I really wish you guys would rate and populate the comments on the anime review pages under the site activity tab as well as post here, as this site was designed specifically for that purpose.

@Bedheadred: I don't think i word my reviews well enough to make em official or anything Red.

Also navigating the site is still a bit sluggish for me so i don't really have to patience to go thru every anime review you've got up to see if there's anything i can add.

@BlurredExistence just when you finish watching an anime and post down here your thoughts about it, go to Site Index, find the anime you've finished and then either make a review or create a topic for that anime. The reviews don't have to be professional you know :p

I would write reviews but would honestly prefer discussing anime then listening to myself speak. I don't know maybe I'll review some lesser known anime that I sometimes like but find that no one else knows of.

Just do like I do. I post in both places. Leave review because they are helpful, and post here as well for further discussions :p

    Vampire Knight Guilty 9/10

Usually 2nd season is worse than the 1st one. However, this does not apply to Vampire Knight Guilty. Almost in every category VKG was better than VK. The only thing I liked more in 1st season was OST. Music was good in VKG too, but not as fitting the mood of the story as the VK one.

What was 1st season lacking the most, was not enough character introduction in my opinion. I was rather disappointed that only Zero's past was showed and explained while Kaname's and Yuuki's was left unknown. After watching VKG I can understand why didn't show their past in VK. It does make sense and it was a good decision.

So yeah, we finally got to see their pasts, which also lead to see some better character development as well. If Yuuki was rather annoying and useless in VK, then in VKG she changed almost completely. At the beginning she still wasn't very contributing and as always Zero, Kaname or other Vampires had to take care of her, but she start to grow as a character in my eyes. Of course, that sudden event changed a lot, but she was already getting stronger before it.

On the other hand, I wasn't really expecting to see Kaname's true colors, but surprisingly we did get to see that. I thought he will be used as a mysterious character till the end, but here we got his past, we know why he's so caring about Yuuki and what are his future plans. I believe it was really well done, good timing I mean to do it. It was definitely shocking... I found his past even more harsh than what Zero had. No wonder Kaname was always so distant from everyone.

Vampire Knight Guilty in my eyes were already better when introduced antagonist early in the show instead of at last episodes like in VK. Although I wish he had more screen time. He did get more than enough screen time in the flashbacks, but a bit disappointing how short we got to see him in action during the current time. Yet, I am not really complaining about this as usually fights that take long are just irritating... I am not really fond of shows who drag fights, so I was rather happy how everything happened in VKG.

As I have already mentioned, the music wasn't as good as in Vampire Knight. However, I am not gonna lie, it was still very good. I gave 9/10 and only not a 10, because I know that it could have been better (VK as example). The whole OST was playing the right mood that characters of the series contained, so that was a great addition to the series.

To sum up, the VKG has definitely exceeded my expectations. I can honestly say that it's the first shoujo anime to me that was able to include some mystery and supernatural genre's very well. Another great thing about this anime is that it was unpredictable. Till the very end wasn't sure who will Yuuki choose if she will choose that is.

Whether it was helpful or not, please do not hesitate and give me feedback ^^ I do want to improve writing reviews. Thank you for reading!

I hated Yuuki's choice at the end (though it was sort of forced on her) and affected my overall experience of the show. Yes I'm actually picky like that and I know I'm not being fair. A couple shows manage to make me feel strongly about them and this was one of them. Maybe a love it or hate it kind of show? I could be looking to much into it though.

Anyway, forgive the cliche but..."still better then Twilight" (couldn't help myself lol)

I am usually upset with endings because I always pick a couple that doesn't happen. At least for once I could celebrate the ending. Although I still have to read manga to see how it really ended.

I've gotta say it feels like it's been some time since i've posted a rating here... and the reason would be:

Legend of the Galactic Heroes (Subbed): 10/10
How do i review this? It's 110 episodes long! How do i sum up an anime that's 110 episodes long? I don't think i can, other than to say that this is an epic of the epic sci-fi shows (and i'm including stuff other than anime into that generalisation as well). It has a vast and outstanding cast of characters, epic battles that range from both the tactical to the strategic in scope, complex plots and intrigue, political struggles and alliances, romance, even some comedy. I don't think i am pushing it to say that this almost has everything one could ask from sci-fi (altho it doesn't have mechas i will admit).

This is a masterpiece of an anime and i seriously recommend that anyone who enjoys sci-fi watch it. Don't be put off by the artwork (i know the old styles bother some of you, they bother me too but you can quickly come to overlook it), don't be put off by the subs (it's not gonna get a dub, if it was it would've by now so you'll have to put up with the reading but even if you don't like that trust me it's worth it!) and don't be put off by the length (110 episodes it may be but it never lulls, it stays compelling from the start to the very end), just go out and watch this at your earliest convenience!

@Ovyda: Don't you watch multiple animes at the same time? I don't see it being a problem as you already watch really long series' like One Piece or DBZ? I only saw it as an obstacle myself because i do one anime at a time and that meant a commitment of watching just Legends of the Galactic Heroes for 2 whole weeks. Trust me man give it a go and if you're not into it by, say, episode 15 then i'll be alright with you giving it up (i reckon that's about enough to establish whether it's too your tastes or not).

I do... but I can't handle them anymore :( I'll add it to my PTW list, but can't say when I'll start. Haganai and Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom as club activities just added to my list, summer season coming... and I am already behind over 30 episodes of my weekly's because I had internet connection problem :( I still need to add series to DT as well.

@BlurredExistence I see you have finished one very unique anime. I'm glad you liked it, it is a very complex and thought provoking anime. (Rooting for a autocracy over a democracy? What happened to my patriotism lol). They could have even gone even further if they delved deeper with the religious groups and that merchant empire (memory failing me here but you know what I mean). If we where to pretend that there was a sequel I would imagine them playing a huge role. That's how deep this anime is, now I'm making up potential stuff that it could do when it did so much in 110 episodes.

@Ovyda I would really recommend Requiem for the Phantom, but word of warning I hope you can take a more serious, darker, and depressing atmosphere kind of anime.

@Doomguy: Yeah i know what you mean man, at about a 3rd of the way thru the story sort of reminded me of the Foundation series of novels by Issac Asimov (which is a flipping amazing thing imo) but because those plotlines never really developed too far that kinda faded after awhile. All the way up to the end i was expecting and really worried that the terranists would pull off something major but aside from one assassination their story doesn't really amount to much, which i guess is still interesting because you do get groups like that in real life who work and plan for things well above their station but end up being quite the flop.

@Ovyda: Same man, but those are lowbrow and this is very much highbrow stuff so it might pull at you more now.
