Once more, I’m not a gundam fan so I vote for the other option. Although this one does look more interesting than the others as I do like the older animation as it has a certain appeal. Damn, did I underestimate a gundam for my perfect bracket?


This one is a super robot series as opposed to the normal Gundam real robot series. Normally Gundam is basically about nations that fight using these as weapons with normal function, ie you press button, move the stick. This one uses mo cap and emotion to strengthen attacks.
This is much more in league with GL or Star Driver than the other Gundams because it is a super robots series.

Dude even if you hate Gundam you need to give G gundam a try. Many fans of Gundam hate G gundam for being completely different to the point of pretty much being a gundam series in name only. First of all the Gundams are motion controled so rather than buttons and joy stick being behind a gundam's punch it's a guy behind it punching inside the cockpit. G gundam was actually the first gundam I ever saw when I was young and I loved it. Don't look at this as another gundam series. Look at this as a completely stand along series. Seriously guys whether you are mecha fans or not give G gundam a chance. I can't garantee you'll like it but I can garantee that it's nothing like other gundam series in the slightest. So you're just because you may not like other gundam series means nothing. If you don't like G gundam it just means you also didn't like G gundam. But it has an interesting style to it and is one of those anime that IMO everyone needs to see at least once. I may be a little biased because G gundam was among the first few anime I ever saw so to me it's a classic. It helped me get into anime. But it's still true that this is not even close to other gundam series so don't judge it based on your opinion of the other series.

In fact I feel like rewatching it now.

No my perfect bracket is ruined. That was the longest I’ve had it going before screwing up but at least it was on a round I was completely clueless about. To the people trying to get me to watch G Gundam I am no longer much of a mecha fan so I am in no hurry to watch it, however you have intrigued me enough to at least plan to check it out sometime in the future.About this round, scarlet rain is an avatar not even a robot how she qualifies as a mech I have no idea, I would have been okay if it were her huge suite of armour weapon equip but her by herself I just don’t see it. So obviously I am voting for the other option that I am yet to watch…

Good. G gundam really is an interesting series. Also just a heads up the dub does make certain changes like renaming Devil Gundam to Dark gundam but people still die and stuff so the changes aren't too heavy from what I know.But about the Scarlet Rain thing The armor counts as part of her so when Voting for her you are also voting for the armor. The armor itself doesn't have a name. Now as for my vote. While I would have liked to vote for scarlet rain I just have to go with the Nirvash. He's a senient robot that can turn into a car and later a plane. Pluse she has a giant surf board that he uses to fly through the sky.
