    It came up as a recommended page on Facebook, tbh i didn't even know JD and DTR were related, i'd only ever been to JD a handful of times. I thought it would be cool to see what it was like and you guys seemed cool as cucumbers so i stayed around.

    I mostly joined to have fun and hang out.  I joined the JD forums after watching anime on there for a while.  I actually joined right before the sight went down.  When I heard about this site opening up I made an account here under the same name, posted maybe once or twice and then became inactive for whatever reason.  Recently (a month or so ago) I decided to become active again and register with DT as well.

    Glad I decided to become more active, I really love the community here and the people in it ^-^

    I joined JD as I was watching a lot of anime on the site and saw an awesome competition and so joined. I stayed cos I wanted to talk to people about anime.

    JD was always the first site I checked for my anime before any others.I'd been watching anime on there since 2010. I joined in Sept 2012 as I was curious as to how forums worked. I was not very active and with college and my laptop dying I forgot about my joining. When I got my current laptop about a month later I decided to look into what happened to JD and found my way to JD Refuge (where I became active) and eventually Here. My reason for doing so was that I wanted to see what would happen next. Would the community disperse or decide to make a new site. After finding JD Refuge and heard that there was plans for a new site, I decided I wanted to watch it grow, help out anyway I can, and ...


    if nothing else.....

    I've used JustDubs off and on since late 2009. I joined the JD forum after my gaming forum started to die out in 2011. My goal was to join JustDubs for the sole purpose of discussing anime and that was it. I told myself specifically, "You've worked hard on this gaming community over the past few years it will be nice to actually join a site for discussions and not have to do any actual site work." 1 month later everyone was scrambling because of the Megaupload shutdown which broke a good 70% of the links on JustDubs. I started volunteer uploading just to replace specific shows that I like. Another month after that they were taking new Content Managers to help replace the stuff on the site and because it seemed like the current CMs weren't doing anything in comparison to myself, Kyle and Joe ( the other two volunteers that were added as CMs with me). Between mainly me, Kyle, Joe and stevey we fixed I'd say 90% of the site between us. Being the only active Content Manager for JustDubs when the site was taken down stevey, Red and I started planning for this site. I was to become the head DT admin of the streaming site once it opened. I ran the temp forum with Sev and Nim in the meantime for a few months. Then DT and DTR opened. And the rest is history.


    ~ Saturday's question ~

    In relation to the previous question. Do you prefer the DTR or JD forum more? In terms of functionality, ease of access and appearance. Please give a reason for your choice such as what aspect you prefer more on either site and why.

    DTR. Even though there are a few navigational difficulties I find every now and then, I prefer how this site email notifications tell you of each post rather than if there's been a new post since you last visited (which effed up if you'd been logged out), and the message thing is much smoother to look through than the old one.

    Since I'm a retired bandwidth eating lurker I been mostly exposed to DTR as a member. I miss the huge traffic though. That stuff takes time.

    Sunday!
    I only recently started Pokémon X, and I'm barely into it, but I already love everything about it. I've been squealing like a fangirl at pretty much everything; The crazy graphics, the gameplay improvements, the f***ing adorableness of Fennekin. So, to the actual question; When was the last time you squealed like a fangirl at (or at least got super excited about) something, and what was it? :D

    Saturdays question:  I'll say DTR.  I didn't spend much time on the JD forums before the site went down, so I can't really say for sure.

    Sunday:  I'm not exactly sure what the last one was.  Could have been about the rumor of a Zelda 3DS XL release in the US.  Although idk if I had a fan girl moment over it exactly.  But I usually do over just about anything LoZ.

    Before Pokémon X, I think the last time would have been when I found a bunch of Haruhi DVDs in stock in JB Hi Fi after never having seen them in stock before. XD

    Saturday's - I'm not sure honestly, I use to prefer JD's layout because of the familiarity and it was the first forum I ever joined, however now that we've spent I think 5 months on this style with most if not all of the bugs worked out I have come to find this layout very easy to use as well. I have no issues with anything because of the view in last day button, and I happen to like the use of the at @function since it guarantees that the person in question will see it. So I may even prefer this layout now.

    Sunday's - I don't fangirl scream about anything, I do get excited about stuff but going over the top such as that I've not done once as far as I can remember. So the last thing I was excited about was, hmm.....
    If I had to choose I'd say the anime RAINBOW, it was way beyond what I thought it'd be and I was on a month long high after watching it as almost nothing was even close to its greatness. Actually that is kind of a lie, I am still kind of hung up over that series since I haven't found the next masterpiece in dark themes that beats it yet.

    @supernatural-knight I have a few dark theme anime that I have seen that are quite good. "Shiki", "Blood +", "Gungrave", "Requiem for the Phantom", "Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku", and "Speed Grapher" are my strongest recomendations. I have seen many other's as well.

    About the crazy fan question... definitly when I read (misread actually) of a remake for the game Xenogears. Alas it was something about XenoSaga. So basicly I got all worked up over nothing and the depression that followed afterwards made me rage at the state of videogames today lol.

    I wouldn't say I "squeal like a fan girl" but I do get very excited about any new Studio Ghibli projects. However, there are other things which also get me excited such as the new Captain Harlock movie and that new series called Space Dandy.

    Nice one Noobs. You've brought memories flooding back of when I was completely and utterly obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid. :3
    My fave dinosaur was the Deinonychus (yes, I did know its name back then :D ), which is apparently Greek for "Terrible Claw". But most people would more likely recognise it as the "Velociraptor" from Jurassic Park. My main reason for it being my favourite would be its long foot claws that it went *raarwrwrwarr* with as it slashed its prey with them. ^_^
