Wow 4 roles, damn she's slowly coming back.

 

Well assuming she means Gundam: G no Reconguista it certainly looks prettier than any other Gundam series I can think of and seems to be set in a more fantasy like setting rather than just "earth but with Giant robots". Also it doesn't seem like it's going to be a war story like most gundam series are.

Now whether than will end up a good or a bad thing I don't know. But I will give the series some early praise for at least trying something different.

I really don't get your standard of choosing what to watch almost completely on who is voice acting. Shouldn't whether the show is interesting or not be more important?

 

I always consider whether or not it's interesting or not.
But I'm a seiyuufag and will watching anything if it's got a good cast, like Cross Ange

 

well I'm annoyed now. Turns out Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken is just 3 minute long shorts. WHY WAS THIS NOT SAID EARLIER! I didn't see any hint of this being a short before now and this show looked interesting.

Sure I can still watch it but now it's just going to be 3 minutes instead of a full show.

I know a lot of members have seen Drrr!, so I thought I'd like to share this PV I found for Durarara!!x2.

 

I heard this will be 3 Separate Cour Project for January 2015, July 2015, January 2016. What is up with this style of cutting an anime season up and airing it in parts with at least a season between them? Anime producers are becoming such jerks.

 

So, I watched the first episode of Log Horizon's second season; I know the studio changed, but the animation just seems off from my memories of last season.

I'm having a difficult time getting over how 'unusual'(?) the animation looks/feels to me.

 

I watched the first episode of Magic Kaito and I really liked it. I always liked the episodes of Detective Conan with Kaito kid and finally he gets his own anime.

He had some old OVA specials in the past but those were just 12 episodes and were a more episodic. So this is his first proper series adaptation. If you are Detective Conan fan at all this show is definitely a must watch.

Both for the series (Including the OVA specials) and for the movie I just watched. Btw, what I didn't say in that thread is so FAR, MK1412 is not as good as the original. I also don't like how they skipped so much content, that "date" at the amusment part and the shinanigans Kaito/kid pulled were awesome, and they shouldn't have skipped it. They basically jumped from ep 1 to ep 5. (Albeit there were parts from other eps in ep 1 of this series but still) Wait, this means they skipped the introduction of the witch... O_O

 

1 episode is a bit early to claim it's not as good. From what I saw in the first episode they covered who the main character is, what is happening, and the premise for the show all pretty well. Even if they skipped a few things they could still fit them in later or do something just as good.

 

It actually has something to do with a reference which you mentioned

You see the person who voices the wife in this show is none other than Yukari Tamura (she does Rika in Higurashi and Nui in Kill la Kill) and she also none other than Nanoha Takamachi from Nanoha.
Which was probably why the Nanoha reference was there, it also doubles up as a Seiyuu joke.

Just keep in mind it's similar yet different. It's from the same author and takes place in the same universe but while Conan focuses on solving crimes this focuses more on the art of tricks and illusions and using that to commit crimes....sorta. But they have a similar feel and comedy. I slightly hesitate to recommend it too much purely because I'm already a big Detective Conan fan so there is going to be a little bias in my opinion. But objectively speaking the first episode seems to do a good job of setting things up for future episodes. A few were bitching about the animation saying it was from the 90s or something but I didn't see it. The animation looked fine to me so I think those were all either trolls or idiots who are such pixel junkies that only the highest quality animation possible will satisfy them.

As for the OVA thing though it won't be a problem. I never saw the OVA myself and it seems this series is basically starting over. Which is probably a good idea since I don't know if anyone besides die hard fans even saw those OVA. So this is like a proper start and Kaito's chance to get a real anime not just a bunch of specials.
