Well, he is kind.

In addition to technically starting a royal lineage -- the answer to one of those IS a no, but with a catch.

Yes, I do like Mikoto -- and no, I do not like Nunally.

I considered making the above argument, but thought it best not to do so -- guess it's out now, so there's no point in me disagreeing. In addition to what Negi said, Code Geass kind of sucked as an anime.

I have no personal vendettas against you, but rest assured, if you ever do this again, some people will vote against you just because of this reason.

As for your argument against my 'we're voting for the cooler characters' bit, I think you wrong -- This is entirely a battle for the position of best character of royalty, not 'most royal like'.

Chill out -- whether you decide to drop out or not (when we're facing as close a match up we are) don't break the rules you agreed to.

And as for being unable to do anything, if memory serves me well, in the second half, she was able to actually fight for the country she believed in and was a major threat to the rebels, having a remote detonator in her hands and ready to use it. She was overshadow by her brother, yes, but being unable to do anything is a lie.

The bolded. Mikoto is NOT royalty. He calls himself king, yes, but he was not BORN in a ROYAL family. Fact.

Lelouch literally coddled her -- she was such a hindrance on Lelouch, it's ridiculous. No matter what he did for her, she always turned around and screwed him over.

When we say she wasn't able to do anything USEFUL, I cannot concede that it's true.

She might have done a thing or two for the good of her brother, but that is stomped out, indefinitely.

 

I will argue these 2 points.....
1. Is Mikoto born in a royal family?
Who said to be royal you need to be born into a royale family? If I am a usurper and I win I become king and there for am royale even thought I was not born into royal family. Mikoto is a King there for is Royalty born into it or not.....

2. Is he a kind individual?
Who said you need to be a kind individual to be a good king? Kindness does not necessarily make good kings. This is not a world of rainbow and unicorns where everything is always peachy. A good king knows when to be cruel and knows when to be kind, Knows when to hold back and knows when to let loose... kindness is not the only thing that makes a great king.....

If a kind king gives away all of his food to his people and leaves none of it to feed his army who will protect them? once they are being plundered and murdered by invading armies because they have no army to protect them due to the lack of food I am sure they will be saying how could this happen he was such a kind king.....

That argument doesn't hold water, considering you voted out Lulu as well. If you consider him better than her, then he'd still be around.

So Nunnally is a waste of space and her trying to free Japanese people out of kindness is inane trait that should be frowned upon? Welp, good to know that today's people are judged by how 'useful' they are are to society rather than by their character traits.

Next you are gonna say that Honest is a good leader because Honest usurped the throne of the country and is therefore a righteous king.

 

Totally -- she is a waste of space and actually cumbersome to the freeing of the Japanese people.

Am I going to judge her because she contributes little? Yes.

Am I going to judge her because she's a generic character? Yes.

You can be the most kind person in the world but if that leaves you poor and unable to pay child support it still makes you a dead beat dad....

Just saying that kindness is not the end all be all trait that your making it out to be.......

 

If all that matters to you is how interesting they are rather than their inner qualities, then I have nothing more to say to you.

 

Now, I will say that I look at characters as a whole -- as opposed to blindly looking at the upsides.

Although, mine with @Negi-Springfield was friendly, and resolved rather nicely.

 

That isn't true. If it were, you would have recognized Honest for what he really is: a gluttonous bastard. Or are your criticisms reserved only for Nunnally?

So you refuse to see his less admirable traits? You just said you'd look at a character as a whole rather that be blinded by postiive traits. Well, your view of Honest sure doesn't look like 'looking at a character as a whole rather that be blinded by positive traits' to me!

 

I do look at him as a whole, and I love him as the bad guy, and would actually be interested in seeing his story. I don't care if he starves his people, he's still a good character (when I say good, I don't mean morally).

I'm not being blinded by positive traits, I just want more from my characters than just, 'they're sweet and pitiful' -- there's nothing really more to say. Whereas, you can go on a tangent in the case of Honest, you can say that he's scum, he's manipulative, he's greedy, and he's far from being a good person. But, that's why I like him. He's dynamic, and we love to hate him, just as much as we hate that we love him (maybe not you, but many of us).

Esdeth is horrible, and I think she's the best character in Akame ga Kill -- she's sadistic, ruthless, sociopathic, villainous, a little bit clingy, and an utter ***** (damn you, PG rulings!). But, I don't care.

Characters that make you feel emotions are the best ones! You might have a close connection with Nunally, but I certainly don't. That is the beauty of this elimination game. I mean, Bradley from FMA is a pretty scummy guy, and he's still loved by the people here. Notice how, in spite of the fact that @Vladnyx noted traits most would deem negative (I.E self obsessed), they still won! (although, I don't think Bradley won)

 

Well, I have close connection with Nunnally. Just because you dislike her doesn't mean I do. So quit insulting her.

 

Quit insulting Honest, I love that guy.

and again,

'Tis what makes this game so fun -- we've varying opinions, and we are defending our opinions because we do feel a connection with our favorite characters.

 

On that note, I'd like to say GG.

You stood for your favorite characters, even though you threatened/left the game to do so (which is kind of stupid, if you ask me -- although, this whole argument is stupid, given that we're arguing OPINIONS REGARDING FICTIONAL CHARACTERS).

I hope this absolves any grudges, although I know it won't, if you have one.
