I love the Clamp universe and found MKR very interesting while I've had friends that like Snow White with the Red Hair, I couldn't get into it.

What? This is about rulers not which show I like more. Emeraude was an interesting character but she stopped praying for her kingdom because she couldn't get a guy out of her head. She summoned warriors from our world to kill her so she would stop being the ruler. However they also destroyed the man she loved which turned her into a dark being that wanted to cause destruction. The three warriors from our world were traumatized because they were forced to kill two people in love.

Yes she was in a pitiful position but she failed as a ruler.

i wont go as far as saying she failed as a ruler. she made the choice of summoning the knights, and as i said above, knew what it would entail. if only zagato didnt know of her plans and only if the girls didnt do what they did to zagato.

Tenchi Masaki: Tenchi is compassionate, humble, noble, level-headed, and a respectful young man training with his grandfather as a Shinto priest & as a swordsman. Living in Japan with his father, one day a number of alien girls arrive to his home. Oddly all of them to some degree expressing romantic interest in him. Throughout these ordeals he learns hidden truths about himself, his role in the universe, & just how powerful & significant he actually is.

Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi: At first she portrays herself as dignified, proud, & loving. Acting like a sister-figure to the other girls at her school, she prioritized them over winning, yet as a princess, she felt she should be the best at everything. As such she genuinely felt that all the people of her country were equals & as the first princess lead them. However, her ideology of equality did not account for everyone, believing another race to not be human and that they were vile in nature & should be quarantined. There is a lot more lucking in the shadows about this princess, but if I told you it'd lead to spoilers.

Mystogan- Fairy Tail - @Core vs Sadao Maou - Hataraku Maou-sama! - @Natsu

Mystogan: The man is a reclusive member of the Fairytail Guild. He doesn't want people to see his face so he hides his identity with a mask. Many question who he really is as he is so mysterious. He is considered a kind man with few words. I'd go further but that be spoiler territory.

Sadao Maou: Sadao is the Demon King from Ente Isla. Due to being confronted by the Hero Emilia and the humans, he was forced to retreat and ended up in the human world in present day Japan with one of his generals, Ashiya, and changed into a human form. To survive, he works as part-timer at MgRonalds and is eventually promoted from part-time to a full-time worker. As Demon King he was synonymously known for terror & cruelty his army brought, however on Earth he is shown as a diligent & proactive employee, instead applying his strong driven determination to better himself in his newfound life.

Everything I can say about Mystogen would spoil the story beyond repair for those who know not what the story is, thanks to how wrapped in mystery he is.
I just think he had a harder job than Sadou Maou did, considerring their circumstances.

Spoiler: Not even sure if I should say this:

Most I think I can say is that he helped rebuild his damaged kingdom later on, after it experienced a catastrophic event.

Mystogan is the Edolas counterpart to Jellal.
He is the prince who left his kingdom from another dimension to save people from the atrocious acts of his father. Mystogan made it his job to stop the Anima spell from stealing magic from Earth Land. He later returned to his kingdom, when the King of Edolas stepped up the magic-stealing plans. There, Mystogan went about stopping the plan once and for all with the help of the Fiary Tail guild.
