    Honestly this is a tough round. Both are more than just a swordsman, but because of that neither just use the sword as their primary weapon. Meliodas' Full Counter doesn't really count as a melee attack to me since it basically reflects with magic.
    But Rin uses his blue hellfire a bit as well. I'll just go with the one I like more currently.

    Currently I am disliking the 2nd season of the seven deadly sins. I enjoyed the first but meh to this new one. Some of the fights are okay though.

    Nothing against Kirito, but in my opinion this shouldn't be a contest at all. Kenshin is an actual samurai, Kirito even though he used his ''real'' body (his real body was in his bedroom the whole time) is a gamer.

    But to promote Kenshin's fighting skills abit more, this video is from his time in the boshin war, the war that led to modern Japan, working as an assassin. It's 3 vs 1 in this fight, yet they only manage to land one scratch on Kenshin.
    If you are watching Rurouni Kenshin this is not from the anime but from the OVA. And this is not for the light hearted.

    No offense taken.. though just for the record whether fiction or non-fiction character shouldn't diminish how reputable the characters 'swordsmanship' is...

    Take Kirito for example... (and for the record he does use his real body later in Ordinal Scale)....

    But with magic and skills that power up stats and increase mobility, I find that to be extremely detrimental to kirito's cause here. Sure he gets the one life applied to him like other nominees in this game but the skills he is using aren't his own for the majority of what has been shown.
    I haven't seen Kenshin in the slightest but samurai fighting with his own skills instead of video game skills will grab my vote every time.
