i came for the anime

 

I joined because I got bored watching anime and having no-one to about what I watched. This when JD was Dubbinz. The first person to welcome me was Hatless.

SK loves dragging people into debates about anime!

But we enjoy it and have a great time.

 

Originally everyone came for the anime. This is an anime site after all. Watching shit would always come first.

And then they just died. Sad but unavoidable. Having the winner take the crown with only 3 votes total..... I almost felt sorry for the elimination games in the end. They were a lot of fun in the beginning.

Were you a Dubbinz refugee BK? I knew in the beginning we didn't actually talk. I remember It actually took Noobs to encourage me to chat in the general chat on Skype way back when before we began to talk a lot. Back then I only used Skype to chat to Noobs, much like how on Discord I only really send you messages.
I still kind of miss Hatless. He just disappeared many years ago. So many good people to have a chat with did the same.

Me or Noobs. Usually its between the two of us. If you joined all those years ago there was a rush of 4-8 accounts welcoming every new person to sign up.

I'm Aussie. Fighting is in my blood. It can't be helped. But a small correction, I have a great time arguing about anime regardless even if the other person does not.

I randomly came across Dubbinz looking for somewhere to watch dubbed anime and saw ad for a competition from the forums. The reason I stayed was because I found the Studio Ghibli club.

I remember when Spor was just a mod, when he turned up he would come in like a bull and everyone would run for cover (well those that didn't know him well enough). This community has had it's up downs but most have some great memories.

Ah yes, Stray's Studio Ghibli. Was fun. But it didn't have that many events. Obviously it was limited in what it could do, but it was what made me watch Arrietty subbed when it first came out. Think I watched Kiki and the Cat Returns for the first time because of it too.
But then I decided to just watch everything when the club ended.
