Yeah I get that a lot too. But the image is usually hidden there anyway. When that happens try clicking reply to get the image to load in your text box. Almost always fixes it for me.
Not sure what causes it.

Yep, I'm quite use to that happening too. A lot of the images you post break and I resort to simply quoting them first.

 

Sometimes things just go wrong. I don't bother being that helpful as long as something should work. As long as quoting works I'll use it.

 

Considering how the site is currently, I don't think its worth looking into. Having everybody focus on the dreaming end is definitely top priority. We're two of the only idio.. users left to post in here anyway.
Also your image in the Noobs no Nichijou thread was one I had to quote, the one with the movie posters was broken.

They generally work, just on the odd occasion some don't. Then there are times when pictures don't work then checking later it works.

 

broken images has been an ongoing issue for quite sometime time. The forum's very intolerant but we can't figure out what specific parameters it wants. Vashnik spent quite some time try to figure it out but couldn't find a complete work around.

 

Only workaround is to quote the broken image, works perfectly fine if the image isn't actually broken. Uploading to different places just to share a pic is too much trouble when it could just be broken again for random users at any time.

I don't like Imgur, don't know why. It just didn't seem to work properly for me. Although the add plagued tiny pic is apparently shutting down so don't expect too many specially uploaded images from me.

 

Yeah it does have issues when uploading especially with bulk uploads. I use ShareX which works better but you need to install and you get far too many options so takes time to get used to.

 

I'd rather not install anything else on my old mac, so the easiest fix is just to not post my own pictures. Although I haven't really posted my own pictures in a while. Only one was the one in the signature thread in more than a year.
Guess you guys will never see a picture of me now, besides the one Maddy shared that is.....
