Story is 8th in monthly series promoting Parasyte -the maxim- TV anime
[IMG]The June issue of Kodansha's Afternoon magazine is announcing on Saturday that manga creator Peach-Pit will draw a one-shot based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte manga, titled "Oshiete! Tamiya Ryōko-sensei" (Teach Me! Professor Ryōko Tamiya) for the magazine's July issue. The magazine teases the one-shot:

"Will I be eaten or will I be taught? I want to have a "symbiosis" with this type of teacher!"
The one-shot is the 8th in a monthly series of original "Neo Kiseijū" (Neo Parasyte) stories by different creators. The project is promoting the Parasyte -the maxim- television anime, which ended in March. Akira Hiramoto (Me and the Devil Blues), Riichi Ueshiba (Mysterious Girlfriend X), and Ryoji Minagawa (Peacemaker) previously wrote one-shots for the series.

Another series of one-shots, "Neo Kiseijū f," ran in Kodansha's Aria shojo magazine.

Peach-Pit launched the Rozen Maiden manga in Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz magazine in 2002 before switching to Young Jump in 2008. It inspired two 12-episode television anime adaptations (Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden - Träumend), the two-episode prequel Rozen Maiden: Ouvertürein 2006, the short special Rozen Maiden: Detective Kun-Kun, and a 2013 Rozen Maiden anime remake .

[IMG]Iwaaki's Parasyte (Kiseijū) manga takes place in a world where alien beings called Parasites come to Earth and start taking over humans by entering in through their noses and ears and attaching themselves to their brains. One alien called Migi is only able to take over high school student Shinichi Izumi's right arm, and is unable to control Shinichi completely. Migi and Shinichi learn to co-exist, and the two battle other Parasites who see humans only as food.

Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in North America.

Parasyte is inspiring two live-action film adaptations, the first of which premiered on December and the second of which will open on April 25. The anime series premiered in October andCrunchyroll streamed series as it aired. Sentai Filmworkslicensed the series in North America.
