that is true. Duterte is always compared to Trump due to his unconventional political behavior. he says what he want to say on a local setting but his actions become different in international setting. the thing that makes the two different is that Trump has no background in politics but has (in some degree) in managing business or something along with finance while Duterte is the opposite.

 

My aunt is still in a daze about Trump. She's been head of the Austin Democrats for 2 years. Austin is dominantly Democrat and they have been fighting for their say since they became democrat. Dominantly Republican Texas on the other hand, won't allow democrat delegates. System is screwed.

 

nah you guys will be alright. you'll only have to take care of local issues coz trump do not have that much foreign policy that can trigger Russia. we on the other hand are still looking for friends. xD

 

I'm not quite sure of that. My family is already making plans on leaving. And honestly, I'm with them. Although I'm not sure where we are going to go. My Aunt wants to move to Paraguay. But I'm not sure if I'd like to live there. I can take my skills in tech and in cooking and live just about anywhere. I might just move to Japan. I'd rather live there than anywhere anyway.

 

For some reason,I always thought that A Repubic government to be restrictive than Democratic one. Don't ask why, since it's merely a thought.

 

In all of history, democratic governments have always, and I mean always, resulted in war between the people. The longest lasting singular government in the world was the Roman Republic. It lasted for over 400 years before being dismantled by Julius Caesar and installing a dictatorship rule in Rome. Rome then would only last about 5-30 years per Caesar. Each Caesar being different and changing the government structure every time. The second longest running singular government was the Grecian Republic which finally united all of Greece but lasted only about 300 years before the fall of Greece to Rome. Republics have a history for being the most stable and long lasting form of government. Monarchies and Dictatorships coming in second, Socialistic Communities/republics(doesn't make sense by the way)/dictatorships, coming in third, and Democracies in dead last.

 

I hear democracies are short-lived, good for a fledgling nation, but must be grown out of.
