Well 3rd episode was kinda good. At least this show seems to have an actual plot. Hopefully they don’t go into full crazy mode like first episode anymore..


Well the next episode seems to be a bit more about random hijinks than over the top battles. What I'm a little worried about is the battles from this point on. After all Ryouko just fought the prez on near even footing. Sure she didn't win but if she had been at full power from the very start she might have at least managed a draw. So will they have to power her down now that she has to fight all the underlings? Or will they make it seem natural that she still has to struggle against them? Will the upper level guys get perfected versions of five star uniforms to increase the challange?

Then again maybe they'll have her easily beat them all and rely on something besides "Will she be able to win?" to keep things exciting. There have been some shows that made the MC overpowered from the start and had him/her easily beating everything until the final boss. So it would be interesting to see them pull that off well.

I personally love all the crazy energy of this show but the one problem is if the first three episodes have so much energy what will they do for the next 21? How long can they possibly keep this up and will the last couple be even crazier or will they be similar to the first few? So I'll be keeping an eye on how they handle this show.

Also here is something to think about. If power is determined by the percentage of life fiber and Kamui are already 100% then does absorbing fiber from defeated uniforms actually increase her power at all or does it just mean that the enemy has lost another piece of life fiber?

 

Episode three was fun. Big battle with a bit more explanation to help redefine a few elements.

My hypothesis on this is as follows. Just because here Kamui is made out of 100% Life Fiber, doesn't mean it can't get stronger. Think of the Kamui as a glass full of water with the physical glass representing the Life Fibers and the amount of water the percent of fiber. As of right now, she has a small glass that full of water (to represent it's 100%). When a new Life Fiber is added, the glass gets a bit taller, thus can hold more water (AKA power). By defeating the Class President's underlings, she should be stronger than she is now and, through some epic fight, emerged victorious against the Class Pres.

Also, what Meta said is this authors problem. Gurren Lagann had the same problem. Too much energy in the first 10 eps or so and too much happened, which made the episodes after that terribly boring and useless, which resulted in me dropping it. But that was also due to the lack of plot. Which why i'm happy this show does seem to have a plot. I hope they can keep the plot interesting or else i will be annoyed by this in no time.

Also that friend of Ryouko can die for all i care. Most annoying character in anime history.

The funny thing is this anime seems to have twice as much energy as Gurren laggan so even if it slows down later it might still be like the high points of Guren Lagann.

This new episode was.... energetic. It was kinda funny though. Reminded me of the good old cartoon jokes.

Well with ep5 we were introduced to yet another colorful character and got to learn a tiny bit more about Life Fibers. I would have like a little back story about that girl who was over-taken by her Life Fiber clothing, but that may come in a later ep.

I have a feeling that the girl is probably either Matoi's or the president's mother. I'm going to guess Matoi's mother for now because that is normally how these things go.

 

So, this episode was, different. The fight was really cool and showed the power of the Elite Four. We also learned that Life Fibers can be replaced in a uniform.

Yea Mako was pretty strong. But they went against Ryuko too easily it almost feels unreal.

Yeah it felt kinda weird. I wish they could have kept the apartment level life style though. You don't have to live in the slums to be humble and remember what is important. At least with the apartment they have a decent standard of living.

 

I liked episode 7. Making a fight club to gain power within was cool. I agree it would have been nice it they could have stayed in the apartment they "upgraded" into the first time (or higher).
Can't wait for ep8.

 

OK, who else is getting excited about what will happen next?

 

I cant wait Animefansftw had a torrent for the next up, but when I got home from collage, it had been removed. Just going to have to wait until Friday like normal.
