    saturday : i slept at 8 pm. well you think its too early? well i usually sleep at 12 pm coz night shift.

    Friday's question: Do you like disaster movies?

    I like some of them such as Dante's Peak and Twister, but I've watched a few recently that weren't all that great. Like all things it depends on the script and other techniques but when a lot of the movie is spent on talking rather than the disastrous events then things get boring.
    Although the anime Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 was a great watch.

    Not my favourite genre of movie but sometimes you just need to see the World fall apart and laugh at how implausible the scenario is and look forward to the next hilarious way someone dies!

    For the first time in forever I actually started an anime.
    Shokugeki no Soma is great so far, all the nonsense of sport anime mixed with more nonsense.

    See I have numerous answers to this, if newest release that isn't a short then Osomatsu San and it was amazing. If newest release that is a short then Kowabon and it is fine for a horror short. If anime that is already completed then Hourou Musuko and that was average at best and being kind about it.

    Asking me this question right when the new season starts sure makes things harder, I've started a bunch of shows already.... despite saying I wouldn't.

    Monday: Well, I'm re-watching DBZ and it's pretty great. But that probably doesn't count.

    I think the last anime I properly started was Naruto. It's good. Overrated, but good, if you stick with it.

    Friday's question: Pokemon the movie 1 is in cinemas here again after all these years. If it was in your local cinema, would you go see this movie?


    I was tempted, a friend of mine wanted to get a group of us to go but I doubt that'll happen so I can't see myself going now.
    Although I am wondering how many people are going to cry over stone Ash, would be interesting if the adults were crying louder than the kids [if any kids even see it].

    • To develop a new drug to cure leukaemia in children
    • To ensure that a new drug to cure leukaemia in children is safe and effective
    • To enable a scientist to study how the sense of hearing works
    • To test whether a garden insecticide will be harmful to people
    • To test whether an ingredient for use in cosmetics will be harmful to people

    The first two I am completely fine with and it wouldn't have to be exclusively for children, I'd support it for all medical illnesses. The third would depend on if the study was worthwhile and subject to ethical reviews i.e. exploring something that hadn't already been extensively researched and would lead to a greater understanding for medical purposes.

    Regarding garden insecticides, I'd probably draw the line there and say say it's not OK but I would be OK for insecticides for use in food production as long as it's subject to the same ethical scrutiny used in medical research. I am completely against animal testing for cosmetics.
