Now no longer watching Apoc because R.I.P. Mommy
The age of MILFs are upon us. I expect many anime to give me delicious MILFs.
I forgot to check back here.... next time just to be safe mention me when you reply because I get an email notice for that.... like I want to try to get in touch with this place again but I keep getting busy with work and stuff and just completely forget.
Well in anycase I see why a lot aren't big fans of this fall. For example Black Clover is okay.... but the animators apparently decided they wanted to make this the next long running shonen and are covering less than a chapter per episode and it's kinda grating. UQ Holder is better but as someone who's read the manga I'm not SUPER interested in it plus the start is a tad slow. In fact I'm really behind on it.
A lot of other stuff I don't hear good things about like kings game and that Dies Irea one or are sequals to things I never watched season 1 of.
A few things I found at least interesting were Boku no Kanojo which was kinda fun but after a couple episodes not much was really happening it was just a couple calmly going out with no problems what so ever except for the girl being kinda pervy... but I've seen anime that had pervy girlfriends before and I feel they did it better.
On the other hand Ner Juu no susumme is a lot of fun. The main pair is really likeable and the supporting cast works off them well. The game elements themselves are pretty generic and boring but the character's really save it.
Shogeki no Souma I was hoping would be my main favorite but I'm REALLY not a fan of it's current arc. What was wrong with the plot of rival cheffs going against each other and getting better as they rose to the top? Why did we need the evil douche of a father to take over and give a dozen other characters an excuse to act like elite assholes? I mean the MC's FIRST match after all this crap starts has his opponent openly cheating which he has to win against. Honestly I checked out the manga at this point to see where it went and even the current chapters haven't had them finish off this arc which means the season definitely wont and it kinda killed my interest. Not saying the anime is bad but the evil father just REALLY annoys me and those elite 10 that sided with him are just a bunch of arrogant asses.
The Mage's Bride anime is nice. Kinda slow and I read the manga already but the visuals and story are nice enough to make it worth watching even as a manga reader.
Finally the last I"ll mention is Keikkai sensen because... I just have not managed to catch up with this. I keep just watching something else and forgetting.
P.S. On the other hand the French series Wakfu had a new season this fall and it was amazing. Villain was a bit lame but not overly so and overall it was a real pleasure to watch.
P.P.S. I am looking forward to winter though which looks like it will finally bring in some fresh life after two rather dull seasons.
I mean we've got OVerlord season 2, a new Cardcaptor sakura of all things, a new Trigger anime, and a reboot of an old anime I never saw but apparently a lot of people liked so it has potential. Also there are a few others like killing bites which looks bloodier than I normally like but just something about it I find appealing. Maybe it's because the heroine is a god damn Honey Badger girl.
I hope Citrus is gonna be on your list.
no. I don't generally care for Yuri. Watched it once or twice like Stawberry Panic way back when but that's about it.
It's a masterpiece tho.
Actually got shit to watch:
Pop Team Epic
I still think this year was fun. We got two new season of Gintama, second season of Love Live Sunshine, and Boku no Hero S2 among other shows. Oh well, guess I'll go sulk in the corner for liking trashy anime that the internet likes to meme rather than enjoying the series.
@Sir-Maddy oh and good news for you, you aren't going to be the only loser watching Citrus anymore. Its 2nd PV makes it look a little better but it included Nano Ripe as the ED artist. I've seen everything they've currently been associated with so I guess I'll have to watch this too now.
Yay more lesbians. At least this one looks better than NTR, a lot more has gone into its production. I just hope it will be at least watchable.
Ugh, fuck Nano Rape seriously, I'm glad I don't listen to EDs.
Uh, I think this is by Passione, which, does not have a good track record. Also prepare your balls for E X T R E M E M E L O D R A M A and M I S U N D E R S T A N D I N G S
Just looked at upcoming anime season, saw Citrus. Started wondering if anyone on the forum would be watching it too. Was not disappointed.
Not sure what else though... maybe Kokkoku? Probably just end up waiting to see what anime everyone jumps on, and pick then them up 3 weeks in, like always.
But without them I'd be even less interested in watching Citrus. I find there themes to be catchy. Remember Humanity has Declined's one?
At least their track record isn't full of shorts that weren't even animated amazingly. Passione have nicely animated their stuff, while they aren't great so far they look a little better.
Also I'm okay with drama. Apparently I like drama, I just don't like romance. Most romance are drama so I can end up liking them. It is a very thin line and honestly I ave no idea what I generally like anymore.
So I take it you are happy with this development then? Join us in complaining how horrible Citrus will be weekly. Guaranteed to piss off fans.
I didn't realise Kokkoku was airing next season, god damn it. I think I will be watching at least 15 series again. But what else is new?
For me it depends on the source of the drama. Yeah I think romance does need drama to be interesting because most romances I've seen without it bored me. Like just this past season there was the one with the perverted girl... but besides the fact that the girl was a Kuudere type who was mildly perverted the show had like NOTHING goes for it.
They dated by the end of the first episode was it was relatively smooth sailing after that. What little drama it has wasn't interesting. But that being said I've seen romances with drama that I still hated, found not very interesting.
First of all I generally hate "Misunderstanding" based drama. I mean it's always the same. They get angry, stop talking, eventually either figure out the truth on their own or finally talk it out and then they get together again in tears or something. Also a lot of anime with this kind of drama tend to rely on one side being an absolute ass where one just won't listen and no one is willing to just talk things out until the plot is finally ready to move on.
Yes! Sounds like a plan.
I don't know how you can watch so many things... the only thing I followed last season was Net-Juu, and I was 3 weeks behind the whole time.
So Sword Dynasty did nothing for me. It's as low budget as it gets, with little dialogue and a shot ton of sexy grunts. The dub over goes as well as any dub goes, like shit. Only 11 more episodes to go.
MC of Citrus is exactly my type, I love gyaru girls. I assume the kiss scenes were meant to feel very uncomfortable.
Only the one b/w Mei and the teacher. Now prepare for nothing.
Fucking dropped Sword Dynasty because it's so shit. Should've never doubted Pop Team Epic and it doesn't deserve the OP it has. And Citrus is going as I did not expect.
@Supernatural-Knight Did you ever catch the first episode of Memumemu-chan?
I won't lie, I'm actually quite enjoying Citrus. Some scenes work really well in the manga. I fucking hate Matsuri's voice though, it's way too high.
