The first wolf our family had, we got from the pound. Everyone thought it was a type of dog, though i can't remember what type, including us. His name was Ranger, best pet our family ever had. Then one day when Ranger was in the back of my dad truck in the parking lot, a professor studying animals identified it as a timber wolf. It was one of the most kind, loyal pets we've ever had.

Second was Raven. She came from one of my Uncles, along with a golden retriever Canyon. I don't know where my uncle got her. She was a Black Wolf I believe. She, Ranger, and Canyon were the best three pets in my life. The three would romp around our back yard, and our neighbors fields.

Ranger died getting hit by a truck, pushing my little brother out of the way. After Ranger's death, Raven and Canyon wasn't the same. They didn't really romp through the fields anymore, only staying in our yard. A year or two later, Raven bleed to death in our family room, apparently she got cut in the stomach by our neighbor's fence. (their fence was old, and the hole they used to go through had a sharp piece of wood sticking out) After her death Canyon became violent and had bit two kids. We had to put him down.
