My thoughts? Well she's an interesting character. When she was first introduced I was somewhat afraid of another Sasuke character on our hands. Meaning a character that just goes on an on about revenge, turns to to a complete ass because of it, and just eventually makes you not care about them one way or the other. But instead of simple revenge she more wanted to find out why he was killed more than actual revenge and even when she goes berserk on Nui she snaps out of it and shows self control in the end. She seems very strong willed and definitely not the time to take orders or listen to anyone she doesn't completely trust. Recently though after learning her real origins she lost faith in everyone which caused her to become completely bull headed and blinded by rage. But in a way this is good to as it shows that she is very human. I mean how would you feel if someone told you that your entire life was a lie and you're father who you couldn't help but love raised you just so that you could be a weapon? But when she has her head on straight she has a good sense of justice. So she's not overly imperfect or too human either.

That's all I can think to say.

This is why I love you Maddy; giving us more yuri per post than anyone else.I liked this episode too. One, yuri kiss, and two, awesome fight. I thought it was a bit funny that Mako got sucked in along with Senketsu. I hope Ryuuko can get the two halves of the scissor blade now. That will be cool.

 

Plot twist after plot twist, I can't take this anymore, this anime just gets more awesome and more epic

Yeah this episode really threw me for a loop there. I actually wondered for a second is Ryuko might not snap out of it again at least until the end of the series after Ryuko sliced Senketsu and threw them both out of her body. Seriously how often does the MC's best friend go "if you want to kill me then just do it" and the MC actually swings? I know it's happened but not really that often. Normally that is the moment the MC drops their weapon and starts crying.

that fight was also really epic I didn't even think of combining blade and flying forms together like that. I thought it was a "Only one form at a time" kinda thing.

I also wish she would get the other blade because I like dual wielding but I have a feeling she'll give it to Satsuki or something.

I'm really sad that we're reaching the end of the series. there are 24 episodes so only 3 left at this point. This is definately one of my favorite anime ever. When I comes out in dub I'm definitely going to buy it.

 

So when Aniplex releases it, we're all gonna spend a lot on Kill la Kill right?

Well in this case she sorta killed her "Best friend" in her mind world so that sorta counts. Besides that so far no one has really died in this series besides Ryuko's dad via flashback. Which isn't a bad thing IMO because killing characters off isn't the only way to keep things dramatic. Besides she's only really been mind controlled twice.

Nah Ryuko had to snap out of it, remember these are the guys behind Gurren Lagann so she was going to do something impressive, had she not of snapped out of it I would have been slightly disappointed.
Trust Satsuki to put Senketsu skills to a new unseen use.
This is just what I am thinking but I’m sure she can’t. Ragyo is filled with life fibres and if even a single thread is intact she lives. I am sure that it will take both halves of the scissor wielded as a single weapon to definitely cut off her head and kill her. She could share the other half with Satsuki to begin with but she will most likely need it back to actually kill her.

Also a new question, I saw on MAL people were bitching because nothing happened in this ep, they were complaining that the fight is exactly where it was at an episode or two ago, does anyone see it this way or are we all agreeing that these people are dicks that don’t like the insane fights that are currently occurring?


well I knew she's snap out of it eventually but for a moment I wondered just when that would happen when Ryuko actually swung.

What if they do a thing where Ryuko has one half and Satsuki has the other half and for the finishing move they put the two halves together and cut Ragyo's head off? They could do that.

Anyway just like always this was an epic episode. It was good to finally see Nui get her ass handed to her and it was heartwarming to see everyone just getting along. Not to mention Satsuki actually apologizing for trying to manipulate Ryuko into helping her. I'm glad I was wrong about Ryuko not dual wielding her scissor blades because I just love dual blade wielding characters Plus Satsuki has her one blade turned into two as well. One of my favorite things to do in Kingdom hearts was to change into the red form and dual wield. Also did anyone notice that Senketsu's gale form looks different now? It looks like it evolved a bit.

The one thing I'm kinda disappointing about is Mako didn't get a three star uniform. I'm glad she at least got her two star back but it would have been awesome to see a three star version of her fight club uniform. Now the only thing that would make this perfect is a Gamagori and Mako tag team to finish off that giant Cover mosnter.

 

Well this anime is almost to it's end. It's a bit sad but all good things must come to an end at some point. This episode was nice seeing the Ultimate Uniforms. Now to see the big final fight. Oh, and I like how in the picture above, how Mako's head stat is 0000 and everything else is 9999.

Well even an Ultima Uniform (I guess it is a three star even if I only see two stars on it since only three stars are supposed to be Ultima Uniforms) can't fix Mako's head. But that is what makes her so lovable. But anyway, man the fight in this episode was awesome. Watching Ryuko and Satsuki flying around, seeing new Deva Uniforms, seeing all of them take on Ragyou, and just everything was pure awesomeness. They even made all those losers who were beat in the early episodes look pretty cool.


It really is sad to see this show end but I'd rather see it end then watch it lose it's steam by being stretches out too long. For this show to have not only kept it's energy from the first episode throughout the series but actually gotten even more intense and awesome is just amazing. You just can't make an anime like this is you're only trying to make money or appeal to the most profitable fan bases. Something like this needs writers with some real passion and talent and with the guys behind Gurren Laggan running this you really couldn't ask for more.

The CGI looks a bit off.

And finally, just some other thoughts.
Am I the only one here who thinks Kill la Kill is completely overrated?
What exactly do people mean when they say "edgy" here?
And also, Maddy, I didn't think Ryuuko's VA was doing a very good job until that sadistic part.

maybe. but I still absolutely love it. I think the characters are well writen. I think the writting is great and has a lot of twists that I either didn't expect or went in a way I didn't expect. The animation took a little getting used to but I like it now. The action scenes are really good as well. Maybe you didn't enjoy it as much but I simply loved it. Easily one of my favorite shows ever.

I really wouldn't call this show "edgy" more like intense and fast paced. The MC talks about revenge a little bit but that isn't really the main focus. The plot also keeps up a very good pace and doesn't rush through things but also doesn't slow down the plot to buy time or use any filler.

 

*cries like crazy*, I really enjoyed the anime and I can't believe Senketsu died, I wanna sit down on a guitar that I can't play and write a song about Senketsu even though I'm not a songwriter

Now that the drama part is out, glad that it had a great ending, and there was a lot of fanservice in this episode (sorta)

This episode has like so many similarities with GL. XD
An "Awwwwww... " to Senketsu... (and who's saying you're not cute?) and a "Lolololololol~" to Ryuuko's reaction. XD
Well, I guess that's an alright ending. Yesterday, Facebook pages (edit: the above poster too ;P )were posting stuff about how completely and utterly sad the ending was, but I'm kinda like "Did we even watch the same anime? It's not even that sad..." and then I remember; I'm a sadist. XD
Oh, final point of mention; I take half a star off the rating for Bowlcut not dying.
