I still can't bring myself to finish Persona 3 FES. It gets rather tedious constantly climbing that tower. How many hours of gameplay is it until a proper story develops in the game? I think I've been playing like 8 hours?

Also Doom, I never got Skies of Arcadia because of all the bad reviews it got. Is the game any good?

Whoops pretty late reply to @veritasodiumparit

Persona 3 is mostly about the battle system and the mixing and matching of your personas and character relations. Ranking up character relations will give boosts to your personas. The story does turn pretty dark towards the second half and the game finally stops holding your hand and lets you off to do more with characters and stuff. I liked the game, it was different and had an interesting concept. Wouldn't mind giving the forth one a shot one day. It's very grindy though and if you don't like that then your sadly going to be turned off. Game is pretty unapologetic about that.

If you ever played the Grandia or Lunar series then Skies of Arcadia is like those. I always thought the game had high reviews actually. Anyway I thought the game was alright.

PROS - Awesome soundtrack. Trust me this helps a ton because frustrating parts are less frustrating.
    - Fun Characters. You control the upbeat, never give up, sky pirate Vyse. His party consists of his spunky sidekick Aika, the typical mysterious stranger Fina, and others I won't bother to spoil (but really if you played any RPG you know the drill). The villains were pretty funny but no really much about them only their unique personalities. Except the Main bad, he's just boring.
    - Lots of side quests if your into that sort of thing
    -AIRSHIP BATTLES! Nuff said

CONS - Random battles. I hate random battles.
    - Long battles. I hate long random battles more.
    - Special move spam. Only way to get by is to spam your special moves. This takes time to unleash and since battles are already long it gets tiring in the long run seeing the same move over and over. (at least you can skip the cut scene)

My main complaint with this game is the battle system. All you ever need is to use your special moves to win. Only the boss battles pose a serious challenge since now you need to worry about healing and managing your special move points (It builds up and depletes doing stuff). Battles are better here but take forever to resolve. . Also some enemies have "death" spells. One hit KO because the RNG god hates you. There's also one boss that one time heals his entire health just to spite you. Damn you! Damn you to hell! That took almost a blasted hour of my life!

    On the flip side?

    AIRSHIP BATTLES!
No really the whole game should just take to the skies and ditch the ground combat altogether. Blowing up other ships, giant flying monsters, and floating fortresses with your ship's regular cannons, elemental cannons, torpedoes, and of course the MOONSTONE CANNON never gets old. You sunk my flamethrower equipped battleship bro.

God damnit now I want to play Skies of Arcadia again. Too bad I got rid of my copy.

Anyway here's a good one. If you listen to the lyrics it plays like a villain song for the villain of Metal Gear Rising. Also e few songs from the game were nominated for a gramy so that's got to mean something, right?

Ace Combat 5, Zero, 6, AH are my favorites in fact the only thing good about Assault Horizon was the music.

Very interesting Mig! Sounds like they use synthesizers to arrange the music. .

Fire Emblem Awakening and Electronic Super Joy might be my favorite VG OSTs. The ESJ composer even said I could use his music in my videos!

The Jet Set Radio Games have my favourite game soundtrack. Jet Set Radio Future being my favourite out of the two. Hideki Naganuma is a boss putting out tracks like Concept of Love, Oldies but Happies, Funky Dealer and Humming the Bassline. In fact all of the tracks in that game are great except Birthday Cake...but we don't talk about that here...
The Halo franchise has always had an epic OST too. Martin O'Donnel is a genius who ended up creating what has to be one of the most iconic pieces of music in gaming history...
Going off the more popular and obvious games, I really liked Rock'N'Roll Racing's Soundtrack too. I can play any of the songs from the soundtrack or even just look at the cover art for the game and all of the memories of this game come flooding back. I remember losing the code for my save which was in the final area and I was so disappointed that I never got to finish it on the save...I never did get that far again...
THE STAGE IS SET AND THE GREEN FLAG DROPS!!!

I also have a spot in my heart for the Original Donkey Kong Country and its soundtrack. Aquatic Ambience and Fear Factory remain in my head as clearly now as they did back when I first played those levels. Gang-plank Galleon always manages to put a smile on my face too(When I can remember what it's called...)

With my recent play through of Dark Souls I've found out it has quite a good soundtrack itself. Especially the Moonlight Butterfly and Sif themes. Funnily enough those are also my two favourite fights in the game.

I love the Dark Souls soundtrack. I also remember liking the Jet Set Radio soundtrack as well, but it's been a while since I last played one of the games.

Here's a good one. I loved Crazy Taxi as a kid and I remember this song would always get stuck in my head.

Did you end up getting the HD remake of JSR that came out last year? I got it on the XBL marketplace but I'm sure it came out on other systems too.
