do they watch more in one day or less than you do. hehe just asking

so the westerners have difficulty talking it out in the open huh.. well its not really a news to me but it still confuses me as you guys (both americans and europeans) tend to be more open to things. anime here is so open that even the neighbors watch them at some point. i even have a neighbor where he lets his sons watch anime rather than the usual cartoons.

“I feel like that’s the case with many forums, however. Social media seems to be where it’s at these days and many people just don’t have the time or will to get involved in a forum. It’s like joining a club, practically, that you have to put time into. People just don’t want to commit, don’t have the time, and have accounts on various other sites like Twitter and FB where they can chat about whatever they want with whomever they like and not have to adjust to a brand new community.” This rings true, but is ironic. Anime viewers tend to be a niche crowd. In most cases you can’t walk up to a friend at school and start a convo about anime. You would think people would be overjoyed to meet people with the same interests to talk to in a safe, community setting.

That’s true. But most people are attracted to other people with similar interests. Most likely you’ll have at least a few friends who are into anime if you’re into it. A lot of times it’s just easier to stick to what you know and not have to put in the effort to make new friends. Social media already caters to means of communication between their existing friends.

I find the opposite to be true. I talk to so many people daily who are “in the closet” about their anime viewing because it isn’t popular. In my real life, I only know two people outside of the internet that even know what anime is, but maybe I’m an irregularity.

Yeah for the most part if I tell people I like anime I get a weird look like I'm strange. But I'm lucky enough to know quite a few people outside the internet who have a passion for anime like I do.

Basically just the same here. I've met quite a lot of people who actually like anime, but compared to them, when I start talking about anime, it seems as if I'm obsessed.

    My spidey sense is tingling….

    Something else is tingling too.

I found this oddly captivating. My mind keeps telling me to close the damn tab but I couldn't pull away. Must be the song. Got to be the song.

I have seen both sides of the scene regarding anime. In highschool no one i hung around with talked about it except for dbz and the occasional naruto fighting game and everyone else just looked away from it regarding it as something weird. After i entered college though everyone that i started to hang around with had watched at least one anime and either was really into anime or is indifferent to it. Generally i still do think though that society around the US sees anime more as the weird hobby

That is no random image, steins gate fits any scenario.

About friends, mine never did in high school, I'd talk about an anime and they'd listen and sometimes watch a bit of it. Could of been because those I considered friends were few in number but basically every one of them had watched some anime at one point in time. Considering I only began watching anime because of a friend and one of my teachers, perhaps it is weirder that I have a group that all accepts this aspect about me.
Although I am considerably more into the fandom than all of them, combined.

Chuunibyou in a lab coat, fitting enough, although I can top it. This is Wooser, he is voiced by the same person who did Okarin's voice, in scene he wears a lab coat and introduces himself as "I am mad…….." he might say scientist but I don't exactly remember anymore.

His sig of Shinji nodding his head in shame makes this all the more appropriate.

Noobs knows no limits with his mind, there is no such thing as  azure image in this world.

ok then… have some more [IMG]

Regarding this pic, now I haven't checked release dates but I am assuming that its movie will be appearing online soon enough, the steins gate movie is already up and subbed although it is bad quality, since I believe this was released about the same time it may be a matter of weeks until it is online. Then again it might still take months….

well the story is nice and all but im not really waiting for the hd of this one to be be out. what im waiting for really are the sequels (if ever there will be) of spice and wolf, mohs, railgun, index, claymore, and skip beat.
steins;gate in other hand is something im really waiting for.
