I kinda figured, since she is voiced by that certain someone, still like the anime as long as there's no cast change

I wasn't even trying to be sarcastic though, I'm actually not good at sarcasm at all even if I tried, but I don't hate Mai Nakahara, in fact I've seen a lot of anime with her as either a supporting, minor or main character, less than you maybe since most of the time I watch anime regardless of the cast

Oh no, I meant she's the Queen of Sarcasm, she's literately perfect at voicing characters who are sarcastic. Also name 'em.

That's extremely lewd Natsu, watching Strawberry Panic. Did you ever watch the first ED sequence? That's also very lewd, they kiss at the end.

Both ED themes were shot entirely in Live-Action, and the first ED shows two girls kissing.

Now that's a list, about 21 of those anime I haven't seen while the rest I've seen, yeah I remember, it was her along with Ai Shimizu who also voiced one of the main characters in Strawberry Panic, and naturally Mai Nakahara had the lead role there

Okay lets get to some talking people! Anyone watch Kyoukai no Rinne? What almost makes me uncomfortable at times with this series is just how casually they treat death and basically murder. I don't mean because there are ghosts and therefore dead people everywhere but just how "yeah you tried to murder me.... oh well" they are a lot of the time. It doesn't make the show bad it's just odd the way they tend to treat the idea of death.
Also they completely avoid directly mentioning the fact Rinne's father murder's for money. See he's part of a group of corrupt shinigami who trick people into going to the after life early in order to pad their quota (which is dumb why do they even have quota when there are only a limited number of dead at any one time). But the manga treats it as if it's nothing more than dishonest buisness men taking advantage of people. But leading people to the afterlife and into the cycle of rebirth is basically saying you kill them. So the main character's father is a mass murderer because he's too lazy to work hard at doing his job properly.

What they DO focus on his how much of an asshole his father is in general. Like stealing his son's money and selling off his things.

Actually now that I'm on this topic does this author have some SERIOUS father issues? In Ranma 1/2 the MC's father was an abusive asshole (which again they treated the issue oddly innocently despite the fact the man basically abused his son for his entire life). And in Inuyasha he dies off rather early but both Inuyasha and Seshomaru had a few issues with their old man.

So did this author have some serious father issues or what? Because she writes some of the worst fathers in manga.

I am not reading manga so all the things you said did pick my interest a little bit. However, the series itself are rather boring after 3 episodes. It feels like created for kids yet the topics they have aren't really for kids o.o I mean the teacher finds out about the ghost and shit but he literally had no reaction... It's like "whatever, take the clothes and fuck off". The next day he acts like nothing happened and this Rinne guy is completely normal and has no super powers. Then you see how teacher decides it's time to destroy the abandoned houses but suddenly a big monster rat appears (which they can't even see) and they somehow magically disappear while Rinne is fighting o.o

Honestly the amount of bullshit going on there... I just can't enjoy something breaking the common sense so hard...

Again it's a bit odd just how casual they are all the time. Like they'll go "OMG LOOK AT THAT...... well it over now back to business" and they don't have much else in terms of reaction. It gives the manga a very episodic feel to it because besides recurring characters very little else seems to carry over from event to the next since everything just kind of goes back to normal after each issue is resolved. Mind you I only read maybe 20 to 40 chapters out of 200 so development may have happened since where I left off. But as far as I saw it was very episodic and everyone is strangely "oh well" about everything especially considering how much they talk about death since this is a series about guiding spirits and such. I'm not asking for over reactions about every little thing. But there are times they are just too chill.

I don't think that all makes this a bad series exactly. It just makes the series feel very odd at times.

Indeed, it doesn't make the series bad but there are just too many flaws to make it an entertaining one. I can already see how the entertainment level will differ with each episode as it did really look episodic. Judging on OP, I expect some better action and fights coming soon but the overall story I think is mediocre at best.

Honestly...... I can't argue with that. I like the author and I like her work but this feels like it's halfway between Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha and not in a good way. Like it takes some of the seriousness from Inuyasha and the general episodicness and casualness of Ranma 1/2 and mixes them somehow. I really don't think it's a bad series and I plan to eventually pick the manga back up to read when I'd bored. But I just don't find it that engaging at all.

It probably doesn't help that the leads are probably some of the dullest I've ever seen by this author. Like Akane and Kagome could be annoying at times for their own reasons but they also had some serious balls and Akane especially has the credit of being a Tsundere BEFORE the type was completely done to freaking death. This girl from what I remember is just too casual about everything. She's used to ghosts at this point since she's seen then since childhood but she has neither the violent temperment of Akane nor if she in a "I'm in a world full of demons and could die at any moment" situation so there is no "become a badass a few times during the series". Rinne is kinda flat too but at least he has the "I'm poor and desperate for money" gag to liven things up a little.

The other thing is the romance just drags out painfully. I guess this author is kind of known for it as all he other works drag out the main romance but in those cases they argued and bickered for a while. In this one they don't really argue and they seem to already like each other. The problem is I'm not sure why they already like each other and for as far as I read they never actually say it despite all the hints. And I don't mean like "They say it in their heads but won't say it out loud" kind of thing. It's more even they don't appear to completely notice it and besides staring at each other and showing some jealousy you never see it. I'm not completely sure how to put it but it's somehow very frustrating.

I really feel bad saying so much negative things about it because it's really a decent series for the most part...... it's just nothing about it comes to mind that says "YOU MUST SEE THIS" unless you happen to be a big fan of the author. But in that case you should already know about this and don't need me telling you. Besides that everything is just....okay. Overall everything is just okay. I think the problem is the authors art and writing style don't feel any different. So unless she does so past where I read she should really try changing up her style a little. But still if you ever saw Ranma or Inuyasha and would like to see something similar Rin-ne should be fun enough to watch.

I've fallen behind on Nanoha ViVid again, I'm ashamed to call myself a Nanoha fan.
