This year's combined 37th and 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday three new cast members for the second season of the My Hero Academia television anime series. The characters are anime-original characters, and will appear in an anime-original episode that will air on August 12.

The episode will focus on Tsuyu's workplace training experience. The cast members include:
    • Ami Koshimizu as Sirius, Selky's sidekick and Tsuyu's trainer
    • Tomokazu Seki as Selky, a "shipwreck hero" who has a gap between his appearance and personality
    • Anri Katsu as Innsmouth, a villain
The second season premiered in Japanese with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Hulu on April 1, and FunimationNow is streaming the English dub. The anime is listed with 25 episodes. The first cour of the anime covered the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.

The second cour of the anime premiered on July 8, and has so far covered the "Hero Killer Stain" arc. amazarashi is performing the new opening theme song "Sora ni Utaeba" (If I Sing in the Sky), and LiSA is performing the ending theme song "Datte Atashi no Hero" (Still My Hero).
