^ Maddy I hope Wake Up, Girls moves up on your ratings in the future, as I'm greatly enjoying it for whatever reason and I think it'd do me good if someone else could explain why. I find it to be a good change of pace having a completely useless person backing them, he was only a newcomer to the business with only 1.5 years worth of experience being bossed around. His flaws are realistic to those of a rookie to the industry so I like it. Although that being said I found the first half of ep 2 hard to watch, those things that they were forced to do……….

Alright Supernatural-Knight. Here’s a little update of the livestream results for today. Space Dandy started with 17 viewers, we finished with 21 viewers. 6 of those people were New Release Club members (including myself).
Nobunaga started with 16 viewers. We ended with 13 viewers. 4 of those people were New Release Club members (including myself). Now, the only reason THIS many New Release Club members were there was because I recruited 3 new ones. Great turn out based on regular TMC members, bad turn out for NRC members. Thanks to everyone who showed up and enjoyed the showings with us today. And screw you all who didn’t. I’m kidding. But really, this could be tons more fun if club members put forth some effort. Instead of ya know, just ignoring these posts.

@sporadic those aren't too bad of stats for an event in general that is, the lack of club members participating is disheartening but I was kind of expecting that in the first place. Maddy, BK, Noobs, Mafia, Kiri, myself were already out of it before it started and then there are a bunch of others that don't post in here yet shows interest when I said everyone would be kicked from the group, so you were looking at a possible 10 people from here that could have made it.
I will make the next one, unless some bullshit reason like Monday turns up again, god more than a day later and I'm still irritated I was forced to miss it for a minimalistic reason causing the wasting of my time. Was there much discussion? I checked briefly but hadn't yet watched the episodes so I didn't really want to know the content of the discussion.

well i decided to make myself updated with the posts in this thread and turned out there is this collab with TMC. well as much as i would like to join spors chat for TMC, i just cant for timezone, schedule, and internet reason.

Sounds like a good turn out for the event, I'm glad to hear that there was a decent discussion, although its relevance is questionable but it was there so thats good enough for me.

I knew that would be the case, our activities are still running the same but now have a live stream so there is an alternative to watching them alone then discussing. I know your timezone won't ever allow this, perhaps sometime we could organise a highly irregular one off showing time.
At least your reason for missing it is a lot better than mine.



Oh I agree episode 2 was hard to get through.
It felt like I was reading a H manga featuring fat ugly bald dudes having intercourse with the main characters.
I like fanservice in Anime, I just hate it when it’s forced like this.
But whether he’s spineless or not, he should have taken initiative and demanded that they stop after he saw how the girls felt.
But noo, he just had to be a big ass pansy didn’t he?
If you’re going to do an idol anime, give me a producer who knows his shit around the industry.
I don’t want to watch 12 episodes of this pansy do nothing while his boss does everything, it saps the enjoyment out of me.

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say it was like watching that but it was very hard to sit through nonetheless. I like the fact that it won't all be happiness, and will involve some struggling but the abuse in that episode was too much. I agree that he should have taken the initiative, but not demand they stop, I reckon having the girls storm out once their performance was over [if not before that]. Screw asking talking prick, just help them get the hell out of there.
I still like that there is a newcomer to this industry, his progress hopefully will mirror the girls as it goes on. When thinking about anime we've had newcomers in industries such as cafes, inns, idol groups, bands, secretary jobs, public servants, military positions, parental duties and many other jobs so to see one in this type of demanding job is a great change. I just hope that abuse level doesn't happen again, these girls don't deserve it, well yet since we don't know enough backstory.

 

There will be more drama from their stupid president and Mayu's mother, but this fat guy I'm not absolutely sure about Maddy. He is a die hard fan of Mayu's, that is clearly obsessed with her considering he missed the popular group for a possible event from her and a bunch of unknowns. I think he is a decent advertising gimmick for them amongst the otaku idol scene, you saw how energetically he was waging around those glowsticks, he's probably lucky he didn't have a heart attack.
Although I am still a bit disappointed at the opening being different than the first one [since I like that song for the group], and how short their song was played in this episode in general. It was better than just listening to them cover one of the haiyore nyaruko op's though [as seen in one of their performance].

Yeah I'd like to see that too but I think the OP isn't one that'd particularly allow it. So no Higurashi OP, actually I'm surprised that nyaruko's was in this, I need to look up its connection for why this is okay before I forget.

Hear that everyone, the live stream of all the new episodes of our activities from this week will be live streamed at the same time tomorrow  as last week courtesy of Spor on the midnight channel. This time I have no 'unavoidable' horrors to my knowledge for tomorrow so I should be able to make the entire showing, I know it is short notice but I hope to see at least a few of you this time around.
