@minisiets Vocaloids are not allowed. I discussed this in lenght with BK this morning. I'll only accept a Vocaloid if they sing in an anime and that the song(s) sung in that anime are the only material used to support the nominated Vocaloid. My reasoning is due to their popularity. This decision is final.

 

I see Vocaloids as a voice synthesis software (which they are). As I said previously, I discussed this with BK this morning and my decision is final and not open for debate. I already compromised once for groups to be allowed.

Wait, what? So she's too popular to be nominated. I retract my nom if that's the rules I guess, but I gotta be honest, that's a terrible reason to exclude a character, especially one that's already been accepted in previous eliminations. I've never heard of a character being excluded from a comp before just because they're too likely to win.

 

As I have said previously, if she sings in an anime, nominate her from that one anime and use whatever song(s) she sings in that anime as the only material to support her. To be honest though, I don't think the community can be that objective. There will always be at least one person that will base their vote off a popular/iconic song that was not sung in whatever anime picked. I'm done discussing this.

 

What is this, the organization's latest plot to sabotage me before this competition has even started? Well met then o impervious one, but you forgot one crucial consideration! The great Hououin Kyouma doesn't play by the rules; it is my job--nay, my duty to break them! So I submit a conundrum for you to ponder upon, arbitrator of darkness. Exactly how is it possible for one to achieve objectivity in a fundamentally opinion-based medium? Are any of the test subjects here before us today still under the delusion that these are or ever have been more than trivial exercises in popularity contests? How many more worthy nominations must be crushed beneath the feet of the acclaimed not for their lack of merit but by the shroud of ambiguity before this myth may dissolve? Indeed, your attempts to curtail the inevitable are exchanges in futility, and if I can distract you with just a few more fancy words, hopefully no one will notice that we were actually arguing about something and just leave the nominations as-is.
