With the cancellation of Silent Hills came the removal of its interactive marketing tool, P.T., from digital storefronts everywhere.

While P.T. was only ever meant to promote the release of Silent Hills, the newest addition to the Silent Hill franchise (or, it would've been), it still managed to capture the affection of horror fans around the globe as a stand-alone experience.

If you saved P.T. to your console's hard drive, provided you haven't deleted it, you can still play P.T. to your heart's content. But, for the rest of us, if you still find yourself jonesing for your P.T. fix, Farhan Qureshi has you covered.

Made in Unity 3D, PuniTy seeks to replicate, as closely as possible, the experience and design of P.T. down to the last texture.

As of now, PuniTy only recreates the beginning of P.T., having re-made the starting corridor with surprising, if unpolished, accuracy.

Will PuniTy really serve as a worthy substitute (or, rather, recreation of) Konami's P.T.? It's hard to say. But you cannot deny the ingenuity of ambitious fans.
