Theme suggestions & nominations

I imagine there will be a Halloween theme for the week commencing from the 28th October? In which case I think I will keep my avatar as Lil' slugger for a little while longer I don't really have much time to make new Avatars and Signatures these days.

 

@Hikikomori: Well I tried. lol Not many people are posting here anymore so I dunno if they saw the suggestion for the group for Halloween and Christmas or not but if you still need feed back then can you maybe PM the members and get feed back that way? If you don't need feedback then is my suggestion approved or not? Be nice to know soon so people can be ready for Halloween.

 

I approve of the Halloween suggestion Natsuru. I'm sure no one will object to it. I guess it will depend if Kiri has put anything in the diary that may clash. But, I doubt it. So thumbs up or green light from me.

 

Starting Oct, 29th is the Halloween theme. This theme, and all others for this matter, are on the groups calendar. The calendar has been up-to-date for a few weeks now with themes filling up weeks until around the end of December. If members wish to change their username for Halloween, it's up to them as I can't enforce that kind of change. I'll add the Christmas theme during the week of the 24th and 25th of December as it is appropriate given the holiday.

 

Awesome Kiri! And of course. The name change and such was only if they want too. Also, thanks for mentioning the Cal. I forget there's a Cal so this is my first time seeing it and I see you have Yuri (or Yaoi) theme start the 1st week of Dec. Hoping to keep us warm are we?

Okay, in addition to my "Fantasy/RPG" theme suggestion from a little earlier in the other thread, could I also nominate a Nyanuary theme please? =^_^=

 

@Hikikomori to get your attention, @Supernatural-Knight and I would like to suggest "sadists" as a theme if that's all right? Super's also thought of some other violent-type things, but I'll let him say them if he wants. And if he does, might be a good idea to disperse them a little with other themes between. ;3

Oh, and I just thought of bunch that might be feasible by staring at my desktop wallpaper; "crossovers", "space", "assassins", "logos/emblems" (like those belonging to clubs and teams and brigades and guilds and stuff), "games" (if we haven't already done), "silhouettes" (or things drawn in only black and one other colour), "slice of life", "dinosaurs", "mythological creatures", "shinigami", "artificial intelligence", "harem", "rainbows", "childhood" (like, anything we remember being popular from when we were kids).

And edit for insignificant yays, my post count now matches my birth year~ XD

Sadists: Coolies, I was thinking I'd use Mayuri from Bleach and/or Saeko from HOTD. ^_^
Not sure what wallpaper I was looking at to make me say dinosaurs. XD
Mythological creatures: I was looking at this Monogatari wallpaper, so like the Sawarineko, Heavy Crab, Rainy Demon, the snake thing, the bee thing, Phoenix. (Even though I was thinking of going with the good old Drop Bear~)
Shinigami: There's Soul Eater too, which is the one I thought from.
Rainbows: I was looking at this, one of my favourite wallpapers. Maybe just "Colourful" or something?

And those green ticks actually look so cool!

 

Hmmm... I remember we had an alien theme a LONG while ago, but I can't remember if it was on JDR or here...
The name of a "murderers" theme might be a bit dark, as might the visuals of a "blood" theme. But idk. Though, I have a good idea of what I'd use for a "sport" theme. >:3

And yeah, killers does sound better IMO.
But hey! Assassins was the theme I just suggested! There is a difference between a murderer/killer and an assassin!

That last bit... wut?

 

Murderers [✓] - As long as we stick with characters that have killed (Like Yuno Gasai). Any portrait of death (I.E. homicide, suicide, accidental death) will not be allowed.
Aliens [X] - We've had a general aliens theme already here on DTR
Blood [✓] - As long as it's not overboard/gore. There are people you have a Vasovagal response, fainting at the sight of blood, and I don't want to trigger that in any member (though I'm not aware of any as of yet)
Seinen [?] - I don't know what this is
Spiritual [✓]
Shounen [✓] - As long as we're referring to the genre, not boys in their early teens (13+)
Sports [✓] - On a personal level, I don't like sports, but that's no reason to reject a perfectly reasonable theme.

Regarding Blood, I was thinking I'd use a wallpaper I have of Yuno. But since you said gore isn't allowed, it's made me really want to use something from Corpse Party. Damn you making me want something I can't have. XD

And Super, you'll want to explain seinen, cause I've already forgot what it means. ;P
