Is that Wrestling anime worth watching? I've watched the first Unbreakable Machine-Doll and it was very funny. What I've seen so far:

    Kyokai no Kanata
    Kill la Kill
    Strike the Blood
    Log Horizon
    Little Busters ~Refrain~
    Magi: The Kingdom of Magic
    Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~
    Unbreakable Machine-Doll
    Yusibu

    Waiting for another two

Let me tell you this first, if you're planning on watching Yozakura Quartetn, then you must watch the first series, then Umi no Hoshi and then start this one, but only the first series is not completely faithful to the manga. But that aside, the anime is very fun to watch. Now Strike the Blood, the first episode was fun to watch, some action scenes and comedy plus I feel like there's gonna be a little mystery, but that's just what I think.

Why do I need to watch the first series? This isn't a sequal it's a remake right?

It's so that you would understand the story a little, but if you don't want to watch the first series that's alright, but watch Umi no Hoshi. Also, Hana no Uta is not a remake of the first series, you could say it's the sequel to Umi no Hoshi

It just so happened that I started watching the first series about a week ago, it was a surprise to see another series come out for it.

Just watched Kuroko no Basket season 2 episode 1. They proved immediately why i rated this a 10 and why it's one of my favorites. Great episode.

So far watching Kuroko no Basket 2, Hajime no Ippo: Rising, Diamond no Ace and Coppelion. Will try a few more tomorrow.

I've watched the first episode of Noucome and I'm gonna say this: Poor guy with the multiple-choice thing, but it does seem to be fun

After much thought, I've decided not to watch Tokyo Ravens.
    I don't think it'd interest me.

I agree with that, Samurai Flamenco was interesting, a weakling grew up watching heroes and aims to become a hero but gets beat up by drunks and teens before calling a cop for help, it seems like it is going to be a fun watch.
Also the cop being voiced by the same guy that does Gintama's Gintoki doesn't hurt at all,

I thought it was the cop when Ovyda said Gintoki's voice is in it. I actually didn't notice when i watched the ep.

I guess it is because how much Gintama I've been watching recently that made it really easy to tell it was him, his first line was sufficient enough for me to be confident and by the second line I was 100% certain it was him.

This season isn't doing too badly at the moment, some surprisingly good first episodes have left much better first impressions than most of last seasons so I am fairly pleased with them. Although there are some that should not of seen the light of day with their anime debut, ugh golden time and those 2 ecchi ones as well.......

Just watched Yowamushi Pedal episode 2. Perfect episode. I love how it's building up for the MC to start his life as a cycler. The race was kinda intense and very well done. The humour was also great. I can't wait for next ep.

^ Nope don't like golden time, reading the bio and seeing seinen tagged with it makes me sad. I was hoping it would be another masterpiece with a more realistic portrayal of life as seen with Uchuu Kyoudai. The bio says its about the two males, yet I see this stalker chick being able to steal the entire screen time away form them and god I hate that character. I really wanted the daily lives and trials of two normal college law students with the stalker being sort of important but the first ep was meant as a warning for me to quit, so dropped.
As for the ecchi one I was specifically talking about was that wrestling one, but I included machine doll as well since its tagged as ecchi and seinen. It really reminded me of the familiar of zero and watching one season of that was more than enough, also loli ecchi and what seemed like it would develop into a harem, yeah dropped. Incidentally I am also against the multiple choice one, moe plus ecchi is a horrible combination, rom coms are definitely not my thing.
And while I'm at it, without any knowledge about it I'm going to throw in non non biyori as well, such young female students in the countryside is not seinen content and the ed theme features them all in a bath together, sexualised loli's why Japan?

Exactly how I feel about this series, I love how the MC seems pathetic and is more of the supporting role kind of character in most other series yet here we are watching his struggle with his love of anime. I need the next episode sooner rather than later.

    What Bio did you read?

    From MAL
Tada Banri, a newly admitted student at a private law school in Tokyo, found himself completely lost after the opening ceremony, trying to find his way to the freshman orientation. At that moment, he ran into another lost freshman from the same school, Yanagisawa Mitsuo, and they hit it off at once. Somehow arriving at their intended goal just on time, there appeared in front of the two a beautiful girl holding a bouquet of roses. The girl then whacked Mitsuo across the face with the bouquet and handed the flowers over to him. "Freshman, congratulations", was all she said, and then left. The stylish, well dressed, perfect woman that had swung at Mitsuo was his childhood friend, Kaga Kouko. As children they had promised to marry each other one day, fulfilling their dreams. In order to escape from her, Mitsuo had gone out secretly and taken the examination for this well known private college, but now she showed up in the freshman orientation hall. She too had taken the law school entrance examination, catching up with him there.

Plus the tags have romance and comedy so chances we it wasn't going to focus on two guys in college. Unless I'm getting you mixed up with someone else again romance anime normally aren't your thing right?

You are exactly right Meta it is me, and probably a few others but I'm the most open about my annoyance from that genre, I even said it in a further part of the post you quoted

    .

I read that bio, it sounded like to me that they meet the childhood friend after focussing on the two male students who would be the central characters that everything revolves around. While that isn't necessarily wrong the amount of screen time and the 'importance' of her screen time seems like it'll be too large to have many other situations arise for her 'boyfriend'. At least with the childhood friend scenario you usually have feelings growing, troubles, drama, this is just she is way to obsessed and he can't do anything about it but hide from her momentarily. Romance is okay if a good balance is maintained but the smothering approach she had is way too overbearing and no where near true to life like I was hoping it would be. I knew it was going to be a bad series for me to attempt but since it isn't labelled as ecchi I decided that I actually wanted to give it a chance and see for myself why I'd hate it. Turns out its simple, that stalker, I hate her.

Okay so I was right. Well everyone has at least something that isn't their thing. For me it's horror. For romantic comedies it depends on the series. I've seen so many by this point I've found some to get boring even if the series is highly rated if the characters just don't work for me. So it's just a matter of personal taste at that point. however there is thing that can happen that I've developed a bit of a hatred for. Over use of the "Miss understanding plot" you know how it is girl sees guy or guy sees girl in a somewhat suggestive situation and instead of reactive like a normal human and giving their partner two seconds of trust to give an explination they storm out and it can take up to the next episode to resolve the damn issue. If it just happens once or twice and it's just a quick spat I don't care but those ones that make it so dramatic and do something like "OH NO WILL THEY GET BACK TOGETHER?" even though you clearly know the guy will go after her, she'll finally stop being stuborn and listen, and they'll bury the hatchet and laugh or something.

The reason this plot device that started to annoy me is Marmalade boy....this series.....I'll try and keep this brief. It starts out okay

Main girl meets a guy she thinks is cute. Later she finds out her parents and his parents and divorcing and swapping partners (Don't ask). To makes things worse they plan to have all six of them live in one house. It's a weird set up and it kinds forced the main couple together but it's not all that bad right? Well the issue comes up as the series progresses. We find out she used to be in love with a childhood friend but had her heart broken when her love letter to him was read out loud. But you find out later the guys actually just found the vote on their own he didn't read it out loud. Latter Yuu's (the main guy) ex girl friend shows up and tries to make the MC think they are together. Latter a guy falls for her and does pretty much the same thing to Yuu. Then just repeate the same god damn formula for 60 or more episodes......You see the problem? This writer had no idea how to keep the story going without some kinda misunderstanding. She has to think Yuu liked someone else or he had to think she liked someone else or one of them had to think it wouldn't work out for some reason. The series never gave time to even try to let the romance develop or enjoy them being together for more than an episode. The worst part though was at the very end of the series. Yuu saw a letter when he was a kid that made him think he wasn't his fathers kid. This is important as the event is what scared his childhood and made his who he became. Near the end he thinks he and the main girl are half siblings due to a picture. This sends both him and her when she finds out into depression and she even nearly gets killed in an accident. Well after that's over they resolve to be together no matter what......just in time to their parents to tell them it was all one big misunder-effing-standing. Yu's father really was his father and he and the main girl share no blood relation.....I would be a happy man if the writer got hit by a truck.
I won't rant further but the point is this series was just one big missunderstanding so I've developed a hatred for the plot device. It's a fairly common thing in romantic drama series but luckily the well written ones don't abuse it or actually use it in a decent way. But I occasionally come across some that abuse it. Although none have come close to being as bad as Marmalade boy was. I didn't cover even a quarter of the misunderstandings in that show.
