Strange+ is, indeed strange, but you cant stop watching it.
And thanks for the heads up, I'll be avoiding that one as i havent yet seen all the first episodes I downloaded.

 

Oh so that is a short series, I was thrown off by the 27 min run time and so I didn’t get past the 2 minute trailer/preview I saw. I may pick it up if I can just stop at the end of each segment. Damn it Maddy, giving me something else to watch due to my fondness of short anime, at least there aren’t too many eps.


It's 3 27 minute episodes.
Each segment goes for roughly 10 minutes each.
It's kind of runs in the way Plastic Nee-san (LOVE THAT SHORT) did.
It's enjoyable and fun, which should help you recover from that Hoozuki no Reitetsu disaster.
Just bear in mind there will be a trap in the 2nd episode.

GOD DAMN, Hoozuki no Reitetsu is bloody SHIT. This isn’t comedy, I haven’t even cracked a smile once while watching this shit, it fails so badly as a comedy. And no wonder people are confused as to what classifies as a good supernatural series, between the plentiful romance garbage and the failed comedies I’m finding my enjoyment for my favourite genre is drastically dropping. Between this, tokyo ravens and strike the blood the supernatural genre has taken a beating once more this season.
I haven't seen Hoozuki but tokyo ravens and strike the blood aren't that bad. They are really cliche and don't really do anything new but if you just take them as they are they are okay at least. Now anything great and more suited for people who haven't already seen a million anime like this but okay. Sadly the shows new to this season like Mahou Sensou don't seem any more impressive. I don't think the problem is the romance itself because romance can lead to not nice character and plot development. The problem is it's all harem comedy junk where instead of any sort of romantic progress it's all just stalling any kinda real development for as long as possible while they throw in various girls that you know don't stand a chance. I mean please don't insult my intelligence by adding [blank] to the plot when it's painfully obvious he likes that girl we were first introduced to in the first episode but neither he or she will openly admit it because they are both idiots.In fact that is another thing if you are going to make a harem anime why must the one the authors plans to let win always have to be the first girl? Sometimes the guy has a childhood friend or something but the one we as an audience see first is always the main girl and for some reason the childhood friend that the MC SHOULD be closer to doesn't stand a chance in hell. It's a shame because the harem genera has more potential. If they just gave all girls equal development and fair chances at the MC then it could be pretty dramatic waiting to find out who the MC will chose. Take that one anime with the gods and demons who were basically like normal humans (Can't remember the name). While I didn't like who he chose in the end at least there was no blatant favortism and at least he chose SOMEONE in the end.Sorry I went on a rant there my point was romance isn't the problem it's that it's almost always crappy romance.

 

Well Mahou Sensou was a generic LN to begin with.
The Anime only makes it even more generic.
I mean, who can defeat a sword-wielder using nothing but a bamboo sword?
It's generic, stupid, and unnecessary.

Yeah, Mai Nakahara is in episode 5 of Chuu2 Ren, and I am so happy.

 

Speaking of Chu2, I don’t like it. The first season was really good but this season just seems like they wasted everything that they spent the screen time on from season one. Rika is now back to completely suffering from 8th grader syndrome despite the promising resolution and no one really cares, nor has it been explained why she’s reverted completely back.



I think the reason she "reverted" was because she was forced to change too quickly. So when everyone allowed her to live her way she kidna shifted back. But notice that since the father thing was resolved she's not quite as wild about it. Not her fantasies seem more like a hobby than an obession. Maybe it's just me but during season 1 it seemed like she was really trying to believe her fantasies were real where as in this season she is just pretending they are real for fun. Like with those night vision goggles. At first she tries to make up a story about them but quickly admits she just find them cool. In season 1 I don't think she would have ever admitted such a simple reason.

The one I wish would grow up is that Dekomori brat. I've really gotten tired of the whole "Fake mori Summer" routine so I was happy in the one episode when it looked like they had finally moved past that..... only to go right back into it.

The whole season so far kinda feels like this though which is rather sad. Whether you liked or hated the first season at least it made progress throughout the show. But in season 2 it seems like everthing nearly goes in a circle. Yuta is worried about their relationship hitting a rode block? In the end he decides to just let things be and let her decide when she's ready. Their pointless club is about to be shut down because it's pointless? Well they make up a cheap excuse and it works and they go right back to buisness as usual.

Their relationship seems to be inching along a little but everything around it just feels like buying time because the writers don't seem to want to let anything change. It's not even about not being able to write character development because they do before they sabotage it. Dekomori and summer what's her name managed to stop fueding and grew close until Deko backstabbed her for no real reason. The sleepy girl got the spot light for one episode and now she's back to the background.

Character development isn't in a story just to kill time it's there for characters to grow and change so when you just reverse the changes by the end of the episode the take away the point of everything that happened. Over all I don't hate this season because I am finding it at least fun to watch but it's also been rather disappointing because season 1 was much better.

Maybe? I know I'm not watching it. I watched the first episode and nothing after. I didn't even give it my note three episode run. I also see you want to watch Sakura Trick and I have only one thing to day to that; Get on it already! I love Sakura Trick.

Bloody hell, the one show Mai Nakahara is in I can't watch cause I dropped it.

 

So what from this season would you guys recomend? I'm trying to see if there are any good ones I missed because while most of the shows I'm watching aren't exactly drop worthy to me several are just to meh that I'm thinking of just pushing them off to the side to watch as time killers and replace them on my list of anime to keep up with with better shows.

So yeah I'm just looking for anything that would be recommended that I missed.
