I discovered this wonderfully touching ONA looking at the relationship between a cat and his owner from the cat's point of view. Be warned there may be tears!

Oh BK, what timing you have... I lost my cat just over 2 weeks ago. She was 19 years old, blind and mostly deaf. I've had her my entire adult life. Her name was babycat because she was supposed to be my child (I had not planned on having children.) She slept in my hair when she was a kitten and sat on my shoulder like a pirate's parrot. As she grew up she became difficult. She hissed at everyone except her family. Friends would come over and count how times they got hissed at. Whoever got the least was the winner. Even though she wasn't friendly, she was mine and I loved her. She knew me and was always there. In recent years, she had taken to sleeping ON me. I would wake up with her on my shoulder, chest, butt. Now that she is gone, I realize how much of my day was spent with the cat. I walk by where her bowl was and have to stop myself from changing the water. When I turn on a light, I still look to make sure she isn't under foot. I don't sleep well without her. I'm glad someone else in the world has had a best friend that was a cat.

BK you suck, I was prepared to watch that and go "yeah its really good just nothing tear worthy". The key for in that part is 'was prepared', I'll be honest I did tear up when watching that.
I'm not so sure if it was just the story that got me though, yes it was really well done and beautifully animated, but the moment I heard Pachelbel's CANON I knew it was going to be that much harder for me to get through. For some reason that song gets to me, and how it was used in everlasting heart was really fitting.
Thanks for sharing that great short, in the end we all found it 9 worthy and are even the last 3 to have watched it, I don't think we've ever done that before.
