Gangnam Style came out of nowhere and then everyone just kept going on about it. It was everywhere on UK TV.I remember hearing somewhere that it was meant to be satirical look at the "rich and beautiful" in an area of South Korea called Gangnam which is the Korean equivalent of LA.

^ no you got it backwards as I'm sure it would of been the same everywhere, Gangnam style had already caught massive online attention for whatever it was that attracted us all to it in the first place. Once that happens then the media uses it to get more views etc. to show that they are still up to date regardless of what the new fad might be. This then boosts popularity further, but by that stage anyone from this community had surely already seen it as it did skyrocket unbelievably fast.

Yep BK, it was a satirical view of the rich's lifestyle, of course if you've searched the lyrics it isn't nearly as good when reading them but you got to love the way it sounds in Korean with random english line inserts.

well if they really are going to be the next gangnam, they have to be at hundred million views in a month.

It was much more than that in a month, it didn't even take 3 months to hit the billion mark if I remember correctly, so the fox only reaching 100 million in a whole month isn't going to help it reach that level.

 

^ not with that kind of attitude, you must push through the pain to fully conquer last person, my devotion to this thread made me backtrack and read every reply that was posted before my joining in the original one which was more than 2000 responses. So onward to battle.

Yea although it is catchy and has been getting a bit of attention its not gonna reach gangnam levels, although 25 mil views in about a week is still pretty good for most things not named gangnam style

Yeah it has acquired an impressive amount of views but sadly no where near enough to skyrocket into he legendary positions on youtube. Even as we type people are still watching Gangnam style, the official one is over 1.7 billion views now.

 

Whaaa...1.7 billion or 1,700,000,000 views - that's over 1/9 of the human race.

Drink more water in between drinks. Proper hydration while getting smashed is the surefire method for preventing a hangover.

 

You'd be surprised how much liquid your body can hold.

 

Anime food does look appetising at times, as long as the characters know how to cook that is. For me though I'd settle with wishing that food looked like what it does in the adds, those lying bastards have gotten away with it for too long.

 

yeah, I have never got a burger that looks like what's on the posters.
