An offline meet up of our community in japan [there should be a limitation so I'll go with all the regulars, plus some of my more inactive friends list], should be very awkward between a few of us but hey thats the fun of it, and if it is too awkward we are in Japan just go nuts and have a hell of a time while there.


Holy crap. I've been thinking over the last while how cool it'd be if we did this (minus the Japan part, wasn't really thinking of any location).

Anyaway, the question.
Mine would be Nyan Koi!. It was alright I guess, but from the name and the pic I saw of it on Facebook, I was expecting a plethora of kitteh people. I was gravely disappointed.

 

Blood Lad

Waited 3-4 months for it to come out [Estimating here]

Got through 1 episode, and just lost all interest. I honestly thought it was going to be a lot darker than it was. I will probably go back to it eventually, but I can't get over how disappointed I was at the fact that it was light-hearted.

 

Last anime that i was disappointed me, Clannad. Going to get a crap ton of hate but I Just couldn't get past episode one. The art style bugs the crap out of me, ALL the character look exactly the same only difference is length in hair and voice actors. Some other shows do "clone" background characters but when you have main characters who look exactly like each other and aren't twins or clones, to me that's just animators being lazy. The character should be as varied as we are as humans. Also Just in the 1st episode it's and incredibly slow paste. Now don't get me wrong i understand pacing but really? First episode felt like i just watched the endless 8 five times. I never understood why this was so hyped. a good anime in my opinion should leave you a reason to come back and watch the next episode (not a cliff hanger), and this didn't have it at all. Well I think that's enough of my ranting on a disappointing anime

 

Mine would have to be Roberta's Blood Trail if we are talking recently. The plot made no sense and it was just pointless violence. At least the first two series of Black Lagoon have a point to them.

Otherwise, some other anime would include:

Deadman Wonderland. I still cannot get over the fact that they went along with a fellower prisoner who could hack the prison. My suspension of disbelief sank to the bottom of the ocean when I saw that episode.

Elfen Lied would have to be another one. I was disappointed with the ending. It could have been better. It was a good ending. But, it still felt very weak and rushed to an extent.

 

Mine is Pupa and was just earlier today since it is only 1 ep through, I wanted uncensored glory and truthful to the manga not this quickly hashed together darkened piece of shit. Seriously at the end of this it will feel like 4kids cut less out of their One Piece dub than DEEN has left out of Pupa.

Sunday's question: Has there been a time when you've been in a crappy mood, only to hear a song that completely turns that mood around and brightens your day?

 

Thursday: I would probably go to a video game world. I'm not sure where though. Maybe Tamriel during the 3rd Era. Or maybe the StarCraft or MechWarrior/BattleTech universe. Hard to decide. I'd probably bring along a few friends, idk who though. =P

Friday: Gurren Lagann, actually. I only watched a few episodes and gave up on it, but I may try it again some other time.

Sunday: No, not really. =P I don't really think that music can turn my entire day around. Might brighten my mood for a few moments though.

 

well i listen to these songs when im tensed or under pressure. mostly are instrumentals.

Saturday: English. Definitely English. I hated that I was always forced to read books I didn't like (although, technically, I barely even did that). I hated how writing essays and stuff had no true method and structure like maths and science do, and that feeling was no doubt increased by how I suck at finding the proper wording for anything, especially under pressure. Probably the only thing that I enjoyed in the subject was when we got to do short stories for graded work instead of essays, in having that as an option, I was able to take inspiration *cough*bludge off references so large that it's almost part of the script*cough* from games and TV shows, and further still, make a massively solid template out of them to use for the entire year and just tweak to suit the prompt and whatnot.

Sunday: A few weeks ago, I was having my standard anger at our "govt", but then my entire mood was brightened by Lily Allen's "F*** You" cause it was a music video about 5265617 (number = new name for It, as it's the number of the boat It arrived on). XD
Other than that, the vocaloid song "Happy Synthesiser" sung by Luka and Gumi always seems to help get rid of a negative mood.

 

Saturday: English is still my most hated subject.
Which is weird considering I got an A in it, and A's are usually given out to the top 5 in the class.

Sunday: I listen to electro music when I'm pissed.

 

It depends on the teacher more than on the subject.

But I would say geography (even the teachers were saying that that class was shitty).
