Video Game Soundtracks

Language I need a 360 or PS3 to be able to play it. ={

 

Alright went and got it. Last one around the whole area, lucky break. Also picked up Borderlands 2 because...why not?

 

This little gem is from the Demo for Final Fantasy 7 which came with the game Tobal. Wish I knew about it when it came out!!

This remix sort of sounds like a mixture between Final Fantasy 7 and Grandia music imo xD

 

Not sure what to make of it. On the topic of older games I stumbled on these gems cough: yeah right more like looked for it)





I just can't figure out which opening theme I love more. So I played them at the same time

 

Yes, they are very good games! Spor and I posted about them before.

 

Oh yeah I keep forgeting about that. So much greatness...
Okay here's an alternative. Falcom comes out with some great games that no one ever hears of. The music is great too.

 

Now that was awesome!! Sadly those games are very rare over here!! It's quite expensive to buy any of the Y's series. I could get the 1 and 2 on the DS with their soundtracks as well on Amazon!!

 

Also, I've been playing F-Zero Z recently. My god, the soundtrack is amazing!!!

 

@VeritasOdiumParit Did you know that they made a hard rock/metal version of the F-Zero X soundtrack? It's just as awesome as F-Zero X.
Anyway as some of you might know I have a weakness for Sentai and Power Rangers (I like both of them so shut up) so naturally I picked up Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 when they came out and became an obsessed fanboy over them. Then I heard about The Wonderful 101 which will be the first game I pick up on the Wii U (once I manage to get the money for one anyway). Been watching a Let's Play of the game and it has a pretty cool soundtrack.

 

Nice!! The Children Playing the Field at the beginning reminded me of .hack//SIGN soundtrack!! Also really like the Carried on Rippling Waves piece as well!! Very soothing!

 

Not enough love of this ps1 classic. Valkyrie Profile has a great mix of awesome dungeon music (I don't think I ever said that before) and some soul crushing melancholic moments.

Soothing theme, game likes this one as well as several others for the sadder moments of the game for which there's plenty

@Doomguy Those pieces are really good!! I like them!! The soundtrack reminds me of Star Ocean the Second Story!! Wish I had known about this game when it came out on the PS1!! >_< Also wish I had bought it when games for the PSP were cheap. (Games for the PSP now seem to be expensive and difficult to get hold of these days).

Also, I really like this cover of a piece from Mega Man 2!! So epic. Mega Man games have some of the best soundtracks. Too bad I only have X on the GBA to play. (It's sooo hard)!!

 

Say what you want about the game, but I really liked Nier's soundtrack. Some really beautiful stuff in there.

 

There are two games I almost picked up but never did.
Nier was one and Shadow of Colossus was the other. I kick myself for not doing so but I could only play so many games at once.

Also @Doomguy you should have bought Shadow of the Colossus!! I really want to play it!! >__< It looks like such an awesome game!!

 

You two need to play Shadow of the Colossus! It's easily one of the best games of the PS2 generation, and a favourite of mine.
Nier is a harder sell, because the gameplay gets rather tedious, but if I were to explain the amazing twist that game has at the ending, you would know why you should play that game.

 

I wish I could play many playstation 2 games but I'm afraid that window is almost closed (finding the copies of those games is nearly impossible). There is always the ps2 emulator scene but my computer is a potato.

As someone who always played Xenogears and loved it, playing the obscure cult classics is a hobby of mine . Speaking of which...



The world theme! Also this has an end theme version with lyrics but that would probably lead to spoilers in the youtube comments so you'll have to play it yourself.
It's the same guy who did the Chrono Trigger music. So awesome, must resist urge to replay the game.

 

You can get a HD Collection that includes Shadow of the Colossus and ICO (another good game). I wouldn't try and go back to the PS2 version anyway, the framerate is not so great.
