Just like that? Do what I do always: never drop an anime, keep watching until the end and then determine if worth watching again or not, regardless if the story is good or not or if the cast is good or not

It's not because they're in too much shit that I hate them, I don't like their voices. Hayami is too soft for me and I honestly think Amamiya is a shit VA

Yeah no fuck that, it means forcing myself to watch shit.

 

Saw first episode of Ore Monogatari!! and I wish that had won because it had a really good first episode.

 

Trust me, I've seen worse shit than you have, I almost forced myself to watch Cross Ange before, but then I remembered the Psychological genre is not actually a genre that I prefer, even so I wouldn't drop it if I were to watch it, I just would watch it once and never watch it ever again, not a single anime I watched has been dropped at all as of now

Yeah no, it wasn't that, it's Yuri (for like the first 5 episodes, then it panders to NanoFate), Mecha, Drama, Romance, Action and lots and lots of sex.

 

Has no one seen the latest Nanoha episode or am I still alone on that?

It's rather early for that. Everything has barely started so there really isn't enough to go on to hate anything.

 

Okay how about first-episode impressions, what was the one that left a bitter taste in your mouth?

 

Sorry Maddy, but I've yet to watch the prequels.

 

I was scared that I am the only one here watching anime of the season material lol

 

So far nothing really. A few like Denpa are showing some signs of taking a bad turn later but they also show enough promise to still have a good chance of being good.

If I had to really pick something though it would be Kekkai Sensen. The first episode honestly didn't feel all that special and also this was done by Studio Bones.

It's funny because I like several of the series they have done but I also hate them because they have a nasty habit of ending their series really vague. Like having this big awesome battle in space and leaving our main characters floating in space after the battle with no apparent way to get back (although assumably they do) or having the main characters falling from the freaking sky and not even trying to explain what the hell is going to happen next.

So yeah these guys do good animation and they get most of the basics of story telling down well but they are also a one trick poney where if they aren't told "adapt this properly and no unique ending" like with FMA:B they give us some weird ass ending that traps our main character in post WWII Germany. And again they are almost always vague.

Taking out all one the ones that were 100% faithful adaptations of the source material how many of those have vague endings? A lot that is how many. It's such a shame to because they do good work most of the time up until those endings. Now some people like some of their vague endings while others are fairly universally hated. But for me I hate all of their vague endings.

Sorry you asked for first episode thoughts and I went on a Bones rant.

Remeber quite a few people voted for it so there are probably a few people on the site watching it even though it didn't win.
