Do you mean anime this season I find horrible or at least barely passible? If that is what you mean most of what I have seen seems at least okay but I can give a few crtitic.Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil- What this show tries to pass off as a legal system is a complete and utter joke. I understand what they are trying to go for. It's a society that discriminates against magicans and so the court system treats them unfairly. But this show just spits in the face of every sort of rule of Law I know. Different countries have different legal systems but this one is just absurd for the sake of forcing drama. Like in the first episode a guy kills a backrobber who was attacking him. Not only do they try to accuse him of being partners with the robbers without the slightest proof but they try to give him the god damn death penatly! Seriously? Even if you could get me to beleive that he could be convicted purely on guesswork why would he get the death penalty for killing a "fellow" criminal and being a part of just one bank robbery. Again all this baseless accusations without even a little proof. Plus as an added bonus it tries to force in these weird mecha battles that aren't very impressive at all. It is a good idea for a show but seems to be failing in several ways. Maybe it will get better but I'm not sure. I hate racism so shows where pretty much everyone is a racist jerk and the show makes it a point to constantly remind you of this tend to bother me.Witch Craft Works- This one is more passible and it's main crime is just feeling a bit bland mostly. It has the useless protagonist and the strong heroine and all that stuff. On the bright side he's at least not as bad as most and is at least genuinely trying to do all that he can. So far it's not blowing me away but it gets me a few laughs so it's at least good enough to not drop.Is that what you meant by shit anime?

Oh well...... let me think about that then.I'll give you a few different kinds of shit.Boring shitTenchi in Tokyo - I like the tenchi series a lot. I liked the OVA, I liked universe retelling (Liked the OVAs better though), I even liked GXP. But this show is just......GAH! Every episode feel like pure padding and makes no sense at all. For example one episode had tenchi wandering around with painfully forced love interest ms. Sweetypie and then they run into a love goddess or something who "Tests" them. It's weird, makes no sense, and is just so bland. Another episode had all the girls wanting to spy on Tenchi so Washu sets up a spy camera. you'd think being a genius who could make some of the most powerful spaceships in the universe she could just make a damn floating camera. Nope. She has to make like 20 robots who relay images in the form of messages to each other like a bad game of telaphone. Then this ghost that is a cheasy villain by even kiddy cartoon standards shows up and scrabbles the messages and they have to fight it or something. Everything about this show is either stupid or boring and none of it even feels like part of the tenchi series at all.Confusing shitXam'd- This has a decent rating on MAL but I just didn't like it. So much is just glossed over and/or forgotten in terms of plot that isn't not even funny. Most importantly is the question "WHAT THE HELL IS XAM'D?!?" Seriously throughout the entire anime all everyone goes is "Xamd this" and "Xamd" that. Why does the government was to destroy Xamd? What exactly is it "Seeking"? Who exactly are that red haired girls people? Didn't those guys on that ship that were apparently her people say something about eating human flesh? Are they Cannibals then or what? It's never brought up again. Why was that commander guy such an evil jerk? What was that weird eyeball thing that seemed to talk at some points? These questions and more are never answered at all or we are given some halfassed bull explination that pretends it's explaining something but really didn't tell you anything new. A bit of vagueness if good to keep things mysterious but this show is so focused on being mysterious it forgets to tell you enough so that you can follow the plot and forgets to ever get around to explaining some things.fun shit- Shows that probably should be considered bad but are still well liked by at least some.Mobile Fighter G Gundam- It's gundam + street fighter and it's every bit as Campy and Stupid as you'd expect such a mix to be. The plot is ridiculously simple, only one villain is at all interesting and even he's fairly cliche, and the romance is annoyingly stretched out. But it's still just a blast to watch at least for me anyway. If you're looking for complex characters and deep storylines you've come to the wrong anime. If you just want to shut your brain off and watch something only Japan could think up then this is for you. I'll also say that while it's a show with Mecha it's not really a mecha anime because of the way it uses it's mecha. So people who hate Mecha shouldn't just pass this one up.seikon no qwaser- it's a show where people will elemental powers (as in periodic elements) fight each other and their energy source is breast milk...... this should suck hard shouldn't it? It's the dumbest and most ridiculous plot you could come up with. But shockingly the action scenes are actually pretty good to the point you occasionally almost forget that badass with the scythe just sucked some girls breast for power. The plot itself is pretty standard but they actually keep a decent amount of vagueness so it's hard to tell where the show is actually heading until it's there. Plus the last episode was just hilarious in a "WHAT THE HELL AM I WATCHING!" sorta way. Season 2 was a bit disappointing but still not bad especially if you actually enjoyed season 1.Just plain bad shitKanokon- Honestly I kinda liked this anime but it was also one of my earliest anime series I saw online so I was still pretty new and just about everything seems good then. Hand Maid May- For the most part this show is Mediocre rather than bad. But that is sorta what becomes the problem as everything either seem uninteresting or annoying. The villain is beyond annoying (I think his name was nambara or something like that) and everything he's on screen I wanted to stab something. He's not a minor character either he is around ALOT and with very little of interest to distract you he drags this show down big time. Mix in a plot that takes until the end to even begin to make any sense and even then is full of holes and you've got something that is a 4/10 at best.

Powerpuff girls Z- You probably already know this one and I hardly need to say why this is shit but I felt it worth mentioning just in case.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Mechtanium Surge- Bakugan first season was actually pretty good. Second season was a little disapointing and gimmiky with mecha bakugan but overall it was okay. Third season lowered the bar even more but was still at least average. This one however..... SHIT SHIT SHIT! I have never seen such a decent show turn into such complete shit! If you thought the Mecha bakugan from season 2 were a dumb gimick try giant Mectogan things that are somehow spawned from powerful bakugan (Because somehow being strong means you can just make a robot out of nothing) and who also have inconsistent power levels. Oh what is that? You don't think that's so bad? Well how about an anime taht gets bored with it's own Gimmick so fast they introduce Titian Mechtogan (Basically giant giant robot) who also seem to get stronger to weaker as the plot demands. Oh are you still hanging on there? Well how about having all Bakugan abandoning their home world to live on earth half way through the season (Thus making all the fighting in season 2 pointless), having evil Mechtogan be the bad guys, and introducting the most painfully obvious toy plug in the history of anime. It's called the Mechtogan destroyer and you should see how much they hype this up. They say "Oh how awesome" and stuff and guess what it does? It launches Bakugan off it's shoulders so that they can kick the opponent........... that is it. Dragon can fire massive fire blasts and fly at high speeds yet for some reason a kick is so much better. They make it so obvious that this is just a crappy new toy for the real game that it's sickening. So yeah this was major shit.

Angel Links- Did you like outlaw star but wanted more breasts and less plot but don't actually want any decent fan service? Well here is Angel Links! It's hard to say what about this was bad. The plot was just sloppy and poorly written and the characters were okay at best. The ending was the worst part though and made absolutely no sense.

Slayers Revolution-As a fan of slayers this season was beyond disappointing. With a lame plot, several inconsistencies with the plot, and lame or reused villains this was just awful. The only thing good is that it has better animation than the other seasons and it still at least carries a lot of the same humor as other seasons. But everytime this show returned to the plot it just got worse.

Dragon Crisis!- Ever hear the phrase "If at first you don't succeed try try again"? Well the anime industry apparently missheard it as "If at first you succeed try try some more". Dragon Crisis is bad not just for being bland but for feeling like every other anime like it. It has cliche characters, cliche plot, and okay animation.

Exactly I said a while ago she was probably going to betray her mother but it was still shocking to see it actually happen. After all there was no way to know for sure that she would go against her mother. It just seemed likely given what we know About Satsuki's personality. She's the kind of person who respects resolve and ambition both of which would be crushed by Life fibers ruling over humanity. So I'm happy to see the writer didn't betray my expectations on this one because I would have lost respect for her character if she had simply bowed to her mother and the life fibers.

Also even if I expected betrayal, skewering her mother and literally crucifying her as she declares her true intentions was just too amazing for words. Seriously when it happened at first I was like "Wow so she is betraying her mother" then she crucified her and I was like "OMG THAT IS SO AWESOME!". This show really knows how to use it's fast pace and wild energy to great effect. Because there have been plenty of anime with similar plots twists but few if any had this kinda impact.

They didn't just have a scene with her betraying her mother they went above and beyond that is so many ways and that is why I just love this show. Even when you know what is coming they throw it at you in a way you don't expect. Like when Senketsu got shredded I expected a collection arc to start. Instead it was three collection scenes which while a bit disappointing was probably for the best since clearly they had stuff like this they needed time for. Yet they still managed to fit in the main point of a collection arc which was to show how strong Ryuko has become even without Seketsu. After all Satsuki actually used her Kamui to fight Ryuko before she even had Senketsu back.

Seriously this was just as awesome episode.

 

This anime never seems to stop amazing me. I'm truly loving this anime. This episode was no exception. We got some insight into why Satsuki is after her mother and at the very end something even Ryuko didn't know about herself. Very interesting and I'm already itching to see next weeks episode.

Because damn I did NOT see that coming! Satsuki and Ryuko being sisters is just... WOW! I can see the hints placed in this episode now but I was so focused on what was happening I didn't take the time to think about it! So it was a real shock of a plot twist so much so I'm putting this is spoilers on the off chance someone was careless enough to look at this thread without watching the latest episode.

Seriously I haven't been that surprised by an anime in a VERY long time most anime are fairly predictable and only catch you by surprise with the small stuff that happens in ways you didn't quite expect but this was a major point that I did not see coming. I expected those two to work together but for them to be sisters!?! Here I thought the last episode shocked me but damn Kill La Kill did it again.

Not to mention the bit about her being fused with life fibers that was also a surprise. Looking back I guess it makes sense since I guess that is why she was the only one able to talk to Senketsu but I just assumed it was because they were in sync.

I'm a bit disappointed though that Satsuki lost her Kamui and sword. Now what role is she going to have in the show? Will she make a new Kamui? Wear a 3 star uniform? Or will she just leave it to Ryuko and serve as a commander for her own remaining forces? Speaking of which what will happen to Ryuko? Sure she can't die here or the show is over but Ragyou has her heart literally in her hands. I'm excited to see what happens next and not many anime do that for me anymore. Sure I'm interested in seeing what happens next in most anime but I can't remember the last time an anime had me this excited.

Like Hikikomori said this anime truely never ceases to amaze me. I didn't think an anime could maintain such energy or keep so many surprises.

 

Meta if you want unpredictability go watch Samurai Flamenco, that show after about X episodes just became guess the next plot twist.

Although you are right, Kill la Kill has managed to keep me entertained every week without fail. I watch this show with somebody and after a certain point they said “could she be the sister” which I was thinking as well, then of course it was revealed, so it isn’t as unpredictable as other shows but it is entertaining nonetheless.

What surprised me the most in this episode was just how easily Satsuki lost, she seemed overly confident which meant that she was of course going to lose but that happened so quickly. And the mother equipping it instantaneously was interesting, like she needed any more power.

To answer your question, Ryuko should manage to live just fine, Ragyu had her head cut off and a single thread was all that was needed so I’m sure the same will also be true for her. Also lets not forget she pierced her own skull to remove the thread forcefully so having her own heart removed shouldn’t be too big of a deal yet [especially considering that the mothers heart was pierced last episode].

Speaking of last episode, I need to know, did anyone notice that the brother was naked before the mother pointed it out? That family has to be the most entertaining one I’ve seen in a long time in anime, between their meal antics and Mako’s general spazzy attitude they make for a great bit of relief from the fights.



Well yeah she's probably going to live but it's going to be interesting to see just how she manages to escape. Also no I did not notice that at all.

Speaking of them I found it funny that Gamagori actually instructed Mako to get all the people to safety. He really does pay attention to her a lot. It would be interesting if that led to something but I kinda doubt it will.

Also what do you think Satsuki is going to do now? She's been easily beaten and her Kamui stolen and Ryuko has been revealed as her sister who she just swore vengeance for. So what do you think she's going to do next?

 

Okay so Ryuko manages to survive because Satsuki blows up the entire bloody stadium since COVERS began eating people. Being dragged by Senketsu to Nudist Beach, that is one awesome ally despite being only a uniform.And a timeskip, but man this episode seems to really say that the Gamagori x Mako shipping is quite possible.The elite 4 joining nudist beach was hilarious, especially the death scene of the kendo suite as it did seem to imitate the fall of Viral’s Enki mech.Mako’s mother was definitely staring at the leader of this organisation when he appeared. Gamagori was talking loudly to everyone yet she was staring straight at his purple light. I love this family, they are all such eccentric characters.
And then we had the rebirthing of Mako as well, not even realising she was naked with the Guts censorship working well. Although the explosions from defeating the outfits are amusing.Lastly we got to see Ryuko go berserk by herself and destroy so many of the suites before declaring hatred for Senketsu as well, interesting place to leave us at I must say.
I know this was yet another amazing episode. I didn't expect Satsuki to just blow everything up! The whole MakoXGamagori thing is a welcome surprise because they would actually make an interesting couple. Plus it's just killing me wondering if that is going to go anywhere with all the hints they seem to be dropping. I can't tell if these are all just running jokes or if it's actually going to go somewhere.Also I felt kinda bad for Gamagori. He got to feel awesome for just a few minutes with his whole saving Mako with his new weapon and declaring his plan to slowly save everyone with it and then Ryuko just comes out of no where and K.O.s the entire army by herself and saves all the people at the same time making his arm canon pretty much useless in comparison.I don't think she really hates Senketsu though she's just so upset to find out who her real mother is and what she is that she's rejecting it all. But it's interesting to see how strong she is all of a sudden. I wonder if becoming aware of the life fibers inside her allowed her to tap into their power and make normal Ryuko about as strong as she used to be while wearing Senketsu.Finally I'm glad Satsuki isn't giving up yet and I've really interested in seeing how she treats Ryuko when they meet again considering she's the long lost sister Satsuki swore vengeance for. Plus now we learn that when Nui murdered Ryuko's father she actually murdered Satsuki's father who was in hiding. So that is going to make things interesting.

 

There's only one thing to say that hasn't been said prior. Wardrobe change!

 

Man I never know what to expect from this show. When Ragyou invited Ryuko I knew it was a trap but I kinda figured they would just use her as a battery for a covers or turn her into a mind slave like before. But they actually went the "Fake history" brainwashing route. I didn't really expect that and I really didn't expect Ryuko do be so into it. If you didn't know her normal personality you wouldn't even know she was brainwashed because she is still sane enough to talk normally and everything.

It seems like the writers are trying to give reasons to hold off Ryuko and Senketsu joining back together. Probably because now that she can use her strength as a life fiber/human hybrid if she were with Senketsu then the only fight worth watching would be her against Ragyou. So they went with this to give us something else epic to watch until it's time for the final battle.

BTW is anyone else wondering why Isshin sent Ryuuko away? I don't remember who she was living with for most of her life but I remember she said they lived apart for most of her life to the point that she didn't really feel connected to him all that much. So will the thing that calms Ryuko down and brings her back to her senses be the revelation that he didn't raise her to be a weapon and actually wanted her to live a normal life for as long as possible?

Also could someone remind me just who she was living with when Ishin left? I can't remember.

You and your Yuri *Shakes head in disgust*It's hard to pick a favorite character in the show because so many of them are good. There may be a few you dislike or hate but when looking at the good characters there are a lot to pick from. I guess I'd have to pick Satsuki because even after her plan to rise up against her mother failed she instantly prepares her next plan by sharpening her nail. She was awesome as a enemy but is equally awesome if not more so as an ally.
