Renouncing My Staff Position

It comes weighing in with a heavy heart that I must renounce my Staff Position. A small hand full of you were already made aware of this announcement, but for those of you who were not this is for you. As many of you may have known back during April I wasn't around and virtually inactive. This lead to the News/Manga announcements to not be updated for those who read it. During this month I have been back but my job has acquired partnership with 3 other companies who'll we'll be working alongside to produce new product. As a result my work schedule is going to increase drastically resulting in mandatory overtime.

The volume of time I'm speaking of is 7 days a week ranging anywhere between 10-16 hours a day. I'll be walking into this storm first thing this coming Monday. Now this doesn't mean I won't be around, but my post here on the forums will be brief due to only posting on my phone during my work breaks. So yeah I'll still be around it's just I won't be seen around the hours your accustomed to seeing me.

Now this overtime essentially correlates to being between 70-90+ hours a week I'm at my job. This cuts away nearly all my free time in which I'd create news post & threads. To add to the burden I'll be helping my parents renovate their home by stripping off the roof. Were talking trusses, rafters, plywood, beams, studs, everything. With so much going on in my personal life at this given time I can't accomplish the task required of my Staff Role.

I knew that due to all this I can't possibly do what is required of the role. So I'm renouncing myself as I feel it's the right call to make. Maybe somebody out there is up to the challenge of taking over in my long-term absence, maybe even full-time. As it stands my earliest return would be say the end of July. I however, don't foresee that being the case but closer to the end of Oct or possibly even later.

Well that's about all there really is for me to say. I'll miss the Role I was given & I'll miss you all even more.

Yeah I suppose it does and you better believe I'll take all the luck I can get. Sure I may no longer be a staffer but that doesn't mean that I can't contribute. ​

You will be missed and have done great job since your staff role. Its complelty understandable, you cant do what you physically cant do. You need to think about yourself!.

Believe me I'm none to happy about it. First week back starting out with 12 hour days. There showing mercy because of Memorial Day. Joy a holiday I don't have to work. Productivity is still going to out weigh the negative of not having build hours. It's a damn pain trying to hit all these dead lines.

Maybe once this is behind me I'll apply to other jobs even if it means driving a hour plus to get there. I'll continue trying to find time to pop in ever now and then.​

 

Geez, that's hectic! Better make sure you don't over work yourself, @Vladnyx . Those hours are Really massive... Take care though. I think if we find out you're sick in the future, you'll have some unhappy just anime forum people .... XD

@Kaede I'll take that advice to heart. If anything come Monday that'll just be my resting day since it's holiday and Iv'e got it off. Would have cried tears otherwise.

Sorry @Cpt_K3nny I don't do any of those things. Though due to working with my hands constructing lights, wire harnesses, ect my finger strength is crazy. I can break walnuts with just my thumb and pointer finger (right hand only, working on being able to do it with left). If anyone thinks that that is easy to do try it for yourself because it isn't.

@VeritasOdiumParit as for the products I assemble, build, or help fabricate and make it varies. Some days I'm working on Headlights, Marker & Clearance Lights, Stop/Turn Tail Lights, and various others though these are what I mostly work on building or assembling the most. Today got to build one of our new products from one of the 3 partnered companies, though guess it isn't really a partner considering we bought them out right. So I had that information wrong due to misunderstanding. Anyway if your familiar with Ford's new Raptor I'm building the Fog-lights that go on them. That's what I got to do today anyway and likely what I'll be doing the rest of this week and a part of next week.​

 

Yeah, rest up! You're definitely going to need it.

I'm sorry. Then again, maybe you can actually make a difference (albeit a limited and very small difference) in Ford's craptastic vehicles. At least there is a chance that the fog-lights will work better and last longer than the rest of the vehicle. lol

@Core I read that post during my lunch break today. Nearly spat Mt. Dew onto the table. The easiest mode is "Hard". Hate to break it to you but I'm still on Normal difficulty. In two weeks is the 16 hour days... somebody just end me already. 16 hours days is "Hard Mode". Nobody likes "Hard Mode" unless your sadistic. At least it'll prove fun building Military grad spot lights to go onto all our hum-vies and choppers. And before you ask I'm not allowed to disclose how they are built. I could get in serious trouble. The worst kind of trouble.

@Vashnik sorry you have a dislike for Ford. I'm not going to defend them by saying all their vehicles are great, but they were the only ones who didn't need the Government Bailout unlike GM & Chrylser. Ford didn't need the funds, since it had already cut costs. But it asked to be included so it wouldn't suffer by competing with subsidized companies. So somewhere they must've been doing something right, though I'm not going to defend them over being included in the Bailout. Regardless I build some of the lights they use on their given vehicles now.

@Cpt_K3nny I'd say I'm sorry that I'm not who you envisioned me to be. I'm my own person like anybody else. Maybe somewhere down the road we have drifted apart... Hell where do I sign up to go to this smashing DISCO PARTY?!
