm not that "it was too deep for you" or "you watched it wrong" guy. I just was able to relate more to the characters and enjoyed a lot of the themes.

The end u say? We are talking about the movie End of Evangelion right? U liked how that ending went? I'll give the anime movie this much, it shows chars in some sitch's I never would have expected and liked kind of and it also takes you on a ride into what the creator must have been going through at that point in his life, but that ending, no, just, NO! at the end, everything returned to normal, everyone came back then yeah, FAR better anime but, with the world basically destroyed, those two being the only humans left, hell the only LIFE left on that planet, and the last thing she said to him was, disgusting, no no no no and a thousand times NO! I could tell, she wasn't being a Tsun there, she honestly hated him and was disgusted by him where as in the anime u could tell she liked him, till she got so depressed and the rest of what happened to her in the anime. That ending was just, messed up imo.

My thoughts reading this: Wait a sec... that sounds familiar... *reads in Kyon's voice* *starts babbling and giggling* XD
I finished the first season. It was alright. Though, I found that the majority of the gags that I enjoyed, they tended to not do much of, where as the gags I didn't enjoy, they dragged them on to death... As for characters, the OCD girl amused me (as OCD characters always do). The girl "who saw everything in a positive light" was a little annoying, same for the exchange student. The dark-skinned girl pissed me off. And Kiri (the character) wasn't really what I expected at all. I recognised a bunch of the references, but countless many more flew over my head. And even though it was a comedy, I didn't feel that they were really making fun of any of the mental disorders, which is a good thing IMO. Overall, I enjoyed it, but it was a bit of a struggle to get through. I think I'll give it a 3.

It said "Changed to immortal object", so I'm assuming that meant that Mr Game Guy made it so that Asuna wouldn't die. Then she charges in and dies. So, did they mean to say "Changed to mortal object", meaning Game Guy? That would make sense if so... but damn, dose errors...
