Viz Media announced at its Otakon panel on Friday that it will rerelease the Ranma ½ original video animation (OVA) and all the Ranma ½ films on one Blu-ray Disc set in 2017.

The Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China (Ranma ½: Chuugoku Nekonron Daikessen! Okite Yaburi no Gekitou Hen!!) and Ranma ½: Nihao My Concubine (Ranma ½: Kessen Tougenkyou! Hanayomewo Torimodose!) films are sequels to the Ranma ½ television anime.Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China originally played in Japan as a double-feature with Urusei Yatsura: Always My Darling. The films debuted in 1991 and 1992, respectively, and Viz Media released both films on VHS and DVD in the late 1990's.

The series consists of three OVA sets: the six-episode Ranma 1/2 OVA, the two-episode Ranma 1/2 Special OVA, and the three-episode Ranma 1/2 Super OVA. Viz also released the half-hour Ranma ½: One Flew Over the Kuno's Nest (Ranma Nibun no Ichi: Chō Musabetsu Kessen! Ranma Team vs. Densetsu no Houō) film with the OVA.

Viz Media released the original television anime in remastered Blu-ray Disc sets March 2014 and May 2016.
