I just read a manga based on the Concrete Girl incident that happened in Japan.
I vomited internally.

 

@Supernatural-Knight it's time to open the nominations and voting for the winter.

 

Now Nobunagun looks bad to me, I won’t be watching it. The Nobunaga anime I’m watching from this season is Nobunaga the Fool, looks better, has an interesting cast and Sugita Tomokazu plays Da Vinci, now that is something I have to see. Meta this one might be one for you to check out as it revolves around mechs.

And I will be fighting that sakura kiss, I will do whatever it takes to destroy it. On the other hand at least the animation doesn’t look too bad.

I also watched Kyousougiga, it was kind of average to me, I honestly preferred the shorter OVA, especially since a bunch of material was reused twice from the very original. However I did like the addition of the human kid’s backstory, really it wasn’t too bad but I dislike recaps so that lowered my opinion greatly for  the first  6 episodes at least.


With Nobunagun it's probably going to be either a good bit of fun or a major flop. Because looking at the preview it's very action oriented and the characters seem pretty crazy in a fun sorta way. Now how exactly they handle this will be the key. Because while crazy and wild anime can be a lot of fun (Like Kill La Kill) they need to make enough sense to hold your attention. If they screw with Logic to much it might just turn into one big confusing mess. So the insanity looks fun but it could work against it if done badly. The implied Yuri though is kinda a bad sign though in this case. I might be wrong but if they are trying to pile on Yuri on top of everything else that this show seems to be doing they might be trying to tackle too many genera and fetishes at once. And you know how they say if you try to please everyone you end up pleasing no one?

 

@Supernatural-knight anime already starting from January first days. That's only 2 weeks left, so I believe it's time to have nominations and voting withing next 2 days.

I hope somebody will nominate one of these three: Nobunaga the Fool (I believe in the author), Space Dandy (dubbed + great author) & Nisekoi.

Of course best ones are Saki S2 & Silver Spoon S2. Oh and Chuu2 S2 not too bad.

 

Yep watched Uchouten Kazoku last season, its PV was intriguing so I had to. It was good I found, not something I’d recommend to many people but 7 worthy for me at least. Although I think my score comes partly from the animation, if it helps I also rated RDG 7 so……
As for if he sounded cute, I don’t know he might of. This finished 3 months ago, you know how much shit I’ve watched in the last 3 months? I can’t remember how he was really anymore, he wasn’t the absolute main focus so he was much easier to forget. All I can say with certainty is that I didn’t realise it was her voicing him


That settles it.
She must voice the MC again in the next MADHOUSE Yuri show.

EDIT: That was before I found out it was going to be 13 episodes.
Don't expect Saki to completely finish by the time I'm 20.
A third season is more than likely in 2015.

There's a new Anime coming out from them, it's called Project Valkyrie.
It's an original.



Ei Aoki is directing (he did Fate/Zero and Ga-Rei: Zero)
The character designs are being handled by Takashi Takeuchi (Works for Typemoon)
The script writer is Katsuhiko Takayama (who did.. prepare your anus for this.. HE did the script for Boku no Pico.. yep.. he's THAT guy)

I'm confused. Is Space Dandy going to be dubbed from the start? It's not american made is it? @Ovyda

@Batosai yes it will be dubbed right from the start Actually dubbed version will come out before subbed. That's how Watanabe is loved in the western community.

Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Kids on the Slope author after all

Nobunaga the Fool author is Shoji Kawamori. He is more known probably for doing the deisgn but he is quite famous for his own works too. He's usually working with mecha series tho.

 

I see. Well when i saw the picture of Nobunaga anime i thought of Code Geass because of the girl in the back.

Wow i didn't know the author of Cowboy Bebop also made Samurai Champloo.. Cowboy Bebop just might have moved up as the next series i will watch then. Well after Initial D that is.

 

Okay so a large portion of the fall releases have finished up so here's my thoughts on what I watched.

NouKome:

Rating: 7/10

First off, hilarious and I kind of felt a bit bad for the MC. Despite the anime being more ecchi than my preference, I enjoyed watching for the most part. On that note, it was too short with only 10 episodes and I was not a fan of the ending.

Kyoukai no Kanata:

Rating: 8/10

I liked the story a lot. The fight scenes were done nicely and kept my attention. My only gripe was the ending. I can't even put into words how disappointed with the ending I was.

IS S2:

Rating: 7/10

Okay, I'll be blunt; I watched this for Laura. She's one of my favorite characters. Most everyone knows from the first season Ichika is baka and clueless. The first episode of this season was my favorite and I may even watch again to see my German Maid and Neko Laura. Overall though, was alright and the last episode was left open enough were there could be a season three made.

Outbreak Co.:

I didn't watch the first 6 or so episodes as they came out, but a few friends convinced me the pick this anime up and I'm very glad I did. There were so many references to other animes/otaku culture I couldn’t keep track. The faces they made at times were odd looking at times, but otherwise thae animation was good. The story was well paced and I was always waiting for the next episode. I was okay with the end, though sad it was ending. I'd be very happy to see a second season made.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll:

I love Yaya. There, I said it. She made this anime awesome. Other than Yaya, this anime was not what I was expecting. The plot was not the tournament-style fights I was expecting. It ended up feeling more like side stories. The end just seemed to show up leaving the story behind. I hope for a season two to finish this anime (In my eyes).

Miss Monochrome

A fun short beginning to end. The episodes were fairly random with the time line being one of the few consistence (and even that was a tiny bit abstract). I wouldn’t mind seeing more but what I really want is a full version of the ending song.

I found the MAL of this page the day the first episode was released. I thought it sounded interesting and decided to watch. I'm glad I did so as I enjoyed the anime a lot. As some had pointed out, the lines around the characters did get a bit thick at points. Reminded me of American animation. The story was nice and had bits of suspense that I liked. I'd like to see a second season, but the ending was good enough I could live if it were to end here.

Kill la Kill and Log Horizon are still ongoing so I don't want to say too much about them. Both also have their own thread here, so I'll give my mid-way thoughts there when I have the time.
