lol Sounds like a lofty goal. But it's good to have an ambitious goal.

haha well its a goal I can never ascertain until laws are lifted ill just stick with normal photography in the meantime, I just thought being Logistic Support Photographer would give me plenty opportunity to not explore the inland of the UK but outer UK as well.

There are always a lot of other opportunities out there IMO. Might sound like a sentimental platitude, but I think getting into a photography career is somewhat easier than other creative jobs, like filmmaking or even painting. Lots of people need photographers today.

yea I mean I have my own site and have sold some, but its hard, you need to print in mass bulk to earn a penny. but it is true it seems we are needed, for example for some reason I'm now doing photo restoration, started off a few months back, got a random email from a guy who wanted his pics restored, I explained my services and what I could do to help and well been doing that mostly now xD.

I did find one, but it's way too big a goal for me - to be a filmmaker. I'm not exactly the most creative artist in the world.

If its something that truly interests you, IDE say go for it, until you really get into it, you may not know that you have a creative spark, just dig deep and find it, or maybe find some inspirational film makers, see how they started, how they began, maybe you need to be a bit more inspired ^^

Yeah, I know all that. I'm just anxious to really do it. Those first few steps are always the hardest, to set out and put something out there people can criticize. Unlike photography, filmmaking isn't exactly done out of necessity, but creativity. You need photographs for a lot of good reasons, but filmmaking is either done out of profit or only if you have some artistic spark to show the world. I don't think I'm mentally prepared for that kind of pressure yet. Maybe next year.

ha yea the first step is hard, and even worse when your face to face with a client and your hoping to god that , you have done a good job xD. I see what you mean, maybe just research it more and in a years time see where your at
