Nyanuary 2015 Elimination

It's not that they HAVE to have real cat ears but it does help. But in that case I just didn't like the Cat sith and nothing about them seemed very cat like besides their apperance. You see just being a cat doesn't earn my vote they have to act like cats as well in various ways. In this case I didn't take the time to do a TON of research but she seemed to act like a cat a fair bit. In fact having lots of cat like qualities and not looking like a pure cat is worth more to me because if the cat cats got instant wins just for being cats then this would be boring. That's not to say cat cats get no consideration as some of the more interesting ones like Nyanta get my support. But again if their only reason for qualifying is "they are a cat" then I don't vote for them. Even a normal girl with cat ears is better as long as she has other cat like qualities like her personality and behavior.

Of course a girl who's ONLY catlike quality is wearing car ears once or twice (like Kuroneko) then I pretty much rank them dead last.

 

more like a person being able to feel like a cat despite not being a cat is more impressive than a cat feeling like a cat.... because they are a cat. So I'd give a cat boy the same treatment (but damn are those rare). Because the person has to at least put a little effort into it while a cat just has to exist. But again that only goes so far and a cat that is good enough (like say Nyanta or happy) could still beat most human like characters IMO.

 

It's kinda hard to explain though, but I do recommend watching the anime, it's almost like Mafia described her, trust me on this one, you'll enjoy the anime.

Oi, Nyanta is fully human. He acts like a cat and chose to have a cat person as his avatar. Not meaning to detract from his argument (Nyanta is my fave male character), but just wanted to correct.

Technically yes but what I meant was in terms of apperance (as we know him) he's pretty much pure cat. He does have a lot of of other cat like qualities but that is why I mentioned him as an exception. Most of the pure cat characters in the ranking are simply cats because they are cats. Nyanta and Happy are two exceptions when their actions and personality add to their cat like qualities. Because even if they weren't full cat they would still feel rather cat like.
