Oh so its been confirmed to be an actual series, as far as I knew it was still unconfirmed which was making a few of the yuri lovers a little sad since they needed the full episode run time, lucky you guys, yay……………
I wish Pupa had the full 23 minutes of gore time instead, the potential enraged posts from this series are large as well and I'd really like to see the sister eat some people. It has such dark potential that at the moment I don't really care how this is going to be because the violence is surely good enough.
Everyone needs to watch Pupa, it is only 5 mins what have you got to lose after all?

 

Short manga? It has surprisingly larger amount of pages per chapter than RAINBOW does [only 15 more but still] and is still being published, maybe it seems short because so far only 14 chapters have been scanlated. It definitely has the potential and  think I just want to see some of the more bizarre shit thats bound to occur past where I've read. The siblings father is bloody nuts, I want to see what he'd do beyond chapter 9 [where I stopped reading]

 

Yeah they do, it would be even better of a scene if she wasn't rescued prematurely and yes I do mean really early that by saying so you don't even feel like you've missed anything. Although that might of been where an episode takes a break. Oh well, we'll get to see it soon enough

there are simply not enough 'U's in existence to cover how annoyed I am by this, okay I watched the first episode and here are the interesting things:
They adapted one chapter of about 33 pages in this short episode
They have already left out material from the original
The censored scene wasn't actually from the manga, it was original itself [the scene happens but not in a panel, it is more instantly occurring without visibility] the aftermath of her transformation however was less than the original.

So I am disappointed with this because by now the abusive, sadistic father was already shown and threatened his son after almost running him over. Basically I think this is going to end really fast, cover nothing with lots of left out material, and be censored for everything we do want to see. Just knowing that no intestines appeared in this episode is a really bad sign.
I am not much of a manga reader but this one I think I much prefer the manga.

 

Yeah I'm still going to watch Pupa, I do want to know how bad it is going to get and from this first episode it seem like even if I didn't read 9 chapters I'd still feel really disappointed by it [just not as much since I wouldn't know the sadistic father is missing]

Hmm I never ventured into the discussion thread on MAL, I might go see what that user base thinks of it.

 

I was just reading MAL, it is funny but I agree with the consensus there, that is the first time that has happened. Although I only made it through 4 pages, screw reading 12, but it seems maybe the manga I read of it was missing a page since they are all pretty pissed about the censoring even though I don't remember that exact scene happening in the manga. Well the only thing I don't agree with their opinion on is that the manga is terrible as well, I enjoyed what I read of it.

Although the censorship is too much, even the parts where she is going to be eating her brother will be censored, in a a panel she was biting a chunk out of him so that out to be a good amount of black screen too. I'm just really hoping that the father is introduced since the voice seems to really fit the sadistic role he's playing.

 

Well yeah but this is the one that they decided to animate, and everyone is just giving their opinion about the shitfest it quickly became. Basically as soon as it shown the woman warning Yume about the butterflies it diverged from the manga. While I'd love to see more horror manga being adapted and enjoyed by the masses, I really would prefer if they are released as OVA's so they can avoid the censoring.
Exactly, no place would air, lets hold off and give the viewers what they want. Did they think one of the channels executives would change their minds?
The dog was okay although for me the highlight I think was the bear, it is a bit creepier in the manga but it was well handled at least.

Oh and news, they are saying that the DVD release will be completely uncensored showcasing the footage that couldn't be shown on TV, who's up for a rewatch of this badly patched together anime later on once it is uncensored?
