    So apparently in 22 episodes Nyanta is a better melee character than Gintoki is throughout 265 eps, 2 movies, 3 specials and 1 crossover.

    Well, that's a given. ;)

    It sucks that the episodes where he's fighting as a cat aren't on youtube because that could potentially gain some votes right there as well, just have a look at how bad arse he appears in cat form

    But it is a good thing you didn't watch them Mafia as one comes from ep 210 while the other comes from around the 50 area  so even though you are starting this soon it will be quite some time before you actually get to see them.

    Anyway this scene is from the recap 1st Movie which definitely shows how deserving Gintoki actually is

    I watched the vids but unfortunately I have not seen the show. Those videos, however decent graphical display, may not do the character justice overall. It felt more like, besides the few times that he would appear to have situational awareness, he just fought like some wild animal grasping at whatever means to succeed rather than finesse and battle skill. Again, I have not seen the show so these are split second opinions based on 2 short videos, if the show is engaging I would one day watch it and have a better more justifiable opinion. As far as my opinion of Nyanta it is his finesse and battle skill and wisdom that provided my vote this time around. I appreciate your opinions and hope to someday acquire the experience of Gintoki to better appreciate him as a character.


    That last video you posted was great for the character, I liked this one a lot, better display of fighting abilities.

    No, but this is always a popularity contest with people. Picking the better of the two based on the theme has never worked lol.
